Water rationing starts 1st July
Tropicalevo replied to Tropicalevo's topic in Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao
We have a couple of small Thai rental units that we use for storage and a 'rest place' for staff when they are tired or lunch and their home is further away. They were on government water until recently. Now none. Nothing in the press though. -
Karenni Army Mounts Fierce Attack On Town Opposite Mae Hong Son

And after the surrender, the bombing and shelling by the junta will start? And Thailand arrests folk taking drones into Burma. -
Myanmar Junta Used Chartered Plane To Fly Cash From Mae Sot To Yangon

Well done. So do I and my conscience does give me a bit of a kick up the backside at times. Then the old head in its twilight years says, but Thailand is a lot better than most other counties at the moment. The real people are lovely. The food is great and the beer is cold. So here I stay. But Burma is a very sad situation for its people - who are just as lovely. I have no idea about the food and the beer as I will not go there and 'support' the corrupt military. -
Well done. Here on Samui I cannot find any a/c company that will give me scheduled maintenance on the units in the villas. When I ask, 'what's wrong with it' is the reply. We try and keep a schedule of when they were last serviced so that we can book the next one but then the a/c folk are 'too busy' when we call them. In reality, they want to install new ones in new builds, of which there are a lot on the island.

I was always told that they flee the scene until the families of the two parties can come to a financial agreement. This is seen as preferable to taking it to court. (Lawyers costs etc.) -
Two Men Found Dead in Sattahip Water Treatment Pond
Tropicalevo replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
A previous article on this story from a couple of days ago, said that they were draining the pond and 'cleaning' it up. Possibly, that is how they managed to find the bodies. They were already looking for them. -

And the government want us to believe that legalising casinos will stop illegal gambling. -
PM Srettha greenlights cruise ship terminal project on Samui Island
Tropicalevo replied to webfact's topic in Koh Samui News
As long as Red Bull aren't involved On a side note - when guests are leaving Samui, airport or ferry, I advise them NOT to use GRAB. It is unreliable. But guests know better of course. Guest went to go to the airport a short while back. He called GRAB. Plai Laem to airport - 5,315 baht. (That is not a typo.) All of the taxis and vans were at the ferry terminal picking up guests from a cruise ship for island tours etc. 40 minute wait for our normal taxi service (depending on traffic). Other guests have missed flights because of cancelled GRAB bookings. -

Muslims say that they are 'believers'. Unfortunately, people only believe what they want to believe. Even with the evidence widely available all over the internet, many choose not to believe it. They prefer to believe the lies from the mouths of killers.

I have also noticed a lot more smaller, independent water trucks. Even our local car hire guy has bought one to sell water. We are currently paying 700 baht per truck. Supposed to be 6 cubic meters. In reality, 5+ cubic meters. A four bedroom villa, plus pool, plus garden is taking up to 8 trucks per month at this time of year. -

No. She is an attention seeking scrounger, living on publicity and handouts. She probably could not get a proper job if she tried. Free food in gaol darling. -

Good luck with that one Phuket. Let's hope that there is a maintenance budget as well. Samui failed because of lack of one. -

The hotel is a good guess. Not much money in hourly lets? Or a competitor. -
Technically - but there is a difference. Software for back office banking systems and the web tends to be real programs. Usually tested well (we called it destruction testing back in the day). Apps is a 'dinky' term mostly used for the Mickey Mouse stuff on your phone. This is often written and sent out with minimal testing on the basis that the 'users will tell us when and where it does not work'. Apps is a recent abbreviation. (Application software.)
