  1. Have they stopped running the oil tanker trains along that stretch of railway? Years ago when drinking in Soi Zero (which also went by the name of Buckskin Joe Village) next to the Sukhumvit Road crossing, under the expressway, you used to get a free one of what ever you were drinking when / if a train went past. I thought they were still running them at night?
  2. I realise this isn't the OP's bank, but FYI, I can, and have, transferred 2M baht at a time using the KBank app. Just increase the daily limit to that amount (which is the maximum possible), make the transfer, which arrives in the other bank account instantly, and drop the limit back to whatever you feel comfortable with. (If you want to transfer up to 4M, transfer 2M just before midnight and another 2M just after).
  3. A nice look at the zombie audience for Putin's annexation speech. They clapped when expected to, but showed no real emotion, other than a vague look of horror on some faces. They know what this may lead to. Note, too, the enormous gap between the front row and the rostrum. He really has major fears / trust issues.
  4. That's a different Chi River than the one in the OP. Rather confusing, but there are two of them. The one in the OP is the longest river that is wholly in Thailand, and is to the north of the Mun. The one forming part of the Buriram-Surin border is to the south of the Mun, (indicated by the red arrow) and flows roughly northwards into it. The water in this one was almost level with the bridge where 226 crosses it yesterday (Thursday), and the whole of 226 was flooded closer to Surin, just past the ring road junction. The Robinson carpark also added a paddling pool experience to my shopping trip.
  5. He's done it: "Russian President Vladimir Putin formally announced the Kremlin’s intention to annex nearly a fifth of Ukraine in blatant violation of international law. Once the process is officially complete, Moscow will recognize four Ukrainian regions as Russian territory: Luhansk and Donetsk – home to two Russian-backed breakaway republics where fighting has been ongoing since 2014 – as well as Kherson and Zaporizhzhia, two areas in southern Ukraine that have been occupied by Russian forces since shortly after the invasion began." Putin announces illegal annexation of Ukrainian regions, pledging people there will become Russian citizens 'forever' | CNN
  6. Stop joking. My friend was a great hue man being. I've had the blues since he's been gone, and my eulogy at his funeral brought the house brown.
  7. My mates called me tight, so I decided to buy them a beer to prove I'm not. Turns out they wanted one each!
  8. Due to a mix up in the Urology department at the hospital, Orange Juice is off the Breakfast menu today.
  9. Breaking news: Inspector Clouseau has caught minkypox.
  10. My mate bet me £10 that I couldn't do a Butterfly impression. I thought, that's got to be worth a little flutter.
  11. I'm in trouble with the wife. We were in bed and she asked what I would like to do most with her body. Apparently "Identify it" wasn't the right answer.
  12. There's been an explosion at the paint factory where my mate works. He's missing, presumed red.
  13. It might have helped if they had have stuck this on it
  14. Well, luckily I don't have to choose. My grandfathers were both on the right side in WWII. (Right, as in correct, not right as in fascist).
  15. If everyone through history had that attitude we'd all still be living under a feudal system, slaving away for the local lord, or in a colony under an imperial occupation. There's always the option to protest - if there are enough brave people about.
  16. Richard Gere was on the most recent series of Who Do You Think You Are. They went back to his Great Great Grandfather who was the worlds first ventriloquist - his first name was Gottler, apparently.
  17. Who’s in favour of bringing back Roman numerals? I for one!
