  1. Damn. I'm in Pattaya and I can smell it from here.
  2. All that shows is that the stainless steel is coating an iron core, or it's a cheap grade of stainless steel. Likely the new ikea top doesn't accommodate the grade of stainless in that pan. Luckily for the OP, both were purchased from Ikea so it's on them to resolve.
  3. Sorry. Magnets don't stick to stainless steel. Me thinks this is probably your problem.
  4. You block ads on AN? Sacriligous.
  5. But Ubuntu is debian based...
  6. https://edition.cnn.com/europe/live-news/russia-ukraine-war-news-07-17-23/index.html The key Crimean Bridge linking the annexed peninsula to Russia was hit by two strikes early Monday, according to multiple reports. The governor of Russia's Krasnodar, Veniamin Kondratiev, said on Telegram a crisis center has been formed to coordinate emergency services and rescue those stuck in traffic on the approaches to the bridge. Two strikes were reportedly carried out on the bridge around 3 a.m. local time, damaging part of the structure, according to pro-Wagner Telegram channel Grey Zone.
  7. Bias is different than accuracy. You can lean one way and report mostly truth, or you can lean another way and report mainly fallacies. Differentiating between truth and fallacies is the point here.
  8. And now for something completely different. https://www.imdb.com/video/vi238336537 I haven't laughed this much in a long time. If you're religious, you may not appreciate it. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7529770 Fourth and final season is underway.
  9. How about a list of news sources that don't have facts and truth? I could easily start that one. Once this list is populated, any source not on the list could meet your criteria.
  10. Do post your evaluation of the new Linux controlled system compared to windowz.
  11. Put some flavor of linux on a usb stick and boot from that. See how well it runs on your old system. Linux mint is one that is quite easy to use for windows users. You want a live cd version. There will be instructions on the website on how to do it.
  12. So no problem then. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
  13. A better question is what problem are you having that 6E will remedy?
  14. There was a California police officer arrested for pedophilia in Cambodia when I lived there maybe 20 years ago. The local police complained that he wouldn't cooperate (likely due to him knowing the game they were playing). According to the police, he committed suicide. The story they told is that the suspect wrestled a gun from one of the officers and shot himself in the mouth...twice. And the moral of this story is that you can't necessarily believe what the police tell you when a suspect dies.
  15. Why imagine? China and Russia both have surveillance from outside the 12 mile limit, in submarines, balloons, spy planes, etc. Oh wait, the last balloon was shot down because it violated the 12 mile limit.
  16. As the old saying goes, if the truth hurts, suffer.
  17. If you were listening to the radio or watching America's top 40, you missed out on the good music from the 70s. Most of the good stuff never made it there.
  18. Looks like it just wasn't in the cards that she make it to Bangkok.
  19. Former Fox executives say they regret helping Rupert Murdoch birth ‘disinformation machine’ https://edition.cnn.com/2023/07/12/media/former-fox-executives-rupert-murdoch-reliable-sources/index.html Three former high-ranking Fox executives are blasting Rupert Murdoch for Fox News’ role spreading disinformation in the public discourse. In a joint statement published Wednesday, the executives — Preston Padden, Ken Solomon, and Bill Reyner — expressed profound regret for their roles helping Murdoch build Fox in its early days. Padden was Fox’s chief Washington lobbyist; Solomon was the vice president of network distribution; and Reyner was the lead outside counsel. “We never envisioned, and would not knowingly have enabled, the disinformation machine that, in our opinion, Fox has become,” they added
  20. Haven't you noticed? Almost anything critical of faux news is deleted within a few hours. I'm amazed your post is still here. I expect this one will be gone soon.
  21. This thread is about kamala Harris. Stop trying to divert it to Donald Trump.
