What Movies or TV shows are you watching (2023)
I had nordvpn for many years but found it was having issues too. I tried a bunch of others and was having difficulties with many that required support intervention. Finally settled on torguard. It was “acting up“ too, but the support, via email was spectacular. The problem I was having was that the service I was using had blocked the IP range used by the VPN and therefore I could not connect. BBC is probably doing the same. The support solution was to, for free, give me a fixed IP. This IP is not blocked. Wonderful. 3 years around $60 USD. Automatic renewal available at same rate. If I needed to pay for the fixed IP it would have been another $60.

What type of MCB for an induction cooker in 3-phase operation?
All that shows is that the stainless steel is coating an iron core, or it's a cheap grade of stainless steel. Likely the new ikea top doesn't accommodate the grade of stainless in that pan. Luckily for the OP, both were purchased from Ikea so it's on them to resolve.

Sorry. Magnets don't stick to stainless steel. Me thinks this is probably your problem.

Trump sees democracy as ‘enemy territory’ says journalist who helped bring down Nixon
Bias is different than accuracy. You can lean one way and report mostly truth, or you can lean another way and report mainly fallacies. Differentiating between truth and fallacies is the point here.

And now for something completely different. https://www.imdb.com/video/vi238336537 I haven't laughed this much in a long time. If you're religious, you may not appreciate it. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7529770 Fourth and final season is underway.

How about a list of news sources that don't have facts and truth? I could easily start that one. Once this list is populated, any source not on the list could meet your criteria.

Do post your evaluation of the new Linux controlled system compared to windowz.

Why does my laptop run at near or 100% CPU load?
Put some flavor of linux on a usb stick and boot from that. See how well it runs on your old system. Linux mint is one that is quite easy to use for windows users. You want a live cd version. There will be instructions on the website on how to do it.

Female Drug Suspect Dies In Fall From Police Station Window
There was a California police officer arrested for pedophilia in Cambodia when I lived there maybe 20 years ago. The local police complained that he wouldn't cooperate (likely due to him knowing the game they were playing). According to the police, he committed suicide. The story they told is that the suspect wrestled a gun from one of the officers and shot himself in the mouth...twice. And the moral of this story is that you can't necessarily believe what the police tell you when a suspect dies.

Why imagine? China and Russia both have surveillance from outside the 12 mile limit, in submarines, balloons, spy planes, etc. Oh wait, the last balloon was shot down because it violated the 12 mile limit.

‘Decency and dignity’: Multiple carefully crafted Biden narratives fall apart as 2024 race heats up
Former Fox executives say they regret helping Rupert Murdoch birth ‘disinformation machine’ https://edition.cnn.com/2023/07/12/media/former-fox-executives-rupert-murdoch-reliable-sources/index.html Three former high-ranking Fox executives are blasting Rupert Murdoch for Fox News’ role spreading disinformation in the public discourse. In a joint statement published Wednesday, the executives — Preston Padden, Ken Solomon, and Bill Reyner — expressed profound regret for their roles helping Murdoch build Fox in its early days. Padden was Fox’s chief Washington lobbyist; Solomon was the vice president of network distribution; and Reyner was the lead outside counsel. “We never envisioned, and would not knowingly have enabled, the disinformation machine that, in our opinion, Fox has become,” they added
