Covert Drug Operation Turns Violent: 15 Dead, 2 Million Pills Seized
motdaeng replied to webfact's topic in Chiang Rai News
i am no longer surprised that many aseannow members celebrate the extrajudicial killings of drug smugglers. so, in your view, are those who killed the 15 people not following the law and considered good people or heroes? do you wish to meet these killers and congratulate them with a handshake, saying "well done"? it would be much better news if they caught everyone alive, prosecuted them heavily, and tried to find out who the drug lords are. there are most likely some influential thai people (possibly also police and army) involved. these individuals are still free and do not care when a few low-life drug smugglers have been killed ... nothing has been achieved with the extrajudicial killings of these smugglers ... maybe it is worth to think about that! -

mixed land and house ownership, problems
motdaeng replied to jumbo's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
it might even be possible that the new landowner denies the houseowner any access to his "own house"! this is thailand, how knows ... it doesn't make sense to take this risk. -
it appears that a deal was struck: thaksin receives a reduced "pretend to be sick and stay at the hospital" arrangement in exchange for all generals and politicians involved in wrongdoing getting away with it ... win win situation for all of them! just as a reminder: thaksin also wasn't one single day in a prison cell! thaksin and the generals are the same ... no shame for betraying the normal people!

PM2.5 crisis first major test for Srettha’s government
motdaeng replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
ubon ratchathani experiences relatively good or acceptable air quality for approximately six months. the air quality in the far east might be somewhat better than in the north, but it remains far from being consistently good throughout most of the year ... -
yesterday, i had the opportunity to take a closer look at the ora 07 performance. inside and outside, the quality and materials are quite good. but the byd seal feels more luxurious. there wouldn't be much for me to consider regarding which car i prefer, it would be the byd seal any time ... in my opinion, the ora 07 is also more like a lady's car ....

we attended the motor show in march 2023. if the ongoing motor expo had featured the byd song L or byd sea lion 07, i would have traveled to bangkok (a round trip of 1,600 km). another reason for me to go would be if they announced the sale of the denza N7 or the avatar 11 / 12 for the next year! but they didn't, will wait for the moto expo 2024 ... the byd seal U looks nice, but i think the performance specifications (204 hp) are just too weak.

it depends on how you interpret the numbers. another way to look at it is that they've lost a significant number of customers who are now buying electric cars instead of choosing vehicles from brands like toyota or honda!

Electricity and fuel prices are expected to increase next year
motdaeng replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
you must see the whole thing in relation. an electricity price increase of about 16% means for low earners, with a monthly electricity bill of 300 to 500 baht, additional costs of 48 to 80 baht per month! btw, a lottery ticket costs 80 - 100 baht ... -

unexpectedly, PEA showed up at our house to let us know that there will be a 10-minute power outage. this interruption is due to the installation of a digital meter! anyway, it's not a issue for us since we don't have solar (yet). my previous disc meter had a capacity of 3 phases and 15 (45) A. the new digital meter is also 3 phases but with a capacity of 5 (100) A. i'm curious about the implications of this change. is having only 5 A instead of 15 A a cause for concern? should I consider reaching out to PEA to address this matter? thanks, motdaeng old disc meter: new digital meter:

using an electric car is different from using an internal combustion engine (ICE) car. if you cannot make a few adjustments to benefit from a battery electric vehicle (BEV), it's advisable to stick with your ICE car. BEV are not for everyone ... typically, a BEV user charges the car to around 95% at home. in thailand, long-distance trips are usually not a problem, this has been proven by so many EV owners. exception, maybe some waiting time on public holidays at popular areas would be the only inconvenience ... and if it's too much to take a 20-30 minute break on a long trip for charging every two hours, then electric cars may not be suitable for you. personally, i do at least one longer-distance trip (400 km) per month with two 20-minute breaks for restroom stops! depending on the car, charging on the road is not even necessary ... to assess whether an electric car is suitable for you or not, i recommend taking a test drive and gathering basic information only from BEV owners. this is a good way to determine if a BEV, given the current technology (which improves every year), is something worth considering for you ...

i think, in the next few years some bev brand will disappear ... only the profitable companies will survive!

tell me one government that does not subsidize or protect its own car industry in any way. please provide evidence that chinese cars would incur losses without government-sponsored support, similar to the losses ford is experiencing. it's clearly a problem for the ford company (and some others); why produce something if you cannot compete at all. will ford ask the goverment for help?

it seems, not only your timemaschine is faulty ... you should get yourself some time to recover ... all the best to you!
