I'm actually coming to the realization that I don't need it at all, but I already bought the software and tuning harness.
For sure you dont need... but heck if it is there take it! I sure would

Next week I'll be re-mapping the low-power setting into a new tune that will increase the mid-range hit by ~25hp
I cannot help but smile when I read things like this.
Seeing as your bumping your mid-range by almost my total HP
Doh!

As it's the same model as the 250 I wonder if we can just swap the engine for 20K.
For sure you can swap engines but 20k maybe not quite enough baht heheh
Although the way the young Thai's crash these things it would be interesting to get in with a insurance company & claim the
first total if the engine is ok.
Then swap your side case with your serial number onto the new engine & done
I had said already I like the 250 Bore & stroke wise but one thing I was curious about is whether this slipper clutch
is a direct fit? That would be an interesting upgrade that may not cost much.
I have been noticing parts for the Ninja here are about a third of what the US charges so there is one small benefit
to being where they manufacture
I recently had to buy a new speedo unit & it was 5k baht
In the USA they want close to 600 USD or 18,500 baht

This RSV Racing in Thailand do some beautiful work.
Rearsets, sliders etc.
Now they have this Ninja 250/300 swingarm in black or silver for 7500 baht
Very nice work & I bet it is stiff as heck
Kawasaki should have done this themselves although maybe they figured overkill

Assist Thai Visa Services
It is all a matter of what people think is value for money , or what value they put on their time.
In my opinion 6,500 to Assist Thai Visa to do 4 - 90 day reports and a annual extension is value for money . Other people might not?. 6,500 baht is such a small amount of money that I for one am quite happy to use the service provided by them.
I pretty much agree & was one of the first I believe using them for 90 day reports.
I would consider using them for annual but am not clear what they provide in that situation?
If you have used them can you clarify what all they do for you on that renewal?

Funny as I thought the same things when we were recently there this past Sunday.
We took the bike so parking was easy but when we came out a few hours later there
were many trapped cars. I know it is normal for cars to park in front of others & remain
in neutral but these folks left no room for others to roll the cars out of the way. So many folks were standing waiting for the attendants.
The attendants seemed to be running around with rolling floor jacks?
I guess the theory was they would jack & pivot some cars? Man that could be a real mess given their experience of where to place that
jack on newer cars. But in any case I guess those who parked take their chances
As to the mall itself yes I said the exact same to the wife. Pretty underwhelming & who will be their anchor tenants?
Will they have a Robinsons etc? Because as it stands now not much of any bigger places.
The new section upstairs is mainly banks & the new large computer/appliance place of which I forget the name.
Rimping market was nice modern looking but kind of odd with the dark lighting but lit shelves effect
Coffee places? tons
Japanese restaurants seem popular too & we ate at Fuji but it is much smaller than Airport Mall Fuji
We decided to see a movie & what a mistake that turned out to be.
My own fault I guess but I told the guy two tickets for the 12:50 show
He asked if I wanted in English with Thai subs & I said yes.
It was about 10-15 minutes before showtime so we went to go in & the ushers said not yet.
Ok wait...try again...not yet...Finally it is showtime & still not yet.
Then I look closely at the tickets & see he sold me two for the 2:50 show.
Go back ask for refund....Mai Dai
Ok then a credit card M movie deal to use another time since I dont want to stand here 2 hours?
Mai Dai !!! Can I switch to any movie that is on even if already started? Mai Dai !!
Jeezz
Ok what can we do? Well you can wait while I try to sell your tickets....
Of course they did not sell & we stayed for the movie. Which was quite empty so no wonder they did not sell.
So yes I got a pretty good look at the whole mall that is opened anyway while we waited
Not too anxious to return

Never properly ridden a bike with ABS - this wouldnt be my primary concern, it would simply be price alone. For the, expected 60k or so saving, I dont believe the difference in the 2 would be worthwhile to me in my useage. Although, if i am honest with myself, the 300 would be more traffic/user firendly.
Saw a KTM for sale, but the guy was a real arrogant D@@@@@k and was telling me if i didnt bring the exact amount there would be zero chance of a ride or even getting a mechanic to look at it!
Nothing wrong with ABS per se' I just hate how it feels.
Same in my truck.
One thing very nice on the KTM's is you can switch it off or on as you like.

I like the red and black in the second set of pics, looks kind of like the ER6 red from a couple of years ago. It looks more orange in the first set of pictures.
Seems like quite a jump in HP for just 50cc extra. That must be measured at the crank but isn't that almost a 25% increase over the 250?
Yeah that does look less orange than teh Japan pic.
On power yes that is crank HP #s
Actual rear wheel is around 35 & they are hitting 40 now with EFI controller & pipe from area P
First graph is stock baseline
.
Then with pipe etc.

release date ?
Dealer here in Chiangmai said they need to off their existing 250 stock but delivery at the end of this month?
Odd because then he said so maybe 2 months to clear existing orders but I can put a deposit if I want?
Weird because I am there often & often ask about a 300 yet he always said no, no have
Now he tells me they had existing orders? Sheesh

Well I got my Sonic Springs for my fork today
Not too bad I guess as the charged me roughly 27% Customs fee.
Left US on July 11th & with the holiday here not too bad time wise I guess.
The hard part was getting it at all
The last 2 days the online tracking in the US & Thailand said attempted
delivery & card left but no such card.
So I went to the closest post office today with the number after a bit of explaining they sent
me to a bigger branch in town.
That one took about 45 minutes there to sort but finally got it
Hopefully if I do any more imports it is a bit easier

TO be honest, once it comes out I would rather buy a second hand 2013 250cc of some Thai guy that MUST HAVE THE NEW THING - even after he spent 1000's on upgrades! The market will be flooded with them!
WIsh that KTM was better priced, perfect bike for me here in Phuket!
That is true eezergood & also I do not like/want ABS which this new bike has no option out of.
One more thing I have always said is I wished Kawasaki went the other way when they increased the displacement
to not bring the engine closer to square
The old ninja is a blast engine characteristic wise. Not sure how much this added torque via stroke will
take away from the current Bore X Stroke ratio but it has dropped from 1.50 for the 250 which is excellent
down to 1.26 on the 300
Like you I also like the KTM's a lot!
So much so that I have noticed some folks can buy them in India or Cambodia & work some kind of temp registration.
Still looking to see how it all works but the price difference is incredibly less
-
Cool, that's a pretty competitive price when you consider the CBR500 is 210,000. The 500 is slightly more powerful but the Ninja has the slipper clutch and maybe a slightly sportier design. Tough choice, not 100% sure about these colours though....
Yeah good price as you cannot buy that many horses in power increase for the 250 for 20k not to mention the slipper clutch.
Bit of a pisser too as I specifically asked if this would be available in Thailand in 2014 & was told no way not for at least 2 more years

Hope & wait my friend!
Just saw today that the Ninja 300 is here & will sell for 182k Baht

Very nice R6 example

Seems like a simple request that should have gone without saying.
From the article
What Carr proposes echoes a proposal from another former FISC judge: give the public a voice to counter the government's proposals. How could it be anything less?
The mess we see these days is due to the lack of voice given to the actual employers of this government.
When we employed them we did not give them unlimited powers to rule over us. We elect them to REPRESENT us

Latest from Kbank
Odd how they describe what you get if you leave early in that 14 month plan.
Normally it is 3.2 from 3 months on but I notice the way they describe theirs sounds like a stepped plan
Note there are rates from less than 3, 0-3. 6-less than 14 & finally the 14 month rate So they have many rates for early withdrawal types
Of course that is all fine as most will leave for the whole 14 months but, the way it is described makes me
want to read their fine print to see that 3.2% is paid for the full term & the short rates are just early withdrawal
rates/penalties
What I would like to find is more Ayudhya style accounts. with no time/no penalties & with monthly interest
untaxed & paid each month. If one needs to withdraw they allow two withdrawals per month free.
The Mee Tae Dai is down to 2.65% now but still offers all of that

it's about power.
money is part of it but not all.
One usually begets the other no?
How does one buy power or strength for military buildup etc?
Or infrastructure to broaden their economy?
I do not think anyone would call a financially poor country powerful.
North Korea, maybe? At any rate, they manage to get everyones attention fairly often!
That is actually a good example.
But they also spend every penny they have/had on their military
But even with that more of an attention getter than a true power.
They may threaten the South but the reality is they would not last long
as the South has some friends.
I guess the North does too & that may be more of their perceived power.
They sure have not done well with any range testing

Better late than never!
Yeah for sure & I think it looks like a great bike.
If priced right I am sure it would do well in Asia & India

up to you.
if you are happy for a Chinese to have an american's arm twisted up his back, fine.
I don't like their style.
I am guessing your on topic of Currency issues as your post stands.
All I will say is I do not see it as arm twisting
As a lender is not twisting anyone's arm to borrow.
