Beer, food and clothes have pretty much stayed the same IMO. I remember paying 70 baht for a bottle of beer down walking street 10 years ago. 45 baht for spicy chicken n rice. The exchange rate has gone crap though.
Where is this enclave in Thailand where prices have stayed the same? What time warp have you dropped into? Food is double the price, or even more, that it was 10 years ago, beer is up by almost the same amount, etc. etc. What wonderland have you found?
You need to stay out of them Irish bars mate.

Its common sense not to be shirtless in a mall or a restaurant. I'm not arsed if a fat or tattooed fella has his top off in a street in bkk. People wear vest tops that can be drenched in sweat, who cares.

The weirdest thing for me is sandals without socks! While famous designers show their new sandal-with-socks collections many crazy guys didn't watch it on their cabel TV! And they still continue to dress sandals without socks... HATE IT!
Dear me....
Listen fella, I wear safety shoes all day in my workplace, I like to feel the fresh air surround my feet whilst in a hot climate.

They show off their tatoos. Why people want to abuse their bodies by having them painted under the skin with this miserable ink is beyond me.They look like witch doctors from a canablistic tribe. Keep you T-shirts on to hide your tattoos, people. It is fashionable not to have them now.
Its fashionable not to have tattoos?
Says who?

I am curious if they are allowed into say Siam Paragon or tourist hot spots like the leaning Buddha temple.
Recently, I have only seen them on Sukumvit around Asok/Nana.
I seem to remember seeing some around Kao San Road (not been there in about 6 years) during the day and thinking it was strange back then.
Imagine you were next to a sweaty one on the skytrain at peak times. That sweat will be absorbed somewhere.
You honestly don't know whether they'd be allowed in a temple or a mall for that matter.......C'mon fella.

Typical, people just hate to see other people do well for themselves. Pure out 'n out jealousy.

People that are making shortcuts in life, should be forced to stand up for their actions. This my own belief... I hate this kind of people and i wouldn´t wait a single minute to report these ones either..
Glegolo
Maybe your just jealous that people have the balls to do it.

Personally I don't like to see it,it's pretty degrading, but having said that, plenty of Thais walk around the villages with no shirt on!
Bit different to the streets of bkk in all fairness.

Thats good to know , at least I can sleep peacefully knowing Im not going to be surrounded by dead bodies in the morning.
I find just stepping over them helps.

The guys name is Thomas, he has said via email he will accept our 2 small dogs. 800bht per night or 16000bht per month.
On route 22 coming from Sakon Nakhon just before hitting Udon city.

Being allowed to drive on left turn when the traffic light is on red .
I keep forgetting about this when I go back the UK.

Looking for a room for one month in Udon with 2 small dogs, I will be trying the number what was posted on the first page but that post was a long time ago.

Gotta love the way this thread has gone.

Just don't visit this site as often. Problem solved. If someone you meet moans and moans, walk away or tell them you love it.

I've been on a bike tour around bkk, thought it was great. The company was ran from China town and is always busy, mostly Dutch folk.

Madness.
I don't think it will be a problem for the farang to adapt, I can just see the wife driving on the wrong side of the road, music blasting more worried about how she looks.
Time to up the life insurance me thinks.
