  1. Thais are/were famous for what they call 'sanook' which I think means having a bit of banter; a laugh and a joke in all social interactions when working or whenever. The Irish call it 'the crack'. I think there is a lot less of that now that smart phones have arrived.. I love to sit and eat and drink in a Thai night market just watching the interactions between stallholders and with customers while their kids run around and play or sit behind doing their homework. Most come there everyday to sell and there there seems to be a real community spirit there.
  2. Is it the same price as paying at the border?
  3. This is what happens when you stare at a smart phone all day long!
  4. He has a return flight booked in March. Can he enter visa exempt in November with this or will he need to show an exit flight or bus ticket within the 45 days or 75 days (with extension)?
  5. So can one now fly in visa exempt, extend it, then do two more out/in visa exempt land border entries and get a 165 day stay? 45+30+45+45 = 165 days. Or even extend both land border entries for 30 days to give you = 225 days or thereabouts? Or is there a limit restricting this? I have a friend coming for 120 days in November. He's having problems with the dreaded evisa website so can he avoid it with visa exempt entries?

  7. Really? Well those measures were more appropriate than the alcohol ban.
  8. What? While its moving?...555...Do you think they would trust you to keep it until the next stop? 555.
  9. Yes and the rapist was a railway staff member working on the train.
  10. ...And be decapitated or electrocuted by a hanging cable...555
  11. So were u the seats drinking or behind the curtain?
  12. I presume that consuming alcohol on trains is still banned (I used to enjoy a couple of beers followed by a meal in the restaurant car to shorten a long distance overnight trip). Does anyone know how strict this is if one discreetly consumes a couple of concealed cans as it could be in so many places during Covid19? If noticed would a blind eye be shown or would I risk being thrown off the train at the next station? Anyone have experience of this during train travel?
  13. Yes they are available in London now. No insurance requirement either.
  14. No logic in Thailand so of course they understand.
