  1. The way I see it my friend, if you can drive through bkk (on your scooter) you can drive anywhere.

I would give it a shot on your scooter first and see how you feel. Give it a couple of weeks or even a month before you decide on forking out money on a bigger motor.

We stayed in bkk for around 3 months in Ramkhamheang area and my wife worked in China town, I found the courage to start picking her up on our Scoopy I.

    I loved it.:D

  2. The ping pong balls are rediculous but it's essentially a tip. They cash them in.

The pretty lasses in front work for modelling agencies.

I see. So you buy the balls, chuck them at the lasses, and they get money for each ball they catch? Real classPosted Image

I'd rather buy them a drink. That's the only thing I Dont like about the go go bars.

  3. Hi farangme,

There is a vet on route 22 towards Sakon Nakhon. If you know where Thomas resort is, its a mile or so past that, heading towards Sakon on your left hand side.

A total of 10 minutes from the Big C.

  4. Where do I start?

I would like to import my dogs into the UK.

Has anyone been through this process and would I need to go to bkk to take care of it?

    What costs are involved?

Is there a specific airline which treat animals better?

    Thanks in advance.

  5. Thats because you were looking in the wrong places.

I've lived in Udon 5 years and like many here dont frequent the bars. For every drunk you see (probably visiting from Phuket) there are probably 100 like me ,family man, retired and content with life.

Dont judge us all by what you see in the likes of Day & Night or Nutty Park as most local expats dont drink at these places and they are after all in every city and are generally in the minority.

    Exactly this.

I can't believe people are slagging it off when all they go on about is the row of bars in "day n night".

I spent 3 weeks there not so long ago and had a great time in the thai bars. Really good atmosphere.

  6. We live about 24kms outside of Sakon, we use the true dongle for our laptop, around 850 baht per month unlimited. We get 3G but the more we use it the more the speed seems to slow down.

    Weird.

  7. So, OP, - what did you do today, to make this world a better place?  Besides posting this video....Feed any hungry, cloth any cold.

Perhaps start by going to your local electric company, and paying the bill anonymously for a few poor people who have had their electricity cut off over the matter of a few hundred baht - so that never again will children die in a fire started with a candle, that they were using to do their homework, because their electricity was cut off over failure to pay a few hundred baht.

    You sound like fun.
