TCC Urges Government to Consider Reduced Land Tax Collection
Xonax replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
"TCC Chairman Sanan Angubolkul suggested that the administration only collect 10% of the total land tax owed for the period of 2020 to March 2022" How would that be assisting the public, rather than assisting the rich elite like TCC Chairman Sanan Angubolkul?- 1 reply

Incorrect information. The actual percentage of people in Thailand, who have received 2 doses is 72.1%, which is definitely not bad.

Say goodbye to Big Carl as Carl’s Jr leaves Thailand by the end of March
Xonax replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I tried Carls Jr. a few times right after they opened in thIland, but since they both times refused to let me have a bottle of water instead of soft drinks when ordering a set menu, I have given them a miss ever since. -

Xonax replied to Brick Top's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I did my 90 days notice online yesterday. I had to disable my Kaspersky antivirus first though, as it wouldn't allow me access, since the websites security certificate was expired. -

Government Seeks Additional Loan to Cap Diesel Price

The tax payers wil have to pay the bill any way. But by taking a loan, there will possibly be brown envelopes distributed to the involved politicians? -
The delivery rider was driving way too fast and overtaking in the middle of a zebra-crossing, so he is clearly at fault. The delivery rider should be expected to be properly insured by his employer or, if self-employed, by own insurance? Not at least when driving around without using his brain. Sadly I almost daily experience motorbike riders overtaking me on the right side, when I clearly signal to make a right turn from the main road into my village.

Bangkok to Designate Special Lanes for Motorcycles
Xonax replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
Something needs to be done about the problem. During the last two years 1 Million motorcycles have been added to the roads in Bangkok and the main part of those are delivery drivers all driving like there is no tomorrow, just to make an extra couple of Baht per day. I regularily drive my motorbike in Bangkok, but the last two years it has become way more dangerous, as the delivery drivers are now swarming around you on all sides, searching for the tiniest small opening to push their bikes ahead in traffic. I would very much like to see statistic figures, showing exactly how many accidents delivery drivers are involved in. -
Maybe the attack could possibly even have been prevented, if the poor guys had used their money to buy health insurance instead of beer? If you select to be self insured, others are not supposed to pay the bills!

Thai officials nab final suspect in tiger killing, doubt their claims

If they just killed the tigers to protect their cattle, why had the hides been meticulously skinned like prepared for sale?
