  1. The only people supporting RFK Jr are the repugnicans.
  2. Eww. It's going to be messy. The girls will have shift work. Another excuse to shortchange you on your long-time. “I've got to get back to the bar. My shift is about to start“
  3. It works fine for my needs. I'd hold off buying the static IP until you found out if their shared IPs are blocked. In my case they gave it free when I explained their regular IPs were blacklisted. The torguard website shows all the options and costs for fixed IPs, etc.
  4. Couldn't edit previous post. Unplugging your router will do nothing. As described above, it's the IP in England supplied by the vpn that counts. You could accomplish the same thing by disconnecting your vpn and reconnecting. By the luck of the draw the new IP you received may not be blocked.
  5. The fixed IP i received was from torguard, the vpn company I now use. A local fixed IP from 3bb won't help because as soon as you connect via whatever vpn you are using their IP in England which the BBC sees and will still be blocked. Unplugging your router will do nothing. As described above, it's the IP in England supplied by the vpn that counts.
  6. I had nordvpn for many years but found it was having issues too. I tried a bunch of others and was having difficulties with many that required support intervention. Finally settled on torguard. It was “acting up“ too, but the support, via email was spectacular. The problem I was having was that the service I was using had blocked the IP range used by the VPN and therefore I could not connect. BBC is probably doing the same. The support solution was to, for free, give me a fixed IP. This IP is not blocked. Wonderful. 3 years around $60 USD. Automatic renewal available at same rate. If I needed to pay for the fixed IP it would have been another $60.
  7. All that shows is that the stainless steel is coating an iron core, or it's a cheap grade of stainless steel. Likely the new ikea top doesn't accommodate the grade of stainless in that pan. Luckily for the OP, both were purchased from Ikea so it's on them to resolve.
  8. Sorry. Magnets don't stick to stainless steel. Me thinks this is probably your problem.
  9. You block ads on AN? Sacriligous.
  10. But Ubuntu is debian based...
  11. https://edition.cnn.com/europe/live-news/russia-ukraine-war-news-07-17-23/index.html The key Crimean Bridge linking the annexed peninsula to Russia was hit by two strikes early Monday, according to multiple reports. The governor of Russia's Krasnodar, Veniamin Kondratiev, said on Telegram a crisis center has been formed to coordinate emergency services and rescue those stuck in traffic on the approaches to the bridge. Two strikes were reportedly carried out on the bridge around 3 a.m. local time, damaging part of the structure, according to pro-Wagner Telegram channel Grey Zone.
  12. Bias is different than accuracy. You can lean one way and report mostly truth, or you can lean another way and report mainly fallacies. Differentiating between truth and fallacies is the point here.
  13. And now for something completely different. https://www.imdb.com/video/vi238336537 I haven't laughed this much in a long time. If you're religious, you may not appreciate it. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7529770 Fourth and final season is underway.
  14. How about a list of news sources that don't have facts and truth? I could easily start that one. Once this list is populated, any source not on the list could meet your criteria.
  15. Do post your evaluation of the new Linux controlled system compared to windowz.
  16. Put some flavor of linux on a usb stick and boot from that. See how well it runs on your old system. Linux mint is one that is quite easy to use for windows users. You want a live cd version. There will be instructions on the website on how to do it.
  17. So no problem then. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
  18. A better question is what problem are you having that 6E will remedy?
  19. Why imagine? China and Russia both have surveillance from outside the 12 mile limit, in submarines, balloons, spy planes, etc. Oh wait, the last balloon was shot down because it violated the 12 mile limit.
  20. As the old saying goes, if the truth hurts, suffer.
  21. If you were listening to the radio or watching America's top 40, you missed out on the good music from the 70s. Most of the good stuff never made it there.
