  1. sorry for asking, but I couldn't find it in the broschure. is it 80% and not 70% ... like many other brands ... ?
  2. if you would like to have some basic knowledge about the byd seal, have take a look at these videos (available only in thai): https://youtu.be/yGtAORSKVjQ?si=EcimcGwKFeCdJNcg https://youtu.be/6hvm9vbKuqw?si=0teSB5PKrlXVjlU7
  3. thanks for the clearing answer, you are a real star, with a lot of bev knowlegde, good having people like you on this forum! it seems i was wrong, the task was far too challanging for you ... btw, we are talking here about bev in thailand, just as a hint ...
  4. could you please provide evidence that electric cars have to wait in line to charge their vehicles? it shouldn't be too challenging for you. thank you!
  5. who says that? by making that statement, you disqualifying yourself as a safe and intelligent driver!
  6. the new honda prologue looks much better ...
  7. the charching at BYD is for sure not for free ... my local BYD dealer told me it is 7.5 baht per kwh ...
  8. maybe yingluck could join the soap opera as his nurse ...
  9. well done, you really can be proud of yourself!
  10. it's important to consider the local environment and potential challenges like flooding when choosing an electric vehicle. fortunately, where i live, flooding isn't a concern; otherwise, i wouldn't consider buying an ev car! electric cars aren't suitable for everyone, as has been mentioned many times in this forum. people who prefer internal combustion engines should just stick with them — it's as simple as that!
  11. will he be remembered by the young people for doing a few good things, or will he be remembered as a corrupt criminal who had money and connections to get away with anything, and as someone who knew how to manipulate the people and the system? (of course he is not the only one, there are many more little thaksin's, eg kh prayut etc) it is a shame ...
  12. fair enough! i know thais who do not like the unequal treatment (for rich people) and thais who hate thaksin and his corrupt clan ... i would go as far as to say: thank thaksin and his corrupt clan, thailand wasted 9 years. thanks to thaksin, thailand will remain a corrupt country for many years to come. thanks to thaksin, every thai knows that if you have money and influence, you will be treated differently. thanks to thaksin, the poor remain poor, the rich become even wealthier (also through corruption). during thaksin's time as pm, he and his government had all the power to bring about real change for the benefit of the thai people. unfortunately, he became so greedy (and a narcist) and believed he was above the law, thinking he could do whatever he pleased.
  13. fair enough! i know thais who do not like the unequal treatment (for rich people) and thais who hate thaksin and his corrupt clan ...
  14. how many russians are happy with putin? how many germans were happy with hitler? and so on ... what are you trying to say? if people fall for a politician, does that mean they don't need to follow the law? or if a politician does something good for the own people, does that mean they don't need to follow the law? are you? by the way, politicians are voted in and well-paid to make decisions that benefit the people ... and not themself!
  15. every new development or innovation also brings negative side effects. mass production of electric cars has barely been around for 10 years, and in another 10 years, electromobility will have further evolved because the potential is just started to kick in ... perhaps in 20 years, there will be better alternatives to electric cars, who knows. but internal combustion engines (ICE) have no potential anymore and can hardly be the future solution. we all should know, pollution and noise make people sick (or dying) ... if you live in a bigger city (eg. chiang mai etc) you know what i mean ..
  16. some experienced electric vehicle owners have already explained to you several times that there's hardly a reason for a homeowner in a rural (as you described yourself) area not to own an ev. listing some of the negative points, as you did, makes you appear rather ludicrous. it also indicates that you haven't approached electromobility in a serious manner ... but ev cars aren't for everyone! and certainly not for people who aren't open to receiving arguments from experienced ev users ...
  17. the car has 2 driver seat memory settings, but as far as I know, it does not have driver mode setting memory, e.g., for temperature, air conditioning, radio, drive mode, regen mode, steering weel settings etc..
  18. thank you for sharing the video. there aren't many negative points to find for the byd seal! i would like having one pedal drive and driver setting memories. perhaps this could be add in the future through an over-the-air (OTA) update ...
  19. oh dear ... i am speechless ... how could she?
  20. yes, UK is going wild... btw: UK is not a good example for nearly anything, except maybe in football ...
  21. i am convinced that every electric car user is aware that the car also has some disadvantages. in any case, i have not found anyone who only speaks positively about BEV's. you imply that BEV owners want not acknowledge this and ev owners are blind ... criticism is good and welcome, but if possible, it should be supported by facts!
  22. Are you liable for debt even if your now back in your home country ? Cheers "Are you liable for debt even if your now back in your home country ?" of couse you are, it does not matter where you are! if the debt comes from a loan shark, you will be held responsible married or not married, and for sure they will also wait till you back to thailand ...
  23. Help is help however it comes. you're correct! in my opinion, a better approach would be to implement a price reduction solely for individuals who consume less than 150 units per month. i think this reduction should not be extended to the middle class, rich people or businesses, as they not need such financial assistance.
  24. is it not the industry and large consumers who benefit the most from the reduced electricity prices? the poor people might pay 50 to 100 baht less, which doesn't help the poor much ... i think, the poor people in the country need real support, not the middle class and the wealthy one! or am i mistaken in this view?
  25. is there no memory setting on the seal for different drivers?
