  1. yeah, I enjoyed that too .. I liked the ending, from what I remember.
  2. An old mate wrote a book on the movie, supposedly worth a look https://www.amazon.com/Making-Quentin-Tarantinos-Once-Hollywood/dp/B0F5NZ14WQ
  3. I just started watching this .. featuring Daisy Haggard from breeders.
  4. I used to love fishing in the UK, I ran a commercial fishery after I graduated, but I hated this show. Too much about his heart operation, it also makes me feel old. I remember them on Friday night TV when I was a kid.
  5. A new series of Landman just appeared - weekly episodes tho’
  6. I find there is always something new here that i never rewatch content, however, my sister is visiting atm, i suggested starting Black Rabbit which she can finish on return to the UK. There is so many clips in scenes that are relevant in future episodes, it’s well worth rewatching. saying that .. there is another series of ice cold murders: Rocco. . on more4 available on torrents. im going to start the asset asap .. I just noticed something I had my autoDL looking for - after 3 years of doing film festivals I’m looking forward to this https://detroittechnomovie.com god said give them drum machines - maybe not if anyone’s interest, idk, but it excites me. Still waiting for this Netflix takeover love/hate ..
  7. Ah man, it’s just lost in translation. He asked the concierge to bring him “four teen prostitues” Not fourty old bangers with their asses hanging out.
  8. I’m from M25 - I never have any issue understanding any regional accent on TV. I do find, after slowing down my speech to be understood by locals and other expats that sometimes i just turn off when i hear fast speech on some shows, maybe im a little tired, maybe I just stop the show and rewatch another day.
  9. One of the most amazing movies of my childhood, my parents took me to Chelmsford Odeon to see it. Good times. i will have to watch it again in 5.1.
  10. I just showed the wife, she renewed hers last week. Although she did the video session, they didn’t bother to ask to see the QR code. Whether this is all to do with the new renewal process, idk? perhaps the penny has dropped, someone at DLT has realized folks spend the video hour playing on their phones and when at home, just leave it running, returning to answer the questions - I consistently got one wrong because I didn’t read the question properly before and still passed.
  11. I just finished HBOs Task last night. An interesting mini series worth a look.
  12. I am confused. I need to renew my license and had been putting off the bs video hour for long enough. So this morning, I made a coffee and sat at the computer. I needed to register a new account, automatically assigning me the totally safe password of my birthdate, I entered my current DL and pressed proceed. Much to my surprise, is said 4/4 sections completed, I clicked a yellow button and it sent me to the QR code, telling me I completed the training on 25 June, which is exactly 6 months prior to the expiration date of my current license. I know I’m not dreaming, I didn’t watch the videos, exactly 6 months prior. Has anyone else got a free pass? I downloaded the file asap and I’m ready to roll.
  13. im a big proponent of not giving them more than is required, but i usually throw more pictures at them, generally they only want 2x sets of 3x images, one with the house number in view. However, this year we moved into our new house and we didnt have a picture of us standing in front of the whole house including the roof, the roof was important apparently.
  14. Having visited many places in MY over the past 25 years, I wouldn't say they were 400x The only island i visited was the Parenthians, it was overpriced, the level of accomodation was dire, the food total dog <deleted>e, the island was kind of rustic, there were no roads, just shuttle ferries, we walked to a village, it took us forever, and we ended up selling a kidney to get a fisherman’s boat to take us back to the hotel. Why do so many Malaysians visit Thailand every weekend, because the tourist industry in their country has neglected for 20 years, grubby hotels, towns with no restaurants, no nightlife, no appeal. Take a look at the west coast, even city dwellers don’t visit the dry, Islamic states. 400x as boring watching paint dry - double pricing and price gouging is also common in Malaysia.
  15. Loads of them on lazada - they are multilingual, all the processing is done on the cloud. I used to have an original mini, the sound was really good, but i eventually went with amazon and apple. I would research if your podcasts can play via google. I have a deezer account and its not as convenient as using amazon music (no surprise there), it’s not an issue as I mostly use the speaker to turn stuff on and off.
  16. They don't understand .. I made friends with the head of the department that does the repairs, when I have an issue that the hedge monkeys cant fix, I call him on his personal line. You would think he would be inquisitive, but no. They have no understanding of what we do, they don't care, and no interest to learn, it's just a job to get paid. The reason I'm "nterested" is because I used to be an infrastructure engineer, I used to watch the ccna guys come, that got me interested and the guys I worked with all had second hand gear that we picked up at work. I run a unifi system, they came to the house and asked "err .. where is the router?" I pointed at a half height cab and the tec just opened the glass door and just stood looking at the flashing lights, then made a phone call with a lot of "mai leu", then tried to plug his laptop into a random port on a patch panel trying to access the default router port for their routers. lol There is a guy in the ISP team who taught me a few things about connectability in torrent protocols once, he seemed interested.
  17. Sleep disturbance? They use this as a method of control, right? The lights are kept on all night. He had a chance to enforce the UN Standard Minimum Rules for the Treatment of Prisoners (the Mandela Rules) of Adequate sleep, Reasonable privacy And Protection from unnecessary noise or light when he was PM, but Thailand has always refused to adhere, waking prisoners every two hours for roll call. Now he complains of hairloss, poor thing.
  18. Pickings have been grim of late - summer season. I have been plodding through The sketch artist, a French-Canadian series, totally unrealistic, barely watchable. Atomic seems a bit far fetched I just started Task, a new one on HBO - looks good. I will give coldwater a look tonight. as Will mentioned, Black Rabbit appears this week, and a new series of Brassic at the end of the month.
  19. I value giddys comments - if he says it’s crap, then it usually is. I always ignore the comments and watch anyway.
  20. They got rid of that, now it’s just the colour blindness test and the reaction test. The last time I did my renewal online, there was a 5 minute section of the video where they cherry picked some interviews where people gave their opinion where they said renewing every 5 years was a good thing because it made people aware of any changes in the highway code, etc … total Bull. Then I watched the video (more like it was playing on my computer while i was watching YouTube on the iPad) I answered 3 questions periodically, and continually got one wrong because I didn’t read the question properly, and it was worded in a weird way. Then after an hour I got a QR code .. so how does that keep me updated about any changes in the highway code, how did it make me a better driver. The government said it needs all citizens to register and start paying taxes by 2029 - yet, they don’t work on simple issues like over staffing in governmental positions. At my DLT there are two women who run the reaction test, one takes your paperwork, the other woman holds the colour blind test cards. They have probably worked like that for 20 years, another 10 and they retire on a nice pension. Yet, the problem is kids can’t get round to getting a driving license.
  21. Every high school I worked in has not allowed students bikes on to the premises, they are all lined up outside. Typical Thai behavoir of refusing to address the issue. I also worked as a trainer in the oil industry here, where safety is drummed into you. The agency that sent me there informed me, if you turn up at the gate with no helmet, they will turn you away, no access for the day. This is the difference.
  22. It would be too much for the government department to reflect upon findings and adjust. Instead of refusing to accept that kids ride to school on motorbikes and are forced to leave them outside, add road safety into the curriculum for one semester instead of scouts. Get the kids to bring the bikes in and do a road test. Stop the pointless 2 year temporary license and 5 year renewal process - glancing at an online video and stamping on a brake pedal isn’t an indication of good road skills, it’s a pointless waste of time. Road safety is proven to be a combination of enforcement and education, not forcing people to do a pointless activity.
  23. I think you forgot Nandine Dorres from your list, the latest MP to convert to the cult of Farage, She really is thick as mince.
  24. I don't wish to get involved in whatever you are up to with the other poster - Just, if you are interested, initially we thought the connection was tied to a Mac address, but it seems not, others have been able to buy a ONT from shopee and drop it into a system - there is a pdf guide here on the site. I get 3bb to supply an ONT and then I use my own router, other members have purchased the Huawei ONT and used their routers after. There is a Thai fb group, something to do with 3BB in the title and there are posts that demonstrate setups successfully managed to directly connect the fibre connection to their routers, I think they use some kind of SFP ONT stick. There might be some dialogue with the ISP, but I find 3bb to be really helpful, there is a guy at my regional depot who is willing to help me, he speaks English well. But agreed, the ISP supplied router is perfectly fine for the OP. Replacing it won't change a thing.
  25. Sorry, I don't believe that your internet is throttled to a point where it affects a steaming service. In times gone by, yes, when the internet was in its infancy, some times there are issues with underwater cables that effects bandwidth, but not 3BB singling out use cases. More than likely some kind issue with your local infrastructure. if you ask ChatGPT, there is no credible evidence to prove traffic shaping, apart from threads in this forum. You can speak to 3BB isp team, and they will laugh at you, have you tried a traceroute? maybe traffic could be more direct, and 3bb can help with that.
