  1. These dinosaurs live a life filled with fear. Fear of change, fear of reform, fear of progress, fear of the unknown, fear of looking within. Who knows what they might find? Perhaps the source of their problems. And of course, fear of their wealth being threatened. They are absolute losers, and highly insecure people, who know very little about their inner selves, and have done very little in the way of spiritual work on themselves. And worst of all, they seem to care not one iota for the well being of their people. It must be difficult living with such a cold and lifeless heart of stone.
  2. A lot of the concern about climate change manifests itself in a fairly subtle fashion, as the ocean levels rise even slight storm swells become a much greater concern and very low lying cities like Bangkok are greatly affected by increasing floods. But many people just simply prefer to live a life of denial.
  3. Yeah, that's what a lot of people say and think. I am not responsible, I have not contributed to these problems, if they exist at all, and nothing that I do could possibly have an effect on some place as large as the earth or it's vast oceans. So stop picking on me and stop asking me to take responsibility, because I won't. Plastic is not harmful and I won't make any attempt to cut down on my use of it. Gas vehicles are not harmful and therefore I will make no attempt to drive one that consumes less gas, or to use a bicycle, or even a motorbike. I like gas guzzlers, so again I ask please leave me alone.
  4. It actually looks very clever on her part, she's getting farther and farther ahead in the polls, there's far more excitement about Harris and Walz, than there is Trump and Vance throughout the nation, she's already agreed to one debate and she's playing it safe. While that's not particularly courageous, it's likely very smart. She's letting Trump and Vance implode and letting both of them shoot themselves in the foot every time they open their mouths. And she's allowing the media to research all of Trump and Vance's lies, and allowing them to call both of them out. It is called a historic meltdown. Grover Cleveland is the only president who lost, then ran again and won. Trump will not experience the same level of success. And he will go down in history as being the only man who has lost the presidency twice. See ya, Don.
  5. No those above the law statements and innuendos only apply to Trump.
  6. It's just more evidence of his cognitive decline, and his senility, that he would mistake a 5'6" Willie Brown with a 6'3" Nate Holden. That is far more serious than not being able to recognize one black man from another.
  7. It is actually scientifically accurate.
  8. Great essay. When people think of civilisation, they typically think of increasing technological sophistication. That has always been a part of what anthropologists examine when they write about different civilisations. But they’ve always gone much beyond that to look at other attributes of society, most notably temperance and disposition to co-existence. One does not have to be an anthropologist or sociologist to notice that both are generally static or in decline worldwide. Today the echo-chamber is largely housed in social media, where groups reinforce each other’s grievances without rebuttal or critique. It has the effect of compromising rationality, even of otherwise rational people. It is in this regard that IPOB, Boko Haram and America’s white supremacists have much in common. Alas, they are not alone. Take a look at the carnage in Gaza, the result of an unending conflict between Jews and Palestinians, two people with much kinship. Somehow, Israel believes that its path to peace lies in expanding farther and farther into Palestinian territories and keeping the Palestinians caged in. Meanwhile, embittered Palestinians — embodied by Hamas — believe that firing relatively crude missiles into Israel is the way out. That is, despite knowing that the Israelis will bombard the congested territory, killing hundreds and leveling neighbourhoods. The potentially cataclysmic lag in the evolution of human emotions would seem to be a priority to researchers. Instead, some of the world’s brightest minds are labouring to make robots more human. A much more urgent quest would be to seek to make humans more humane. The idea is to cultivate those traits that supposedly distinguish us as humans so that we may transcend the animalistic instincts that have remained with us over several millennia of evolution. Specifically, that would entail cultivating positive traits such as empathy, honesty and a sense of justice while weeding out the negatives such as self-centeredness, anger and malice. It’s a matter of survival of society as we know it. https://punchng.com/civilisation-is-in-reverse/
  9. Correct. Dislike, a tremendous lack of respect, an ability to call out dishonor and bad behavior, and being able to see through the lying ways of a con man and charlatan.
  10. Ha! If there is one advantage of getting older, it is being able to think and reason with the larger head, rather than the one that does not know anything, other than passion and lust.
  11. But that's not the case. I think there is no doubt the population is getting dumber and dumber, and rather than advancing we are moving backwards as civilization.
  12. Well that's an interesting point, because I think that Biden was experiencing such severe decline, that Trump never really came into question. Now that Biden has exited stage left, Trump's cognitive decline, dementia and semi senility is really coming into focus, he really looks like a very, very old man at this point. The oldest to ever run now. No thanks. The nation needs someone sharper and less incoherent and rambling in his thoughts. And his moaning ang groaning and constant complaints are making him look weaker and weaker and very vulnerable. Harris seems to have his ticket. The poor guy is really flailing. His attacks on Harris’ race, recent obsession with rally crowd size and other off-the-cuff remarks hearken back to his first run in 2016. But this time he is not an unknown quantity capitalizing on anger and anti-establishment sentiment to surge past an unpopular opponent. In Montana on Friday, Trump’s only rally of the week, an event in support of Montana GOP Senate nominee Tim Sheehy featured Trump speaking for nearly two hours, largely about his personal grievances and views of the presidential race. Trump also used the Mar-a-Lago press conference to attack Harris' intelligence and brag about the audience at his rallies, falsely claiming that more people attended his Jan. 6, 2021, rally than Martin Luther King, Jr.’s famous “I Have A Dream” speech. https://www.cfpublic.org/2024-08-10/a-trump-campaign-built-to-battle-biden-is-forced-to-recalibrate-to-kamala-harris
  13. Trump nearly always seems to speak off script, and the result is a horrific exercise, signs of severe cognitive decline, incoherent oration, and a nightmare of jumbled thoughts. He would do well to avoid all improvisation.
  14. Be very, very careful. Consider the infamous Srettha/PT flip flop on thr ganga industry. Now, look at Cambodia. The Chinese left behind the massive amount of unfinished buildings and construction in places like Sihanoukville, when their local economy collapsed back home in China and gambling laws changed in Cambodia. Is there a lesson to be learned here? They left behind a horrendous blight. They create alot of problems with their insatiable greed. And they care not one iota for the environment, nor local employing local people Tens of thousands of Chinese citizens who moved to Cambodia to work in the gambling and hospitality industry have left the coastal city, leaving the economy in limbo and hundreds of high-rises unfinished across the city. In July, provincial authorities met with representatives of local investors and landlords who have leased to Chinese investment projects to discuss the crisis. According to Sihanoukville provincial authority, more than 1,000 buildings in Sihanoukville have been abandoned for more than two years. https://cambojanews.com/sihanoukville-property-owners-in-limbo-as-unfinished-high-rises-litter-the-city/
  15. Compared to Vance, Walz is a hero and an elegant man. Jesse Ventura calls out the man for criticizing a fellow vet. After all, he shot photos, not rifles. Yet you would think he was a war hero, with all his false bluster. Jesse Ventura calls JD Vance's criticism of Walz military record ‘despicable’ https://www.cnn.com/2024/08/09/politics/video/jd-vance-tim-walz-military-jesse-ventura-lcl-digvid Tell it exactly like it is Jesse.

  18. The wife stated that she had no idea what could have led to the murder but believed that the killer must be very angry at her husband, as there was no reason to cut off his penis. You think? Apparently this MIT grad thought it would lead the police to think it was about something else! He should have stuck to building rocket boosters.
  19. There are likely alot of criminals plying their trade here, having gotten very high quality training in both China and Russia, from both the Triads and the Bratva. When you drop all standards for entrance and visa policy, this is what you get, the bottom of the barrel and a significant criminal element. This voraciously greedy administration has only themselves to blame for embracing quantity over quality. It would appear that dullards, and simpletons are running the asylum.
  20. I have an idea. Organize these fights and charge admission. Make it a public spectacle. Any type of hand to hand combat is allowed. The caveat is they have to go at least two or three, two minute rounds. Major entertainment. Come and see the Tuk fights. Watch two maniacal boys, who look, and smell like men, but have only developed emotionally to the age of 13, go at each other, over the tiniest perceived slight! Make Phuket and Pattaya the hub of Tukfights. Fun, fun. Come one, and come all!
  21. I remember about 10 years ago, just after the Junta takeover, the hapless army went on and on about how they were going to clean things up, and get rid of all the taxi mafias and corruption. LOL. They came to Samui, made a big demonstration of their power, two weeks later everything was the same. If you asked to taxi driver to use a meter he would just laugh at you. That's the power (or impotence) and sincerity of the Thai Army.
  22. I think many of us have seen articles recently about Pattaya and Phuket being just absolutely overrun with tourists, and the areas not being able to cope. It's getting to be a bit like Paris or Rome, during the summer time. No thanks. Thrilled I don't live in either area.
  23. It is likely the people will again choose this new party as they want progress, they want the country to move forward, and they want reform. However there are some very toxic powers in Thailand, who don't want anything to change because the status quo means billions upon billions upon billions, and all that matters to them is money and power. Nothing else matters. The people do not matter one iota to these lowlifes.
  24. As usual the do-nothing PM, is making more hollow promises that will never be followed up. We will enforce the ban on burning. And it never gets enforced. No penalties, no nothing. We will do something about poorly maintained diesel vehicles. And nothing is ever done, because the cops are too lazy, and the highway patrol refuses to patrol the highway, and the special hotlines you set up, do not know anything about the program, or the laws. We care about the environment. Yeah right. Another bald faced lie. You care not, you see the air, you talk about the air, and the sea and the land, and you do nothing about the any of it. More empty words from the "do nothing men".
  25. It doesn't matter how much outrage there is, the decades have proven that the tuk tuk and taxi mafias are far more powerful than the police or the army. They operate above any and all laws.
