  1. Nice. I was along side one yesterday and they're very nice machines... Also noticed the speedo only went up 160kph, so imagine a comfortable rea life top speed would be about 130kph?

As I wondered yesterday, and can now ask you, how much do they cost?

I payed 135.000 for mine, but mine has the original SR500 rims on it. 8600 km on the clock. No Greenbook, but invoice and tax paper. As long as you have the bike in your own name, tax payed and a 3 grade insurance, the police and BIB cant do anything to you anyway.

I know this, because a friend of mine has been stopped 3 times already up here in Khon Kaen on his Suzuki GXSR 750. Yes, they will try to get the tee money out of you, but just show them the paperwork on the bike (invoice and tax) and tell them to stop a pickup if they want money ;)

  2. Bang Saen Bike week exposed? Got message from Tommy. one of those who organize Bang Saen Bike Week. dam_n if this is true, if this is the case then is 3 hotel rooms for 2 nights gone to hell.

Thank you for letting us know this is just a few hours to departure from Khon Kaen .... NOT .... :realangry:

"Tommy Sriracha Bike. Week. Is. Change day to dec or jan.

  3. Easy rider: After 56 years and 700,000 miles it's finally time to sell my motorbike... for £40,000

    By Daily Mail Reporter

When Stuart Jenkinson paid £385 for his Vincent Black Prince motorcycle in 1955, he thought he would only keep it for a year before swapping it for a car.

But now, after a 56-year romance on the road that saw them travel more than 700,000 together, Mr Jenkinson, 83, is finally going to part with the bike he calls 'Vinnylonglegs'.

You will find rest of the story if you look at the photo...

  4. Thinking about buying a bike? Purchasing a used motorcycle is a great choice for the first-time bike owner, but it's important to choose wisely so you're not stuck with something you'll regret.

First off, don't show up to a test ride unprepared: bringing the proper safety gear will not only show the seller you're a responsible rider, it will protect you in case something goes wrong.

  6. Whilst out drinking one evening, with a few other Wannabe`s (in Thailand) we ended up at a local “karaoke bar” (a sort of Thai style wild west- saloon bar) over friendly loose women etc.

After a good couple of hours of “banter” and much liquid refreshment, I noticed one of the new Honda Prestige PCX sports scooter`s, sitting in the car park.

Just released by Honda, it`s a really stylish commuter bike, with the added bonus of a huge storage area under the seat, which can accommodate at least 10 cans of beer and a bag of ice cubes. I have this on good authority from a fellow Wannabe, who has one.

I got one PM from one of TV mods, after I linked to a motorcycle web here in Thailand, run by some foreigners at the TV Motorcycle forum:

    "Dear Dagling,

We do not allow links to websites, only forum advertisers are allowed to post links to websites.

    Regards

    XXXXXX "

So what do we think about this then?

  8. Victory Motorcycles has started a pilot program where the manufacturer is providing Harley-Davidson motorcycles to be test ridden back to back with various Victory Motorcycles.

In this video, DSJR70 from TheVOG.net gives his opinions after riding both a 2010 Harley-Davidson Dyna Wide Glide and a 2011 Victory Vegas.

  9. anybody know what carb brand and size is standard fitted on this model?

The brand of the carb is Mikuni the size may depend on the year. I think they changed it for the newer models. Not much help I know but if you want to order a new one, get it from a Kawasaki main dealer in Thailand as it's an Asian model.

BTW the boss is ridden by many farangs, it's so much better than the Phancy Phantom, I have a long list I could mention.

If the Phantom owners had tried out a Boss first, they would have never bought the Phantom. I loved my Boss and loved the fact that my friends and their Phantoms couldn't keep up with the smaller Boss.

175cc? Really? Come on gays, why not at least go for a 900cc? :jap:

  10. Years ago I rode from Ranong to Samut Prakan in a day in pouring rain all the way. Waterproofs failed after a bit, but was able to cruise at 120 on a 150 Phantom in the outside lane as all the pick-ups slowed right down or pulled over. I thought to meself, what's the point of 'em having those big 4x4s..?

    Rain just cleans your bike...

Crusing at 120 on a Phantom? In rain? Ha ha ha :jap:
