One trick a cardiologist told me years ago when I would get dizzy when first standing up is to rock your feet a few times before standing up. This means keeping your feet on the floor, raise your toes a few inches, then lower them. Then do the same with your heels. Cycle those a few times then stand. It actually helps.

No, blood pressure drops with age, all other things equivalent. However, if you have other conditions that raise blood pressure, that may cause the rise. General consensus is that it's better to have a slightly elevated heart rate in the elderly. Bad luck for me with mine dropping. As for consistency of rates, they vary tremendously throughout the day. Best to take yours at the same time daily. For the OP, are you drinking lots of fluids(non alcoholic)? Dehydration can be a cause of low BP.

I used to have to take 3 medicines to control my blood pressure. Now I'm down to none. As you age your heart becomes weaker and therefore provides less pressure, so of course you will require less pills. My drop from 3 medications to none was over 20 or more years. See a doctor for advice, but if your pressure is low all the time I'd bet the doctor would agree and will reduce dosages and maybe even stop some. Good luck.

Essentially a British version of Gilligan's Island, if you like that kind of stuff. I need to be drunk to watch it. -
Brit 'dumped' in Thailand after his flight home is cancelled

Sept 11th is the best day to travel. I've done many flights from North America to SE Asia on the 11th and the flights were relatively empty. Very easy to find 3 or 4 empty seats in a row to lay down on sleep. Wonderful... -

Sounds like the delusions that happen to people that do too much meth. I've seen a few in this state and it's not pretty. Listening at the door of their hotel room and hearing voices in the hall. I open the door and show them no one is there and they still don't believe it. -

The first 2 episodes of the second season of The Capture have dropped. I found season 1 to be exceptional. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8201186/ -
I have had similar occurrences. One was a white guy who started talking to me while we were sitting at a bar eating breakfast. All the same questions as i the OP. He was clearly looking for a newbie so he could feel like a god when he doled out his wisdom. He soon figured out I knew more about I knew more about what was going on than he did and left me alone. Interestingly enough, I rented a townhouse in the area and one of my neighbors wouldn't do anything without approval of the breakfast bar guy.

They have the capability. The voice request(and all other noise in the room) is passed from your alexa to Amazon servers where it is processed. They don't necessarily record it all but could. I worked for a telecom equipment provider way back when and occasionally had the need to visit telephone switches. The workers routinely listened to juicy conversations, without the involved parties being aware. The few I heard were interesting. First thing I do with any new device is disable the voice search capabilities.

You really want Amazon recording all your conversations? Same with google and apple when you use their voice search capabilities on their phones. Maybe they'd appreciate all the moaning and sex noise though.

You're responding for the second time to my 5 week old post? You know this isn't a race. You don't get a prize for the most posts. You average well over 30 posts a day. Get a life. Or maybe you're getting old and don't remember what you did an hour before. Oh, and if you looked back at my July post, you would see that I qouted your second post on the same video. If it's not in the quote, it's on you. -
https://edition.cnn.com/2022/08/22/health/brain-stimulation-memory-wellness/index.html Up for a little noninvasive brain stimulation to boost your aging memory for that next big project, work meeting or family get-together? One day science may be able to offer such treatments, new research suggests. Sending electrical currents into two parts of the brain known for storing and recalling information modestly boosted immediate recall of words in people over 65, according to a study by a team at Boston University published Monday in Nature Neuroscience. The study "provides important evidence that stimulating the brain with small amounts of electrical current is safe and can also improve memory," said Dr. Richard Isaacson, director of the Alzheimer's Prevention Clinic in the Center for Brain Health at Florida Atlantic University's Schmidt College of Medicine, who was not involved in the research. =================== I could probably find a taser if somebody wanted to try it out... ????

I watched it last night and agree somewhat. That said, it is still much better than most everything else being produced these days which is why it was so welo rated. It grabbed and held my attention, which is rare these days, for most of the movie. Only deteriorated in the last 25%. -

Sorry, but unlike the propaganda emanating from the right wing media, there is not a "woke" police that has an agenda of brainwashing the populace of their supposed ideas. Obviously the brainwashing is clearly on the right wing side. -

Probably better to tell us what you like instead of what you don't since you apparently detest what is rated as the best tv/movies of the past 30 years... -

Yeah, it's not a boring crime documentary with whites in all protagonist roles. Few here will appreciate it. I will, of course, check it out. The original GOT started out relatively slowly as they introduced the players. I expect the same here.
