  1. Any dog who bites any human being in a serious manner should be put down within 24 hours, no questions asked, and no appeals possible. Dogs should never be given priority over humans and doing so is a sign of a broken society. Not only that but the owner should face a massive fine, there's just no excuse to have a poorly behaved dog who's aggressive toward others, especially defenseless children.
  2. There really are no tough negotiations with Trump as he's a terrible negotiator, and any one of his adversaries knows that all they have to do is compliment him and he completely caves in. His ego is so delicate and so fragile that's all any negotiator has to know.
  3. It is very common for bars to charge a markup on lady drinks and it is not considered improper to ask the cost of a lady drink prior to buying one, much less many. That was mistake number one. Once you realize the stupidity of your error you just simply suck it up, as there's no way to win an argument like this. I guess he learned that the stiletto way!
  4. Buy the highest quality mattress you can afford, it is a small investment that will bring such rich returns, and so many dividends. We bought a high-end latex mattress 15 years ago, and my gal and I have enjoyed it nearly every night since, it is like sleeping on a cloud.
  5. I didn't even bother to read the post, but I will say this about absolute goons like this man. In this day and age with social media being what it is, we have to be very good at smelling idiocy and sniffing nonsense, and we have to be able to just completely ignore those people that richly deserve to be ignored. Kanye who?
  6. And yet the young woman who is leading this country without any experience, and without any level of competency does not seem to care one iota. Nothing is being done to prevent burning at this point, it does not appear that there is any enforcement taking place, one can see that with one's own eyes and nose on a daily basis.
  7. Trump has made a terrible mistake by cutting off all foreign aid to these small charities that aid poor refugees. Chances are he does not lose one moment of sleep over the death and starvation of people too poor to feed themselves. The man has zero compassion, zero empathy, and I seriously question if he even possesses a soul.
  8. Under no circumstances should a person ever be put into the general prison population, much less any prison, for a visa overstay. This is overkill to a ridiculous and spectacularly silly extent. Hopefully it will continue to soil Thailand's reputation, they richly deserve it for a stunt like this.
  9. Who are these people, and what kind of a human being kills and stuffs somebody into a suitcase? Who were his parents, why did they fail so spectacularly, and at what point did he become so twisted?
  10. Not even close, he was not elected by the majority of Americans, he was elected by a minority and he supported by a minority. And he's infinitely less popular overseas.
  11. At the total misunderstanding of the situation, there might be a hundred foreigners in Thailand with the skill to do the precision work that sports therapy requires and there might be 100 Thais in the entire country, that have the education to do this kind of work. So, we're not talking about competing with anyone for normal massage jobs. How many masseuses are there in Thailand? 200,000?
  12. And all this from a man who claims he's going to trim the deficit, and yet he wants to invade Gaza and rebuild it so that's a half a trillion dollars, he wants to go to war with Panama and take over the canal, he wants to go to war with Denmark and take over Greenland, so what are we at 3 trillion in additional deficit money and counting.
  13. There is a degree of fealty that's required of his subjects and his supporters, and many of his supporters have lost all their objectivity to the point where discriminating between his policies, and supporting some and being against others just does not seem possible in that alternate universe. Georgi Dimitrov, one of the famed anti-fascist leaders of the 1930s, provided the beginnings of an answer: “What is the source of the influence of fascism over the masses? Fascism is able to attract the masses because it demagogically appeals to their most urgent needs and demands. Fascism not only inflames prejudices that are deeply ingrained in the masses, but also plays upon the better sentiments of the masses, on their sense of justice and sometimes even on their revolutionary traditions. Fascism aims at the most unbridled exploitation of the masses but it approaches them with the most artful anti-capitalist demagogy, taking advantage of the deep hatred of the working people against the plundering bourgeoisie, the banks, the trusts, and financial magnates.” Add to that the deep resentment that Trump supporters had toward law enforcement and the justice system, for going after their felonious master with such unbridled passion.
  14. Thailand desperately needs people like you with your level of skill and expertise, there are likely under 500 people employed in the massage industry in Thailand that are truly experienced when it comes to physiology sports medicine and the like. And they are nearly impossible to find. The mindlessness of the government here is fully on display when it comes to policy like this, where they are shooting themselves in the foot to an extraordinary extent.
  15. Absolutely incorrect, that is only filtered through your conservative eyes, the entire world dislikes Trump, very very few people around the world like him, very few nations around the world like him, the nations around the world are pretending that he's acceptable in order to not incur his infamous wrath, and petty vendetta. But nearly everybody outside the US knows he's substandard and they knows he's the wrong guy for the job.
  16. I like soi 24, I often stay in hotels on that soi and there is a lot surrounding it that's of interest. The only issue is the traffic, so I would stay there if you're going to use a motorbike or use motorbike taxis. I would only drive a car in and out of soi 24 after 11:00 p.m. and before 6:30 a.m. Or on Sunday.
  17. I made the incredibly wise decision not to have any kids, so I don't have to worry about that, and even if I did I would have no issue whatsoever with having gay children. I love most gay people, trans is another story.
  18. Paradise? The Maldives, maybe. Tikehau Island, French Polynesia. Can't decide whether you want white- or pink-sand beaches? ... Dreamland Beach, Bali. ... Menjangan Island, Bali Gili Islands, Lombok Raja Ampat, West Papua Busuanga Island, Philippines Seagrass Bay, Laucala Island, Fiji, Ypao Beach, Tumon, Guam Honopu Beach, Kauai, Hawaii Maipio Valley Beach, Big Island, Hawaii, Seven Mile Beach, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. ... Harbour Island, Bahamas. ... Blue Beach (La Chiva), Vieques, Puerto Rico. ... Trunk Bay, St. John, USVI. Devil’s Bay, Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands Parrot Cay, Turks and Caicos Lindquist Beach, St. Thomas Palm Beach, Aruba, San Blas, Panama, Oludeniz, Turkey Porto Katsiki, Lefkada, Greece And locally try Banana Beach, Koh Hey Island, Phuket Any mention of any beach on the Gulf Coast of Thailand, as a paradise is a stretch. The area between Pak Nam Pran and Ban Saphan Boi, is probably the best stretch of beach on the Gulf, in my opinion.
  19. Though I have nothing against outdoor camping, in general, lots of people sleeping on the beach is definitely not a good look for Pattaya, and if one does decide to sleep on the beach you should exercise great care when it comes to waste and litter. There should be a penalty to be paid for social misbehavior. Plenty of inexpensive hotels in Pattaya. In a sense the Thai government asked for this with their "Open Arms, Open Legs Visa policy", they knew that they would be inviting in the bottom of the barrel when it came to tourists. Such desperation to keep the tourism arrival numbers up.
  20. Great job, nice to know there are some Hemingway types on this forum. Keep it coming, we need more prose, we need more creativity, and you seem to bring a lot to the table. Thanks for that.
  21. When it goes so far that the governing body of competitive swimming in the US is supporting "trans women", who are biological MEN, and enabling them to compete with "real women", who have little chance of winning against a 6'4" man who has transitioned, with shoulders the size of a quarterback, it is beyond ridiculous. I am an open minded guy. I have had a number of gay and lesbian friends for a long time, and am generally supportive of alternative lifestyles. But, there has to be a limit. Somewhere, somehow. When you have women who have trained their whole lives to be able to compete in sporting events, and then have absolutely no chance to win against an oversized, highly developed man who identifies as a woman, and is allowed to compete against women, these women have lost everything, and there comes a time and a place when society has to say no, absolutely not! Things have spun way too far out of control. Just say no to the 00.2%!
  22. I am a Trump hater, I've hated him for 45 years since I lived in worked in New York and found out who and what he really was. However this is one area where I agree with this decision. And I am man enough to admit it.
  23. The world is absolutely reeling with his latest announcement. Everybody expected weirdness from this man, everybody expected that he would be irrational and unpredictable, but nobody expected this. If anything we expected less foreign policy adventures not more. He falsely promised not to get the US engaged in any new wars, and yet here he is looking to invade Panama, Greenland and Gaza. So far. What's next Canada, Mexico, and China? Oh, I forgot he would never have the guts for China. Xi scares him way too much and always beats him at everything he tries.
  24. Someone once told me that it was a specialty field that very few people wanted to go into, and therefore there was a substantial demand for these types of specialists. That might be at least a partial answer. Any kind of medical specialist has to deal with some pretty depressing stuff on a daily basis this is one area that certainly wouldn't appeal to me, but I suppose appeal is a relative thing.
  25. If a foreigner has any sort of specialty when it comes to massage, such as sports therapy or a understanding of anatomy it would be a huge plus for someone like this to be able to practice. There are very few time masseuses that have a true understanding of anatomy. Perhaps it's time for some meaningful reform of the laws?
