  1. Fortunately this kind of assault on foreigners is still relatively rare here, however this publicity will not be good for Thailand if the authorities are unable to suppress it. It's never a good idea to get in a physical altercation with a Thai unless you're in a Muay Thai ring. If you win and kick his butt you've lost, if you get your butt kicked you've lost. There's just no upside. Most of the time puncture wounds to the neck result in death, so both the assailant and the victim we're very fortunate.
  2. Some doing, some don't, but according to some in your party most of them drink the blood of babies, and for some reason, that only happens in the basements of pizza parlors. Which is really weird because I don't even know of many pizza parlors that have basements.
  3. That is absolutely untrue, there is no amount of denial that will hide the fact that this man is really, truly, objectively speaking, melting down before our eyes. He was totally unprepared for Biden stepping aside and he has simply not been able to adjust, he doesn't have the creative juice, the intelligence, or the ability to adapt, at his very old age. And I'm not I am not implying that 78 is very old, I'm just saying he's a very old version of 78.
  4. Do not even attempt to represent your version of reality, by calling liberals unpatriotic. The secondary aspect of this is that most conservatives do not even differentiate between a moderate democrat and a liberal anymore. At this point, many are so indoctrinated, now we are all socialist or communist, not to mention the fact that we all drink the blood of babies in the basement of pizza parlors and we don't like kids!
  5. Well, I still enjoy being a straight white man, even though it seems to be out of fashion now.
  6. He is in the beginning stages of severe cognitive decline and it's a horrific thing to watch, he's an increasingly dangerous man and having him as the oldest elected president in history would not be a good thing. He rambles on and on, and it is easy to discern that he has a very hard time maintaining a thought for more than 15 seconds. He is, and has always been the master of slogans, and memes, but the public is just getting tired of the same game, day in and day out. He does not possess the creative juice to adapt, and that is absolutely killing his campaign, at this point. He is headed for the greatest humiliation of his lifetime. He's old, he's tired, he's now the oldest person to ever run for president, he's feels like he's 85 or 90 right now, he seems to be losing interest, he seems to be losing the plot, his message is getting tired, he has no ability to dance on his feet and be creative, and adapt, and he just seems to be disintegrating before our eyes, which is a beautiful thing to watch. And now, he seems to regret his choice of Vance, and seems very stressed out over Harris. Can't blame him for that. He does seem to be imploding.
  7. She was not the only one who disrespected Trump. He was universally despised and few foreign leaders had any regard for him, for a multitude of reasons, other than Putin, Kim and MBS, as he supported their dictatorships. And they likely disrespected him too, but appreciated his support. Just another reason why Trump is a very dangerous man, and should not be re-elected. Among the top ten reasons.
  8. And OLOA (open legs, open arms) visa policy is not helping anyone, except the Chinese and the Russian scammers, gangsters and businesses. They havekkely extended an open invitation to the Triads and the Bratva. Thailand should have known better. They would have known better if they had some talent and qualified people in the government, who actually got their positions based on merit. Neither of those two groups have good intentions. Both are dangerous and predatory.
  9. Perhaps ex-pats should be given a bit more credit, in this formula? We do bring in alot of stable income. Even the rural folks benefit. Alot of the nicer houses in the poorer farming areas were built with money from expats. Alot of trucks, cars and income is from expats. Countless business employing many. To say it is insignificant, is a blatant misunderstanding of Thai economics. Thousands of hotels, restaurants, countless airlines and many tour companies, also benefit. By comparison, an average ex-pat spends how much per month? I would say alot of us spend 50,000 to upwards of 100,000 baht a month. I know I do. No value in that? I know some live on less. However, since the average GDP of the nation is around $570, that means about 20,000 baht a month? I think xenophobia is utterly rampant, in all segments of the government here, from the feds right on down to the local amphur. However, I do not think most Thai people are that way. I think most either like us, or are indifferent to us. Which I can handle. I think ex-pats should be treated with the kind of respect and acknowledgement we deserve. We have decided to change our policies, and we now realize how much you guys bring to the table. An immigration officer will now come to your home to renew your visa, to show our appreciation, of your continued support. You will only be required to sign one form, and we will give you a five year, multiple entry visa. Free of charge. And we will include a 10,000 baht voucher, good for any hotel in the country, for one year. Princely treatment. Thank you so much for helping to rescue our economy and our people. We appreciate it, and aim to show it for a change! We are past the era of thugs like the big joke running immigration. And we apologize for all of the past abuse and lack of respect.
  10. True is excellent here. I get a strong, very fast 5G signal nearly everywhere I go. Sometimes well over 100 mbps. And it is reasonable, in the US it is rarely over 20 mbps, and costs four times as much.
  11. Surprising, since Thais have adapted a brand of Buddhism which incorporates several aspects of Hinduism. The Hindu sages taught that is transcarnation is very rare. People rarely reincarnate as animals, according to Hindu scripture. Very odd, regardless. Wild and uncontrollable dogs need to be out down. End of story.
  12. Trump is utterly desperate now. He feels the victory slipping away. He cannot adapt. He thinks (or wishes) he is still running against Biden. Now, he is the old feeble man in the race. He will say or do anything. A total desperado. Fun to watch him melting down.
  13. I am selling certificates of innocence and certificates of sainthood, if anyone is interested please PM me. They're only 1,500 Baht each. They come from the Integrity Institute, so they carry a lot of weight.
  14. I think there's no question the Musk is a brilliant man, but he does not seem to be a particularly great businessman, and he reminds me of someone else in that his statements always seem to be the equivalent of shooting himself in the foot. His outbursts about sponsors and advertising on X was the height of stupidity, hubris, arrogance and ignorance. And it definitely seems to be coming back and biting him on the butt. Not that you're looking for advice Elon, but I would suggest in the future that you don't antagonize, insult and piss off the people that support you monetarily.
  15. It's always nice to hear somebody from that side of the spectrum speaking out against another extremist, there's no question about how toxic these religious leaders are, I don't consider them to be spiritual on any level, and they simply seem to just be using religion as a tool to fool the most vulnerable amongst them.
  16. He appears to be 78 going on 88, his mediocre intellect seems to be declining rapidly, he seems to be at the early stages of severe cognitive decline, and semi-senility, at best. Plus Biden's withdrawal seems to have increased his level of insanity and rambling incoherence.
  17. Totally wrong, I live in Thailand. I spend most of my year here. I do visit California often and I do travel quite a bit, but I'm here most of the time. Also if you bother to read my posts you would notice that my complaints are almost always about the government and the way the country is run, and very rarely about the people who I am very fond of, and I have a lot of affection and respect for. I'm here right now as as we are exchanging these thoughtless, slanderous and meaningless messages.
  18. That would be a lovely thing to witness, however have you ever noticed that the very same people who threaten to leave their country are the ones that never do? They just don't have the courage. He wouldn't even have the courage to visit Venezuela much less live there.
  19. Yeah, I get offered about $100 million dollars a month, it's incredible how generous some people can be. Every once in awhile I just play along just to see what the scam will be.
  20. Thanks, I appreciate the kindness and support. Having thick skin is a sign of high self esteem and knowing who you are, where you belong and how you fit into this world. Thin skin is so unattractive. It is such a sign of weakness and the constant social media criticism, name slinging, and use of derogatory terms towards the people who believe differently that you do, is weak. While I often criticize Trump and his policies a very rarely ever criticize his supporters, that allows it to get personal and ugly. Get over yourselves. Grow some thicker skin.
  21. If there ever was a PM who started with zero credibility we are witnessing this now. Just her association with her father, who sold out his soul, his party, and his people for his freedom, is enough to cancel out any possibility of integrity and good leadership. The people will not tolerate these goons much longer. My theory is that the army brass already knows this, and are now forming an escape plan. Hopefully into exile, but far better, into prison. They can fight a few tens of thousands. They cannot possibly beat many millions. And that is what we will see when this army created debacle is over with. They are utterly desperate to hang onto power, and access to the trillions of baht that likely generates for them. Using the LM and sedition laws shows how utterly intolerant of criticism these very small, very weak men are, that they need to hide behind and utilize these laws, to attempt crush the will of the people. The time is coming, when this will no longer be tolerated. Just wait. The army is on it's way out. It could take awhile, and it could get ugly, though it will never get to the hellish level of Burma, as the Thai parents would never, ever permit that kind of genocidal behavior from their sons. You take out one more Thai, and you are forever disowned by this family. That is all it would take to bring about mass defections from the army ranks. That would sure be fun to witness. Are the pompous generals going to put themselves into harms way? Never. They do not have it in them, they are cowards.
  22. You are far better off not replying at all to @maesariangHe does not apply any intellectual power to his replies and posts. And he is an idealogue, who hurls insults, rather than thoughtful replies. Also, he cannot handle any criticism of Trump, so all you get is a knee-jerk reaction. He is the new @susanlea This forum deserves better.
  23. Trump has taken his place as the very old guy. The oldest active candidate in history now. And mentally he seems 88, not 78.
  24. Except women. They have more dignity, and hate it when other women are consistently disrespected, and since Trump and Vance seem to have little respect for women, they consistently insult them. That is a big mistake.
  25. Those of us with driving skill, and a strong desire for not only survival, but the avoidance of terrible injury, are constantly scanning the road, in front of us, beside us, and behind us. There are an exceptionally high number of reckless fools on these roads, and it is the only way to preserve our lives, and those of our families, and friends, who may be driving with us, and depending on us. And no, Buddha, God, nor any other supernatural force will not protect you, if you are not protecting yourself. I don't think many Thais ever ponder thoughts like this. Why, I can't imagine. It is likely something we will never understand about their nature. I often like to say the best way to understand these differences in attitude and intellect, is to realize Thailand is NOT a foreign country. It is a distant planet. The police are not here to protect you. They do not care one iota about your well being, your safety, or traffic safety. Expect that. Do not employ them, unless absolutely necessary. If driving a motorbike, treat the activity as an act of war, in a sense that you may be mowed down or killed at any moment. Maintain eyes in the back of your head. Watch everyone. Expect craziness, insanity, lack of reason, and a complete lack of courtesy and respect on the roads, at all times. Expect cars and trucks to be coming at you in the wrong lane. Expect people to overtake you with the slimmest of margins.
