I buy rotisserie chickens from Lotus's occasionally, but strip them of meat and but it in soups or sauces. There is the guy that makes honey rotisserie chickens chickens, but they are just too sweet and soggy skinned for my taste. We also have have a proper Thai Hat Yai fried chicken place, and they are really tasty but they cut them in such small pieces.

Uncertainty Over Thailand's Proposed 400 Baht Minimum Wage Hike
SpaceKadet replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Per hour? Do not think so, this are per day wages they are talking about. Isn't current minimum wage 500 baht? -
Are you talking to me?

Thanks for being neutral in your reply. I didn't really mean too be spiteful. It's just seems the current aura of the AN posts.... But IMO, they where both "heroes" and not. They did difficult mission without knowing what is was, and at the same time Enola Gay marks the start of the time in history when Homo Sapiens are able to to wipe themselves out, and "glass the planet" at the same time, to use the "Halo" wording. Whether the drop on Hiroshima and Nagasaki was needed, is debatable, but it did show what destruction mankind can inflict on itself. And those two are nothing compared to the Russian "Tsar Bomba", 100Mtons, dialed down to the 50Mtons for the test. 240PJ (peta jules) of energy, that was exploded over Kamchatka in 1961.

I know, I've seen, traveling to Romania (don't ask why!) with my father on a train through USSR in the mid 60's. Don't think much have changed. And I think that powers that be want to keep it this way.

Yes, I am a fan of David Bowie, but Scare Quotes is the official name of my usage of quotes. Get educated, it's in the IRONY section. Missed some primary school maybe?
-
From Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irony_punctuation "...Scare quotes are a particular use of quotation marks. They are placed around a word or phrase to indicate that it is not used in the fashion that the writer would personally use it. In contrast to the nominal typographic purpose of quotation marks, the enclosed words are not necessarily quoted from another source..."

Damn that Paul Tibbets for naming his B29 bomber after his mother!

Good research. Thanks you for enlightening us all....

Glad to be of service! But then, by the same token, Polish, German, French, the Scandinavian and many other languages that use what we call Latin alphabet, have some of their own letters added, to express local diphthongs and specific pronunciations... but you wouldn't know anything about that now, would you? And, yes, I can read Cyrillic, but speak very basic Russian (mostly swear words). But listening to Ukrainian, I can hear that they share many of the same words.

To counteract the topic: Is United States of America a country? It did not exist 250 years ago, it has no world history, and it was just created (just like Kuwait and Israel) by colonial powers raping and stealing the native lands.
-
Apologies for misunderstanding.
-
Pure BS, Ukrainians use Cyrillic alphabet as does Russia and some other countries. The language, although different, is similar to Russian, just like Polish and Czech are similar, or the Scandinavian languages. And no, Russians are not Slovaks, just a bunch of Tartars and Mongols.

If I would do your research for you, I would have to charge you my consultant fees, which I'm sure you would be able to afford. Do your own DuckDuckGo....
-
You mean, you didn't do any research before starting the topic with this title?

Autonomous powerful kingdoms for several hundred years, according to historians. But wait, your country is only 250 years old and you stole it from the natives, so what would you know about autonomous kingdom lasting hundred year years? Republic, non democratic constructs no not count in history.
-
Ukraine was several kingdoms when Moscow was just a pigsty surrounded by 4 huts. Original Kiev Rus was established by Swedish Vikings over a thousand years ago, as was the original powerful cities in what is now Russia (Novogorod). Rus in the name is short for Sweden in the Finish language (Ruotsi). Current Russians are just distant descendants to the Tartar and Mongol invaders from the east. I don't expect Americans to have any knowledge of World History, especially European. Go educate yourself OP!!!

Expert Calls for Urgent Review of Thailand's Alcohol Policies
SpaceKadet replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Maybe not a whisky, but an occasional Bloody Mary can be beneficial. Or a Champagne breakfast. Last time I checked, mom and pop shops didn't stock quality vodkas or champagne. Only local lao khao and the undrinkable buffo piss they call beer here. -

Thai Police Net Infamous Hacker in Major Cybercrime Operation
SpaceKadet replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Couldn't have been much of a hacker, not even being able to protect his own digital devices and location. And designer handbags? What is he, a CD or a lady boy? Before they start mentioning luxury cars, perhaps they should start checking up on their own mid ranking RTP officers. Wow, what a wording... "notorious" and "digital terror" in the same sentence. I hope they went in all guns blazing, like the police did to Kim Dotcom, and Kim wasn't even a hacker. -
I need a bunch of documents certified by a lawyer or equivalent for a financial institution in UK. Can somebody recommend a lawyer, attorney or notary public that can do this? Preferably in Prachuap Khiri Khan as it's closest to me, but Hua Hin would do too. Thanks in advance...
