  1. Reminds me of a saying from Cory Booker. "Before you speak to me about your religion, first show it to me in how you treat other people; before you tell me how much you love your God, show me in how much you love all His children; before you preach to me of your passion for your faith, teach me about it through your compassion for your neighbors". So much false piety out there, both in America and in Thailand.
  2. This guy was totally derelict in his duties, no doubt about that. The charges seem extreme, but the idea of a really bad police chief being locked up in his own town is kind of a delight.
  3. That is quite a haul. Sounds like the Bratva is thriving here. Perhaps a death sentence would be appropriate? Or Thailand could possibly make an arrangement with China, to send guys like this for organ harvesting, or a few decades in forced labor camps? Seems like a win win.
  4. Since all politicians are liars perhaps we can consider it a form of training for a political office.
  5. Quite a haul. One gram. This will have quite an effect on the drug supply chain. Kudos to the RTP for stopping the flow of drugs. Ha!
  6. Two goombah nations. Two despot dictators. Much in common. Strapped economies, multi billionaire status, power hungry desperados, zero respect for their own people and humanity.
  7. When the police absolutely refuse to do an effective job, the locals are left with little choice but to take matters into their own hands. From my point of view I would love to see this happen more often. I think this might be the kind of deterrent that criminals need, to act like decent human beings.
  8. Thank you, a voice of reason in the wilderness of delusion. The reality is that alcohol is infinitely more toxic and infinitely more dangerous than ganja. Nobody should ever be penalized for using recreational ganja. Ever.
  9. Thailand continues to mourn. Of course this goons popularity is falling. He is a do nothing PM. For now, its future has been stolen once again by the army thieves and goons. The army is no doubt the enemy of the people, and so is the new stooge PM. The recent election shows that the people are both sick of being led by highly ignorant dinosaurs, with no interest in progress, and are interested in smart, young folks, who are serious, accomplished, capable of change, and interested in insuring that Thailand has a good future. Pita is exactly what this nation needs, at this point in time. However, he was too progressive, and the goons had to stop him, in the name of regression. After all, this is a man who interrupted his studies at MIT, during an MBA program at Sloan to rescue his father's rice bran oil business, Agrifood, after this fathers death. He was successful, and is paying down the 100 million baht his father borrowed to start the company. This is a serious man. Very unlike the failures before him. He then went back and finished his MBA, at one of the top business schools on the planet. He is an accomplished man, unlike the army goons, who are only good at bossing young men around. Nothing else. Nada. Zero. Nunca. Prices are up, inflation continues its march, and income for many Thais who are not successful entrepreneurs, or government workers, is down. Tourism is mostly bringing in low end visitors with little money to spend. The quality of tourists continues to drop, the average spend is down, and occupancy rates are low. In addition, exports are down, and we have not even seen a real recession hit yet overseas. Nor has the market correction come yet. So, there is still alot of headwind that Thailand faces. Srettha is the last man Thailand needs for a leader.
  10. I know so. Any Thai citizen beats an army officer any day. The army here is useless. And army control is beyond toxic, corrupt, and a huge negative for Thai society. They retard progress. They want everything to stay the same, so they can continue sucking the blood of society.
  11. Even a beautician with a fake resume is a far superior choice than a Thai Army crony with a heart of corruption.
  12. Perhaps it's possible that the old man just doesn't wield as much influence as he thought, and maybe the people actually count for something.
  13. The army are like a vacuum, draining the blood, and treasury of the nation. And what does the nation and it's people get in return? Nothing. They are useless.
  14. Defamation laws are greatly abused in Thailand, for the benefit of the cowards, the weaklings and the creeps.
  15. If he is a top dog in one of the military branches chances are he's super corrupt. So kudos to this the guy for calling him out and shame on Thailand for charging someone, charging anyone with defamation of any kind. It is a law designed by cowards and passed by cowards who are not real men. In no way, shape or form are they paying tribute to the gender these are tiny tiny boys.
  16. Why do you say that? Any personal experience with claims with them? Please tell.
  17. The suspects, identified by police as Mr. Tran Chinh Tin, 30, and Mr. Nguyen Anh Kiet, 32 need to spend some time in a penal colony, at a Siberian salt mine, or in prison, where they will find a warm reception from the other inmates. They are cowardly creeps.
  18. Some say she is hot. I never thought so. I always thought she looked angry, and unhappy. She makes up well, and dresses up well, but I do not think she has the dignity, wit, intelligence, charm, or gravitas to shine Jill Biden's shoes. Yes, Jill is older, if that is your definition of looking like a tranny.
  19. I would ask a more serious question. What happened to you, Bob? You post consistently bizarre stuff on this forum. Of course the Thai people have changed. The world has changed. Covid changed everything, and mankind did not react well to it. I cannot imagine how the world would react to something truly catastrophic. However, the Thai people are still quite lovely. They are still lighthearted and most are fun to be around. Many are still optimistic, cheerful and kind. I would rather be here, than just about anywhere else. Every day here is a good day for me and my lovely Thai gal. Alot of what we see in this world is filtered through our own hearts and minds, and pre-conceived notions. I would have a serious look at that, Bob.
  20. If a dog is attempting to attack me, I have no issue with inflicting great harm on the beast. None. I would not lose one wink of sleep over it. The spray is not likely to blind the dog, but the smell is a huge deterrent. Staying tall gets many people maimed for life. No thanks.
  21. At a minimum, the moderators should have called him out each time he told a lie. That would have been a game changer.
  22. I do not think it would make much difference, nor would he have a much better performance. He is old and feeble. Witness his wife coming up to help him off the stage. At least he has a wife who does not despise him. He is a very decent man, compared to his opponent, who told nothing but lies the entire debate, yet still looked more formidable. The dems need to replace Joe, and get rid of Harris. Nobody would want to see her one step away from the presidency.
  23. Nice. Thanks. Now, let's all blast the moron!
  24. Many many laws are made to be defied, should be defied, and ask to be defied. Sometimes one must be defiant.
  25. Both candidates are absolutely terrible choices. America is at a very sad point in it's history. Real bottom of the barrel choices.
