  1. Yes. Definitely. Especially considering that alot of those products are made by American companies. Dumb policy. Tariffs and import taxes only raise costs on products. Trump started this inflationary cycle with his dumb policies, sanctions, and taxes last time around. Let's not let it happen again. The man is dangerous.
  2. Trump is in big trouble. He simply cannot raise comparable amounts of money. His top donors have fled. They don't see the necessary pivot. They see a crazed man, who cannot stay on message, and who thinks Biden is still running. It scares them.
  3. It boggles the mind, to consider the number of people who fall for these scams. Someone calls you, or contacts you online, and you send them money? Someone you have never met? Someone you have not researched? What gives? Where are the survival instincts? There is a whole subculture in this world, who absolutely refuse to work for a living, and instead like to prey on those who are vulnerable, naive, dumb, and easy victims. It is our responsibility to be careful, prudent, willing to do some vetting, some research, some due diligence, anytime we part with cash.
  4. When dogs repeatedly bite people, they should be put down. Plain and simple. If the owner refuses to control them and keep them on leashes, they are a hazard and a danger. Dogs that cannot be controlled should never be put above the safety of people. Period. Take them out.
  5. I agree. But, it will happen. It always does. The real estate market has been cyclical for at least 100 years. Every 15 years or so it drops. This one will be far more severe than in 2007-2010. Many good reasons for that. In the US, mortgage applications have fallen by 28% from their peak, new home sales are down by 17% and housing starts have dropped by 13%, said Neil Shearing, chief economist at Capital Economics in a new research note. A similar story is playing out in the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Sweden.
  6. Harris/Walz. But, as you say the nation is on a slow, steady decline. Has been for a few decades now. So, it barely matters. However, I think Trump would be more destructive, overall. He is poorly equipped for the job, and the real irony of his whole persona, is that he cannot negotiate his way out of a paper bag, much less negotiate a treaty with an adversary, which makes him very dangerous.
  7. Despise, detest, severely disrespect. Those feelings come to mind.
  8. Due to the fact that you put so little time, effort and intellect into your replies, I am going to stop replying to you, as I did with @susanleaYou both win the prize for the most thoughtless replies on this forum.
  9. If you're not aware of the economy being overheated, if you're not aware of high stock market levels being due to massive corporate staff cuts, stock buy backs, temporary enthusiasm over AI, and another half dozen reasons, if you're not aware of how over inflated the real estate market is, there's really nothing that I can do or say to explain it to you.
  10. Wow. You have a very serious case of HDS. Some therapy might help.
  11. Trump supporters tend to very conveniently forget the facts and the truth quite often. Trump rejected a bipartisan border bill twice while he was still president, so who is really to blame here?
  12. Here's another example of how Trump is shooting himself in the foot daily. I think sometimes if he just stayed home he would have a better chance of winning this election, but every time he opens his mouth he seems to cause self harm. Granted, some women may simply prefer a woman as President. But, this is a very good example that his continued attacks on Harris's appearance seems to be really putting off women voters. They outnumber male voters, so beware when you insult them, Don. As you may forget from time to time, as senility sets in, you are a candidate. Take a look at the numbers.
  13. This kind of thing should be taken very seriously, and the punishment for these sorts of crimes, when exposed, should be severe. It's nothing short of brutality, and it shows a tremendous level of moral decay within society. I'm not specifically pointing toward Thailand, as this likely happens all over the world, but these students need to be punished severely, their parents need to suffer consequences, and the kids should likely be jailed for a significant period of time, which would have a radical effect on their lives, and would serve as a deterrent for other thug students.
  14. The real joke here is Prawit himself, and the joke on the nation is the fact that this man, this goon, this incompetent has been able to rise to the level of power that he presently has. That is a very sad joke. They're likely millions upon millions of people who would like nothing more than to see this absolute creep locked up for many many years, but the sad truth is that we all know that he's above the law. The top army officers answer to nobody here, and this goon is above any and all laws. However the one good thing that comes out of this is that this incident really illustrates exactly who this man is, and exactly what this man is. Which is a corrupt, heinous, toxic, useless and overly entitled general who has been bossing around kids his whole life, and is completely intolerant of questions, criticism or anything but absolute fealty and obedience.
  15. That's a very good question and you may have raised a very good point. They likely have no idea what it is that is taking place, but let us hope that even if they find out it will still take place. I'm not necessarily a supporter of such an event. I don't really care. But I am a supporter of freedom and choice.
  16. Okay so let's talk about facts, which one of those qualities and traits that I mentioned do you dispute? I've never attempted to hide the fact that I dislike Trump, that I have a tremendous amount of disrespect for the man, and that I think he's a terrible leader. However that has little impact on what I said.
  17. I also think it would be possible and it would be beneficial to have immediate fact checking happening live during the debate, they could have a little panel on the side that explains why something a participant said was either a lie, a distortion, an exaggeration or the truth. For so many Americans who do not bother to educate themselves on the issues, nor the truth, this could have a dramatic effect on the outcome of a debate.
  18. I know many of us would like to see the baht drop to about 50 to 1 dollar. For me that feels like what it's worth, when you take into account the drop in exports, the sharp drop in new and used car sales, the drop in the real estate sector, and the drop in foreign investments. Thailand is facing a rocky road ahead, and it's about time the value of the baht reflected that.
  19. Well if there's one thing we know for sure, it's that he will not be facing jail time. It's very possible he could commit murder and not face jail time. When was the last time we've seen an army general jailed for anything? They are above the law, any and all laws. They are absolutely untouchable, and that has to change, and that has to change soon. The Thai Army is the closest thing that Thailand has to a to an absolute vacuum, that just sucks the resources from the nation, and gives almost nothing back in return.
  20. I really have no idea, but I am counting the remainder of my life in months, not years, as it gives me some perspective. Certainly more perspective than years. If someone asks me how much longer do you think you have, I say well I'll be very grateful if I have another 250 months. Thinking like that allows me to really get a sense of just how short time is, and just how valuable time is, and it really provides a sense of urgency, and the realization that my remaining time cannot be wasted. On the topic of Sundays, I've always loved Sundays, when I used to work it always represented a day off, and now that I'm semi-retired it still represents a day when I can justify doing next to nothing, which is quite a joy. Sundays are gorgeous days!
  21. It's not an easy thing to predict, however one thing is for sure the economy is headed for a massive correction. Not just crypto but the stock market and the real estate market too. Most commodities will drop in value, how far they will drop is anyone's guess. If I had to guess I would say around $20,000 for Bitcoin and I could see the Dow dropping to 5,000. I think real estate prices will come down by at least 50% worldwide, over the next few years. Gone are the days of long term investments. Everyone I know who is making money, is getting in and out and back in, at the right time. Static investing does not work anymore in this unstable economic environment. That will be especially so in the months and years ahead, where we are inevitably going to see massive turmoil, market swings and hyper inflation. It's a very, very good time to be cash heavy, there are going to be major opportunities in the next few years, now is not a good time to be buying.
  22. I think most of us agree that it would be a very risky loan, and if he were to decide to move forward it would have to be money that he could afford to lose. The other thing I would do in his situation is asked for collateral that is well in excess of the amount of the loan, she signs over a couple motorbikes to him, or gives him a few baht of gold, or something that he could easily cash out should she default. The terms should be very clearly spelled out beforehand, with a document that she signs. So he makes it a business like decision and not just a casual loan to a friend.
  23. Where does One start? He makes Nixon look trustworthy and George W. Bush look smart, and articulate with the appearance of an elegant statesman. In fact, if Frankenstein decided to make a monster assembled entirely from human flaws - he would make a Trump. And a remorseful Doctor Frankenstein would clutch out big clumpfuls of hair and scream in anguish: 'My God… what… have… I… created? Just some qualities and traits that come to mind. Unappealing, unattractive, idiotic, incompetent, hateful, hurtful, abrasive, rude, blowhard, liar, cheater, thief, infantile, failure, loser, fraud, sexual abuser, incestuous, tax cheat, insurrectionist, un-American, dictator-loving dictator wannabe, out of control, sociopathic, convicted felon, ignorant toxic narcissist & brutish A-hole. Everything about the con-man referred to as Trump is unlikeable. He's everything wrong with the human animal, all stuffed into one specimen.
  24. So is this guy an advisor to the police or is he a commissioner? It states both in the article. I would imagine if he is a commissioner he has a lot to answer for. This has got to be a real embarrassment for the RTP, and it takes a lot to embarrass them. The other question I have is who were the other people that were injured in the wild west style gunfight? Were they patrons of the bar? And then the last thing that comes to mind is one would hope that if a guy rises to the rank of commissioner that he would have the common sense to have a discussion with the sargeant, and work things out like a normal human beings, rather than pull out his gun and take the man's life like a raging homicidal maniac. The death penalty sounds appropriate.
