  1. Ah well, everyone's a winner then.

I'm sure if you're eating it or it's not sealed then all the moaners will have a leg to stand on but if it is sealed like the ones you buy in the supermarket in the little polystyrene trays in a plastic bag I'm sure would'nt smell so bad.

No, still smells so should still be disallowed.

  3. Well I found out the hard way, driving under the toll road wit the car heading towards Nana plaza = 500 baht fine.

Even though I'm a pretty confident driver and my wife being quite a bad co driver I'm a little unsure now.

If I can use the public transport I will but it's just nice to get on your own vehicle and go when you want. I've started using the scooter around the Lad Prao/Ramkamheang are and it's been ok so far but again, I'm still a little worried I'll take that wrong turn and get fined or find myself on the toll.smile.png

What roads do you reccommend to stay away from or any roads you know of that you shouldn't be on.

  4. If you are allowed on the flight you can enter by air again for another 30 days visa exempt entry - you can make land entry two times for 15 days each or you can obtain a tourist visa for a 60 day entry with overnight stay in Laos or other country and application at Thai Consulate. Is the Thai national here? Do they have marriage certificate/ID card/home register to allow a 60 day extension?

    Thanks mate.

The wifey is in Thailand but away from our home were the marrige certificate is.

Think I'll do the land entry thing, just wasn't sure I could do it twice.

  5. Tuscany ave, Apartments.

Behind the Tesco Lotus on Phahon Yothin rd near central plaza, reccommend taking a motorbike taxi to get to it,

A 10,000 baht fee was agreed over the phone for a corner room between my wife and the apartment. We both showed up to view it then came the hidden costs. Make of that what you will.

    They do accept dogs.

  6. Hi guys,

My wife and I have been searching high and low for somewhere in BKK to stay for 3 months with our 2 dogs.

I can't believe how many places advertise 'pets ok' on some booking sites only to find out through contacting them direct that they don't accept any pets.

There was one place on Kanchanapisek road through a contact on here which I must say, a very nice family but it just wasn't for us. The price was very fair, around 10k per month.

So after driving everywhere we have found Bangkok Garden Resort, 351 soi Intraporn, Wangthonglang, Bangkok, 10310. Tel no. 025394762.

We are paying 17k per month and the nice young lady even lets our dogs hang out with her in reception whilst we are out. I must stress though that we didn't call we just turned up and she accepted. The price is still a little high but there is not many options out there.

  7. It's only about brains.

One who comes here should know that you don't have to be here to make money, unless you're an expat working for a multinational.

This is a low wage country, where you're not allowed to perform most of the jobs so forget about that.Use your brains.

Don't count about the 1% who started a successful bar or other business.

So one who has brains, should be able to make a financial planning and calculate how much he would need to survive for the time he want to stay here.

Someone with his braincells in the right place, that means not between his legs, should also be able to easily see through the real intentions of their Nana,Cowboy, walking street partners.

Again someone with half a brain should see it coming when things turn sour and make his return to his homecountry, or find another solution to improve his situation before he has to bite his last satang in 2 pieces.

You see it's only about brains

    clap2.giftotally agree.

people fail here becaue they take risks and make decisions they would never do at home.

losing everything because u signed it all away to a barGirl is probably the stupidest thing u can do out here. laughable really,

    Laughable elsewhere then????
