  1. 4. Visitors should postpone their visits to Thailand if they develop a respiratory disease until the government stop making up unnecessary rules.
  2. Ray Hotel and Sita Princess are good hotels. Both have swimming pools. There was an expat with motorcycle rental on the corner of the entrance to the bus station. Not sure about NCA to Chiang Mai. ( just checked the website. Still showing. You might need to search Ubon to Chiang Mai, as that is where the bus starts.)
  3. I said nothing about being discriminated against. You don't know how old I am so don't know how you think you can comment. If travel insurance companies believe you are too high a risk then there must be something wrong. I did say " reconsider" your options.
  4. Seriously. If your age and past health are serious enough to be refuses travel insurance, I think you should seriously reconsider your travel options.
  5. By using "up to this point" you are not predicting the future. That is why it should be used. I have never rejected the idea of evaluations. However, the results should be " it is failing" or " it is being successful", up to that point.
  6. One cannot put a time on it. Should UK rejoin, thus Brexit cease, that would be a good time to be able to evaluate. In the mean time, any opinion should be followed by " up to this point in time" or similar.
  7. https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/1245892/brexit-news-blue-passport-poland-theresa-may-boris-johnson-priti-patel-spt https://www.cips.org/supply-management/news/2018/march/eu-rules-behind-uk-blue-passport-contract-decision/ Just 2 for you to peruse.
  8. My posts have been clear all along. It is possible to talk about negative impacts thus far, although Covid and Ukraine war must be factored in, but impossible to say Brexit is a failure as it is ongoing.
  9. The other topic is about Brexit being a failure or success. I, for one, gave tried to explain it is impossible to say, so far, as it is ongoing. The above is far more debatable as it is talking about what has happened so far.
  10. I believe UK were still in EU in 2017. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
  11. Indeed. However, as the subject matter is UK and it was UK making a decision, I used discrimination against non UK companies as the example. I know how you like to keep on topic.
  12. Erroneously, as I pointed out. It cannot be deemed a failure as it, currently, is infinite. Should it come to an end, UK rejoin???, everyone can then look back and comment.
  13. Actually, the rules at the time meant the UK government did not know the identity of the bidders. It was an EU law supposedly aimed at avoiding discrimination against non UK companies.
  14. There is no mention in the poll about mistakes. The question is whether Brexit is a success or failure. Something that is impossible to answer in its entirety right now. How long until we will know? It's,a piece of string.
  15. Avoided, as in, not paying what she should have. You still have not provided evidence of that.
  16. It's a shame she's been targeted just because of her husband's job. Does she get tax credits in India because she pays in UK too? No. She's double wammied. People seem to think Non Dom is only for the rich. Really? NO.
  17. Once again I will explain. She has Non Dom status. She was not avoiding paying tax. She didn't need to pay it by law. Any decisions she may have made are personal preferences. As pointed out in this part of the article from your link.... "Murthy said her previous tax arrangements were "entirely legal", and that she would continue to claim India, not Britain, as her domicile. Sunak previously said she intends to return to India to care for her parents when they become infirm."
  18. Those stories are not about tax avoidance. They're about not paying tax in UK. She doesn't earn money in UK and has non dom status. Please provide proof that she avoided paying tax . Thanks.
  19. Unless they appeal to your way of thinking.????????????????
  20. But facts don't. So tell us, how many new leaders of the Conservative party have there been since the UK left the EU? Not since the referendum. The topic is since Brexit happened.
  21. Isaan is not a province. It's a region. In reference to my comparison. I was showing how different people cope in times of hardship. Those that get on with it compared to those who wait for handouts. Perfectly comparable.
  22. A good part of any discussion, not arguement, is comparisons. Goes with out saying.
