Tops Mini outlets?
I have never seen a CJ More shop here on Samui. Mind you, when I am driving, I am watching the road, not window shopping.

Tops Mini outlets?
Good question. ???? ????

There will be no Democrat or United Thai Nation party in Srettha’s coalition
This is all just candy floss. He will change his mind and pick his 'friends' once he is PM and there is nothing that can be done about it.

Samui Immigration. Another stupid change.
I am not sure about only 8 years. Stupidity can have a long shelf life. I only go to Samui immigration once a year (for the annual photo - 10 minutes) and I pay no fines.

Temple incident: Monk prompts killing of dog in Chiang Mai causes public outrage
It is not a one sided story. We have all seen the way that some dogs defend their territory and themselves. The one that I have seen many times is when some young people on motorbikes try and kick a sleeping dog as they drive past it. Guess what. When the dog sees a bike, it goes for the feet of the people on it! According to some folk, it is the dog's fault.

That is not what happened, but I am sure that you think that you know best.

Chiang Mai elephant sanctuary faces closure amid family inheritance dispute
I have never seen an elephant in a cage. I have seen them in the wild in Kenya, Tanzania, Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka. They need lots of space. However, there is not enough land for the ones here. They need lots of extra grub. (Samui is not very big!) The ones on Samui are all ex tourist/working ones. Bought from different 'work sites' throughout Thailand.

Have You Turned into Your Dad?
Ditto. Dad did a runner when I was a wee mite (and no regrets on my part).

Chiang Mai elephant sanctuary faces closure amid family inheritance dispute
And then, what happens to the elephants? Starvation? There is no easy solution to this problem. There are three elephant sanctuaries on Koh Samui. They are all struggling for funds to look after the little darlings.

Puncture.
Not temporary as far as I know. Over the years I have had quite a few 'plugs' in both cars and bikes. Never a problem afterwards. Then again, I do not go driving on the highways on the mainland very much.

Action sought over student council’s expletive laden political declaration
The dinosaurs have already destroyed democracy. There is nothing left for the young students to destroy.

Online call to find information on senators’ mistresses trends in Thailand
I find it amazing that the dinosaurs are against changes to section 112 without knowing what those changes are. Fear of the unknown? An article a while back in the BP suggested that this was an emotional smoke screen. They are really against the FMP threatening to sack the senators but they cannot admit that publicly.

Myanmar crisis exposes gaps in Thai care for migrant children
Thailand's treatment of these poor refugees fleeing the war zone is disgusting. A very sad situation and the illegal military government's response is 'illegal immigrants'. Ironic really.

Credit Card in Thailand
Crossy is spot on. For a credit card, the bank needs to see a regular weekly/monthly salary going into the bank. My wife was a teacher and had no problems getting a credit card (to her delight). Whilst I, as a director and no 'regular' salary, have a frozen limit in my account to cover my 'credit card'. I keep a low limit to avoid fraud. When I need a large payment, I just put extra money on the card before I use it. Not the best solution but it keeps my money safe.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but rape, assault and murder DO happen everywhere.

Road collapse investigation scrutinises construction firms and contract process in Bangkok
The cause is simple. Large kick-backs to the friends of the dinosaurs mean not enough money for supplies and labour to build it properly.

Aggressive Saraburi truck driver rams and flees, victim seeks justice
Agreed. Thankfully, I find that there are a lot less road rage incidents in Thailand than in most 'civilised' countries. Usually, a cock/up end with a meek smile and a Wai.

EC sends Pita shareholding case to Charter Court
The hasty decision is possibly a parting gift from the outgoing PM. After all, the EC is in his pocket.

EC sends Pita shareholding case to Charter Court
A very sad event for all of those that want to see democracy in Thailand. Millions of disappointed people. We need a meteor to strike the place where the dinosaurs live.
