Discord in Discussion: Minimum Wage Hike Sparks Intense Debate
Tropicalevo replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Always amazing how those that do not run a business seem to assume that all employers are rich. I pay myself the minimum salary that I need in order to get a legal work permit. I do not siphon money off and I do not have a 'tax haven'. I pay all my taxes and I also pay those of the staff. There are lots of employers similar to me. -

Thaksin’s Attempt to Mediate Peace in Myanmar Faces Challenges
Tropicalevo replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I thought that the Thai government wasn't the one that was elected? It is a fudged up committee perhaps? Professionals? I suppose that technically that is what they are. They are being paid after all. -
I give the same advice to all guests who want to rent scooter. Assume that everyone else on the road is trying to kill you. Take care and take your time. There is no need to speed.

Car Clamping at Fisherman's Village
Tropicalevo replied to Tropicalevo's topic in Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao
And not all policemen are bad. My business partner went to pick up the car and was talking to our friendly captain, general, whatever. He said to tell the guests not to park against the red/white hatchings again, and then gave her the 1,000 baht fine back and said - just a warning this time. -
Thaksin’s Attempt to Mediate Peace in Myanmar Faces Challenges

I would have thought that anyone who is trying to help to stop fighting would be a positive anywhere in the world. Oh, I forgot about the Thaksin haters. -
Not sure if this has been going on for a while or not, but be careful where you park at Fisherman's Village. Police are clamping vehicles there - or they were last night. We had to help some guests out.

So you admit that it is genocide against Israel. Now the next point. When the 'Palestinians' aka Hamas invaded. There was no warning. No options. Israel has given plenty of warnings for the people in Gaza to leave. Bur they either choose not to or the other 'Palestinians' will not let them. By the way, I wonder why that other neighbour called Egypt doesn't let the people from Gaza into their country. Maybe because the Egyptians know that they are terrorists?
-
You have a selective memory. Genocide was against Israel by Hamas. Invading a county, murdering, raping and kidnapping innocent civilians because they were Israeli. No other reason. THAT is genocide. Do not confuse it with the major hostage rescue that is happening in Gaza. If you so called 'do gooders' want to stop the fighting just handover the hostages, along the with murdering rapists and kidnappers so that they can be tried. All hostilities would pretty much cease straight away.

He decriminalised it. There is a difference. Medicinal cannabis is legal. Recreational cannabis is not. It is only decriminalised. And that is where people are confused - especially the police. -
