In order to access Snowden’s data, Russian security services would therefore need him to provide the encryption keys, which he does not seem likely to give up voluntarily. His supporters have cast him as an altruistic whistleblower; handing over secrets to the Russian government would seem to undermine the values of transparency that he extols."
I think it may be even more boring than that.
I think what Snowden has is mainly injustices towards the American Citizens
& of little interest to others who always knew it was ongoing. Yes he may also have proof
that the US spies on all embassies friends & foes alike. But again that may not be news to the other countries.
Snowden has kept his word & not made this about himself. He did not want it to be a sideshow
so he has not done a bunch of interviews or really give his opinion on the US except for his initial reason to
release such info.
Instead he wanted to release the info & let the citizens decide what next.
But it seems without a sideshow it is very hard to hold a US citizens interest these days.
If the US media has nothing sensational to put on the tube it basically gets very little interest.
So it will be interesting to see/hear what else will be released if anything at all.

Dont know where you are but in Chiangmai the Bike renewal place is
not the same as the DMV for cars.
Also it is super fast & efficient.
Out front on the street are about 4-5 insurance stalls from the main guys.
Buy your min. gov insurance if that is what you want.
Then take inside the main building with your green book
or even use the drive up for scooters window & get it.
5 min to get insure & probably 2-3min to get tax paper
431 baht total spent for both
-
Looks the same.
For me one of the let down's on these cheap Thai made 250's and 500's are the chopstick forks and chopstick swingarm.
When I say cheap, I mean not cheaper than they sell for in America after freight and import taxes.
Since I have been riding for many decades it does not bother me much.
When I was younger I had even smaller swingarms & lousy suspension on much faster bikes
Of course we have gotten use to seeing nice swingarms but they are usually alloy on an alloy frame bike.
Now that would be cool too if they did these with an alloy frame. They use to do the smaller cbr's with them
But I guess costs go up & dollar buying powers go down
For a real treat go look at the nice frames they make for Moto3 bikes ...verrry nice

Looks nice in orange.... but that swingarm's gotta go!
Yes it does tend to look anemic eh?
I think it is basically the same on the Honda 500's yes?
Both have chain guards that make that side look a little better &
I have seen fake huggers that make it look like a beefy swing arm.
I am not into that type of cosmetics
But the best is probably the guys who swap them for something off other bikes.
I guess it is enough as is but agree tends to look a bit wimpy
-
In that scenario, no one would be given a job like that unless they had been a long standing and very good member of the Communist party.
That is true
I like to hope that there will always be enough
conscience in humans to eventually have at least one or two that
do the right thing at the important turning points in time.
Think back to WWII all the eastern bloc rocket scientist who after developing
great destructive powers at the last moment thought better of it & defected.
Or even the little guy that stood in front of the tanks in
Tiananmen Square in Beijing, June 5 1989
All these kinds of people think not of themselves at the moment they decide
it is so wrong they can no longer in good conscience be a part of
it.
-
US are doing it. Enemies of US are doing it.
2 wrongs don't make a right, agreed.
However the reality is in today's world US is probably less malicious.
Yes & of course we would like to think we are not as bad.
But the truth is we do not know anymore.
A better defense against cyber spying would be better than this
so called justified preemptive spying to be sure they are not doing exactly what we ourselves
are engaged in.
But more to the point we should not be pointing fingers or preaching.
It is Hypocrisy
-
Naive?Naïve.
That is what I call those with selective morals.
That deem it fair play to do as they admonish other not to do.
As in this case of Cyber Spying

By speaking with Hong Kong's oldest English-language newspaper, Snowden seemed to be directly addressing the city he has chosen as his safe harbor. And by disclosing that he possesses documents that he says describe U.S. hacking against China, he appeared to be trying to win support from the Chinese government.
China already knows we hack into its servers — as does anybody "with a pulse and a functioning brain,"
" because while damaging to disclose, it is not news."
How the US-China dustup harms Americans
What has changed, however, is that Obama’s campaign to stop China from stealing US commercial secrets is effectively dead.
Aside from Snowden probably being off topic in this instance I would address two points.
1- It would be common sense to be forthcoming with a country you are using as safe harbor.
The comment that anyone with a pulse knows the US hacks China is all the more reasons that
those who live in glass houses should not throw stones.
Another case of do as we preach & not as we ourselves do?
2- As for Snowdens actions harming the USA's ability to scold China for doing what they themselves do?
Accept responsibility for your own wrong action please.
Maybe the US should stop hacking/stealing & then look to tell China to do the same.
The place that Snowden told China was being hacked was a research facility for goodness sake.
This attitude of claiming high ground & not accepting responsibility for your own wrongful acts is really too much.
Either you are righteous/virtuous or your not.
If not then please practice what you preach or don't act indignant
This is tantamount to a thief being caught then blaming the informant

^^^^he's probably saying good thing this bike doesn't have much power as it doesn't have much brakes:_)
-
Stefan Bradl the MotoGP rider for Honda LCR team
takes the CBR500 for a spin probably at the Sachsenring in Germany as they
race MotoGP there this week.
-
Looks like the bike is being nicely rebuilt, maybe not all the parts went on it yet?
True & now that you mentioned it I do see the front brake lever etc. missing
would not be too fun with just that little back drum brake
-
Would the engine be new or 2nd hand?
Am guessing duties to be higher on new maybe 32%?
Shipping cost no idea
The bigger question is will it go in a street bike or race bike?
If street I would also wonder how hard to get the green book to reflect the engine change
of serial numbers.
Good luck though & will be interesting to hear what you find out.
-
Where's da front caliper on that Yellow bike?
Good eye Shurup
It is missing isn't it?
Here is another with it but a bike I googled

So what does that have to do with what the NSA is doing?
If it is just normal, every country does it, no problem. Then why are the US after Snowden if it is no big deal?
You do have to laugh as some cheer on the race to the bottom of the morals & loss of liberties barrel using
"They all do it" as their justification.
The difference is the USA once stood against such practices & preached to others to do the same.
Today it looks like they have thrown in the towel & hide behind the war on terror as reason to not
practice what they have always preached.
Hopefully there are enough real Americans left in the USA to reinstate our Constitution & help
the US back to its former self.

That is cool too Wantan thanks
When I see some older bikes especially smaller capacity bikes.
It reminds me of older architecture.
40 years or more? ago they built many small homes in the US
I think they were called craftsmen cottages.
Even though they were small they had very cool complex roof designs.
Bike & engines like these remind me of them.
The builders seemed to look at the bike as a whole & worked to make them look
very nice/flowing design wise.
Only a smallish engine but a V twin with thought given to exhaust design/aesthetics
etc.
Very nice

I booked an online appiontment recently and due to printer failure was not able to print. Now am able to print but do not not queue card code, on previous times have received an e-mail confirming appiontment but have not recieved one yet have others received e-mails lately. I have e-mail an enquiry to immagration but have as of yet. Has anybody esle had this problem
Next time
If your using a windows computer all you need do is hit print.
But when the print menu pops open switch from your designated printer to Microsoft XPS Document writer
It is always there in the drop down menu below your printer
It will then save the thing you wanted to print where you want it ( desktop etc. )for printing later or just viewing.
Kind of like what Tywais is doing but even easier, although both work fine the xps doc later prints as a doc

Peeping tom caught looking under a womans skirt due to someone telling her
The person who told the woman has undermined the peeping toms ability to go unnoticed & his relationship with the woman.
Hang the person who told the woman or castrate the peeping tom?
How he even got a peep under that long skirt is beyond me but I say castrate the peeping tom

Has Snowden got Internet access? How is he communicating with the outside world in his asylum seeking efforts? Via embassies in Moscow with Putin's approval?
"Ortega also confirmed that his government had received a formal asylum request from Snowden via its embassy in Moscow, China's Xinhua news agency reported. (Beijing's Xinhua state news organ reported?? About Nicaragua?!)"
What's happening with his relationship with wikileaks and Assange now that Ecuador is off?
Seems like Xinhua's got more info than the Guardian at the moment.
Article clearly states via its Moscow embassy
""Ortega also confirmed that his government had received a formal asylum request from Snowden via its embassy in Moscow.""
Why would Putin want to deny efforts to leave Russia when he has already stated it is best if Snowden does leave?

no fault codes.I think I looked at the pvc pic and jumped out the same way. two resistors for sure but this was on my Kawasaki
I am thinking after looking at the picture posted above of the plug they sell that I may be dealing with a male plug.
If so I could try & find the female counterpart or cut the one off the lambda sensor in such a way that I can reuse it
if I sell later with stock exhaust. ( leave some pigtails )
Will see how she goes when the FI controller gets here
Thanks again for the tips!
-
Ok looks like 330/ half or 1 watt is the value.
This thread looks like he used only one resistor though?
http://www.600rr.net/vb/showthread.php?t=184998
also jumping what pin to which pin? I see he claims black & white wires
Will have to look if I am the same as that is a cbr600 thread.
On yours you just shunted all pins by using 2 resistors?
-
I just pushed them in the original harness added some tape and no problem.I am thinking 330 ohms.
That sounds nice & easy just the way I like it
So you never got a CEL with your mod?
Thanks

I think as I said earlier what he has is or should be of main interest to US citizens
To powers such as China & Russia I am sure it is old news.
