there's something wrong with your way of thinking. don't you believe that everyone should have the chance of a fair trial? do you think it's okay to just shoot so many down like a wild animal? killed also completely innocent people, and as far as I remember, some children and women ... let's say your son was in the wrong place at the wrong time during the war on drugs, and your beloved son was unlawful cold-bloodedly gunned down by the police. would you still give thaksin a medal? in my opinion, people like you are mentally ill ...

EV's and that continuing question of public safety..
motdaeng replied to transam's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
how many combustion engine vehicles catch fire per day here in thailand? is every fire hyped up by the media (and by you)? of course not, because it is daily business ... @transam you are not totally against EV's (do you believe yourself?), can you please publish also every ICE vehicle fire? thank you so much! -
i'm pretty sure there are several ways to check the real SoH of the ev car battery . one of these ways is by using a tool called the "Aviloo" test kit, which is commonly used in europe. https://aviloo.com/home-en.html The TÜV-certified AVILOO PREMIUM battery test provides you with information about the state of health of the drive battery of your electric or plug-in hybrid car. The state of health shows you which extractable energy (expressed in the so-called State of Health or SoH) you can still use for driving at the time of the test, in relation to the new state of the battery according to the manufacturer.

as nobody has responded yet, i'll give it a try. however, i only have basic knowledge about solar systems; other forum members are the experts. various projects are well-documented in this forum, and they have been very helpful in my decision-making process regarding a solar system! for references of an installer, please provide your location. why choose a 3-phase system? are there plans for future expansions? 3-phase systems can be more expensive for both house installation and the solar installation. you listed your energy consumption only for during the day. have you decided a hybrid system is out of question? what is your goal with the solar system? do you want to reduce electricity costs only, or do you aim to become more or less self-sufficient? how many hours do your air conditioners run per day? only in the summer or throughout the whole year the same? do you own an electric vehicle, or are you planning to buy one? how is the roof's orientation, slope, surface area? since it's not a DIY project, you should also expect costs in the range of few hundred thousand thb, even for a medium-sized system.

you forgot to add the price of the license plate ( กธ 9, maybe 500'000 thb or more ... )

i took a closer look at the BYD Seal at the motor show (march 2023). i really like its exterior, but i find the interior design to be overloaded ... it's a pity that the Seal is still not available in thailand and we do not have any information about the pricing yet ...

Installation of additional Panels
motdaeng replied to UWEB's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
the west-oriented solar panel will produce less electricity during midday compared to the south-oriented panels. depending on your system, this difference in production can negatively affect the overall energy output. I have only limited knowledge on this topic, and there are other forum members who can provide a more detailed explanation. to better understand the issue of varying (panel) energy production, you can watch a video about shading and its impact on solar panels: https://youtu.be/9GvhDhCSJgo -
only a small fraction of people are installing solar panels solely because of having an electric car. the primary motivation for going solar is to reduce the house-electrical bill. moreover, most solar systems generate surplus energy, which can be harnessed to charge an electric car. this surplus energy can essentially be considered as free electricity, providing an additional incentive for adopting solar power ...

if I remember correctly, on friday, the parliament (under pm thaksin's leadership) changed the law so that he could proceed with selling his company. by monday, the deal was completed!!! of course, some may argue that changing the law was not entirely selfless ...

The price war on EVs may harm interests of customers
motdaeng replied to Social Media's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
please educate yourself before making absolutely irrational claims. it appears that you know nothing at all about charging stations in thailand and the charging time of electric cars ... -
completely incorrect! in the northern region, there is an annual burning season accompanied by severe air pollution. before making baseless statements, please refer to the data from the past decade. it always astonishes me to see foreigners living in the north who are unaware of the significant issue of air pollution! https://www.thaipbsworld.com/thailands-causes-of-air-pollutions-slow-violence-and-its-possibilities-for-the-clean-air/

Can you imagine how long the lines would be at charge stations? if you are unable to charge at home, it is advisable not to purchase an electric vehicle (EV). in general, EV car owners living in bangkok may not need to rely on charging stations within the city. typically, you will only need to charge your car at a charging station during long road trips. eg. in my case, a couple of times a year for extended journeys. therefore, i am using a charging station only a few times throughout the year. if you frequently go for long road trips and prefer not to take a 30-minute break after every two hours of driving, there is a simple solution: do not buy an EV car.

sorry, it's not a price reduction for the volvo cx40 / c40, my bad. i made the mistake and didn't check all the information! however, the introduction of a very attractiv price option now appears somewhat strange. i think, some customers would have chosen the less powerful rear-wheel-drive model (because of this very big price difference, which really does not make any sense) if it had been offered ever since the xc40 recharge ev was introduced in thailand end of 2020 ...

the cx40 with a reduction of 700'000 thb!!! from 2'690'000 to 1'990'000 thb ... i believe that some customers who just purchased a new cx40 or c40 will be furious ...

i am sorry but it appears that you are unaware about the extrem air pollution in chiang rai. do yourself a favour and don't move to the north if you want to spend the entire year at your house due to the terrible air pollution!

@Bandersnatch , thank you for sharing your informations. over a year ago, i made the decision to purchase an electric car, hoping that there would soon be a variety of options to choose from here in thailand. right now, many models are available within the price range of under 1.5 million baht. however, if you're seeking a premium car with excellent performance, comfortable driving, good quality, and nice design for under 2.5 million baht, there are currently (in my opinion) only three models available in thailand: the volvo xc40, tesla model 3, and tesla model y. but for me, the interior and overall build quality of a tesla doesn't feel premium at all. the volvo xc40 is a great car, but you can see it was designed as an ice car and not as an electric car! it seems that i'll have to wait much longer than expected before I can own an electric car ...

the volvo ex30 appears to be an impressive car. even if it has a few features i don't particularly like, i'll put this car on my shortlist! i'm wondering if any of you have heard any updates or rumours regarding these cars' release dates or prices: - BYD Denza N7 - BYD Seal Lion - BYD Song L - Hyundai Ioniq 5 - Hyundai Ioniq 6 regards, motdaeng

unfortunately, many people share your viewpoint: if someone (thaksin) has done something good, then wrongdoing should be overlooked? and if much worse crimes of other in a similar scenario have not been punished, it is apparent that this "good" person (thaksin) must go unpunished? eg. a person has done a lot of good for society, but he has also raped a woman. Should he now be granted criminal impunity, with the excuse he has done a lot of good things and also that others have done crime but have never been charged? thaksin needs to serve his sentence, and hopefully others will be folloing. that would be a really good thing for the thai people / for the future of thailand ...

in some counties, you can order (online) the volvo ex 30 as of today ... presumably after the presentation. thailand's release date and prices will hopefully be announced shortly ...
