Local tourists may help Thailand's tourism industry survive
Xonax replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Hotels and Resorts in Thailand are priced to target wealthy foreigners - NOT Thais with a much lower income. Reduce the prices for Thais and Expats and the tourism business will be able to survive, while the Return of Investment will have to wait. -
iHerb not working? Where else to get supplements?
Xonax replied to Lorry's topic in Health and Medicine
I always order with delivery option "Local Post Plus", as DHL in Thailand uses any opportunity to charge duty and tax, and will go to extremes, like increasing the value of a low value shipment. The law in Thailand is very clear, that you can import goods with a value of 1,500 Baht or below from any country, without having to pay any duty or tax. -

Iherb gives you an extra discount on not already discounted products, when you buy for 60 US$ and use the code VALUE60. A new valuable feature is, that you will get shipping for only 4 US$, when you buy for more than 40 US$. I often order for a higher value and never had to pay any import duty or tax. -

The price of supplements bought in Thailand is ridiculously high, because of a ridiculously high import duty on supplements and other "Luxury" stuff. -

The worlds Free Trade agreements with China benefits China way more, than the other way round. The worlds politicians must have received loads of brown (or maybe red) envelopes to sign these agreements. -
Maybe the dogs had been barking night and day, like some of the dogs in my neighborhood do. Dog owners should show some responsibility and properly train their dogs to behave, so they don't constantly irritate the neighbors.

TCC Urges Government to Consider Reduced Land Tax Collection
Xonax replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
"TCC Chairman Sanan Angubolkul suggested that the administration only collect 10% of the total land tax owed for the period of 2020 to March 2022" How would that be assisting the public, rather than assisting the rich elite like TCC Chairman Sanan Angubolkul?- 1 reply

Incorrect information. The actual percentage of people in Thailand, who have received 2 doses is 72.1%, which is definitely not bad.

Say goodbye to Big Carl as Carl’s Jr leaves Thailand by the end of March
Xonax replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I tried Carls Jr. a few times right after they opened in thIland, but since they both times refused to let me have a bottle of water instead of soft drinks when ordering a set menu, I have given them a miss ever since. -
90 Day Report Gone Crazy
Xonax replied to Brick Top's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I did my 90 days notice online yesterday. I had to disable my Kaspersky antivirus first though, as it wouldn't allow me access, since the websites security certificate was expired.
