  1. It was a total ruse. There was zero effort to root out corruption. Nothing bordering on sincere. Guys like the biggest joke are PR machines, meant to deceive the most naive. They never went after anyone significant. If anything, this administration has deepened the rot and filth.
  2. The sidewalks in Thailand can be quite dangerous. There are alot of hazards. Just another example of the low regard given to public safety.
  3. Most people skilled enough to do free climbing, or free solo, know the risks. This is simply about the cowards at the parks department not wanting to deal with the risk of getting their reputations tarnished any further.
  4. Since the police have absolutely no credibility on any level here, she automatically is granted a higher level of believability. And if this has anything to do with e cigs, your honor, I rest my case. That has nothing to do with the public good, and everything to do with the lack of profit generated by the heinous government tobacco monopoly. And it is likely just a story the cops made up, anyway. They are utterly desperate, having been outed once again.
  5. Seems each time he is quoted, his ideas get further out there. Does anyone really care what he has to say? If what he is saying about the vaccines translates into "not enough Thais were given a chance to get the good vaccines", he might be right. But, even with the good ones, are any available within Thailand that are effective against the latest variants? And perhaps he could figure out a way to improve the food at the Pizza Company.
  6. We fully support human rights, but we don't support any of the rights of the youth to protest, to open micro breweries, and to brew good, tasty, exciting craft beer, taking the nation into the 21st century.
  7. If people only knew the true extent of the rot and corruption at the top, they might find some motivation to get these goons out of power. Cha Cha and his gang and family are likely robbing the people blind.
  8. What are the franchisees going to say, when caught red handed? Yes, we did it. Yes, we do it all the time? If course they will deny it. They deny everything. They are such innocents.
  9. The trust and confidence was damaged many years ago. These incidents are not of much meaning. Everybody knows the cops here are as crooked as they come. Just the fact that these guys will not face suspensions alone is enough to make everything very clear, to everyone. These guys are protected at the highest levels. Perhaps what Cha Cha really meant to say was: we know you work sidelines and we condone the corruption. Just don't get caught, or don't make deadlines. Please.
  10. Let us see how this plays out, before labeling this a doom scenario. Yes, alot of infected people will show up from China. But, the subsequent variants seem to be getting weaker and more feeble. So, maybe this virus is nearly played out. Maybe.
  11. Is there a such thing as reckless driving in space? Or do they somehow find patient, careful, responsible pilots for a mission like this? Somehow Thailand and space don't seem like a comfortable fit. Am I underestimating the science and technology here?
  12. This is truly outstanding. The RTP cannot get enough bad press, as far as I am concerned. To call them derelict in their duties would be too diplomatic. They barely practice any law enforcement, and work the franchise, as if their future fortunes depended upon it, which it seems to. The RTP at it's inception seems to have been created with a status quo from the government. We will NOT pay you a living wage, but you have a franchise, and the limit of your income is based solely on your own creativity and initiative, and you will always be protected. Is that not the case? The RTP is a blight on the face of the nation. Kudos to Charlene An, for calling out these corrupt creeps. Keep it up guys. Hopefully you will get what is coming to you. One can only dream.
  13. Absolutely spot on. Never forget he is the ONLY PM in Thai history to pass populist policies, that actually benefited the Thai common man. Universal health care was huge. It is likely Prayuth and his thoughtless cronies attempted to dismantle it, without success.
  14. None. One has to understand he lives in a ivory tower, has immense wealth (nobody knows how much after 8 years of grifting), and is surrounded by sycophants. So, when he is questioned, he simply cannot cope. He would be a far more effective dictator, than PM. That he admires dictators is amply demonstrated with his love of the Burmese despots and the serial killer MBS.
  15. The human body can be an incredibly resilient thing. White bread in general is very poor quality food. It has little to no nutritional value, or fiber. And it has very little taste, compared to whole rye or other delicious whole grain breads. I guess the question is, do you suffer from the health deficiencies normally associated with processed flour? Constipation. High blood sugar. Hypertension. Heart disease. Fatty liver issues. Any of those? If not, keep doing what you are doing.
  16. I am still in Thailand, and I love every day here. Just left Samui in the rear view. I miss the tropical weather, the maritime breezes and the beauty. But, not much else about Samui.
  17. I see this kind of utter foolishness and recklessness all the time, and wonder why more people don't get taken out. Darwin was right. Some are just not fit for this world, lacking the necessary survival skills. Risk is one thing, very dumb is another.
  18. Is this tantamount to a confession that in 8 years of power, the army is both helpless and indifferent?
  19. This rather thin skinned man is set off quite easily. He likely either has some serious self esteem issues, or hates his job. So, one would wonder, why does he want to continue? Is it just a pathological need to be considered powerful? When is enough, enough?
  20. There are countless naive folks who actually believe the biggest joke is real, and he is actually a crime fighter. What can one say? There are always some who buy the nonsense of a self aggrandizing huckster, and a police force in dramatic need to some good PR. Anyone else come to mind?
  21. Sorry to hear. Yes, when it is time for the grim reaper to visit not much we can do.
  22. I left Samui nearly a decade ago. I loved it for many years. It can be a beautiful island, if you get away from the blight of the Ring Road. But, the extreme lack of pride on the part of the officials, and many of the Thai locals, combined with the massive over development forced me out. Glad I left. I still visit often.
  23. They will buy as many votes as they can. And the entire process will be compromised and riddled with moral and ethical bankruptcy. That is just who and what Prayuth and the Royal Thai army are.
  24. In a Click, I feel every bump, and if I put a passenger in the back, it is highly unstable. Not my first choice, though an economical one.
  25. All of Samui, and the rest of the planet. The problem with the Thai authorities is they think Thailand exists within a vacuum. It doesn't. Not these days. This kind of news travels, and the entire planet regards the RTP as a sideshow, a circus, a group of clownish imposters with little skill or motivation, who rarely engage in law enforcement. They fool nobody.
