  1. Hotels and Resorts in Thailand are priced to target wealthy foreigners - NOT Thais with a much lower income. Reduce the prices for Thais and Expats and the tourism business will be able to survive, while the Return of Investment will have to wait.
  2. I always order with delivery option "Local Post Plus", as DHL in Thailand uses any opportunity to charge duty and tax, and will go to extremes, like increasing the value of a low value shipment. The law in Thailand is very clear, that you can import goods with a value of 1,500 Baht or below from any country, without having to pay any duty or tax.
  3. Iherb gives you an extra discount on not already discounted products, when you buy for 60 US$ and use the code VALUE60. A new valuable feature is, that you will get shipping for only 4 US$, when you buy for more than 40 US$. I often order for a higher value and never had to pay any import duty or tax.
  4. The price of supplements bought in Thailand is ridiculously high, because of a ridiculously high import duty on supplements and other "Luxury" stuff.
  5. Nicotine patches succesfully helped me quit smoking 27 years ago. If available at that time, I would definitely have selected e-cigarettes instead. If e-cigarettes should be banned, so should all sorts of tobacco for smoking!
  6. Now would be the perfect moment to cancel the deal and use the money to bring happiness to the people instead.
  7. The worlds Free Trade agreements with China benefits China way more, than the other way round. The worlds politicians must have received loads of brown (or maybe red) envelopes to sign these agreements.
  8. Maybe the dogs had been barking night and day, like some of the dogs in my neighborhood do. Dog owners should show some responsibility and properly train their dogs to behave, so they don't constantly irritate the neighbors.
  9. The most funny thing about Thailand is, how the police always need to be reminded to do their job.
  10. "TCC Chairman Sanan Angubolkul suggested that the administration only collect 10% of the total land tax owed for the period of 2020 to March 2022" How would that be assisting the public, rather than assisting the rich elite like TCC Chairman Sanan Angubolkul?
  11. A Submarine without engines, is not worse than an Aircraft-Carrier without Airplanes.
  12. Didn't they say the exact same thing the last two years?
  13. Had the patient been travelling recently, or have he picked the virus up locally?
  14. All brown envelopes are made of recycled paper.
  15. Probably an inside job. I wonder if any of the guests used the bathroom in the house during the party?
  16. Maybe there are some unused Covid-19 quarantine hotel beds available?
  17. Incorrect information. The actual percentage of people in Thailand, who have received 2 doses is 72.1%, which is definitely not bad.
  18. I tried Carls Jr. a few times right after they opened in thIland, but since they both times refused to let me have a bottle of water instead of soft drinks when ordering a set menu, I have given them a miss ever since.
  19. I did my 90 days notice online yesterday. I had to disable my Kaspersky antivirus first though, as it wouldn't allow me access, since the websites security certificate was expired.
