To be honest, I would hate to have to go on so many of these trips. There is a line that needs to be drawn, for the most part, between colleagues and friends. What is seriously missing in this topic is a conversation about parenting. School is just a small part of learning. Kids need to learn from others too. Let your kids learn from you too. It's not difficult for a kid of mixed race and culture to grow up liking, respecting, understanding and following 2 different cultures. Just like they can grow up bilingual. There are parts of Thai culture that are better than those in a western world and vise versa.
