how many russians are happy with putin? how many germans were happy with hitler? and so on ... what are you trying to say? if people fall for a politician, does that mean they don't need to follow the law? or if a politician does something good for the own people, does that mean they don't need to follow the law? are you? by the way, politicians are voted in and well-paid to make decisions that benefit the people ... and not themself!

Thailand needs to calm down it's rush to EV !
motdaeng replied to TorquayFan's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
every new development or innovation also brings negative side effects. mass production of electric cars has barely been around for 10 years, and in another 10 years, electromobility will have further evolved because the potential is just started to kick in ... perhaps in 20 years, there will be better alternatives to electric cars, who knows. but internal combustion engines (ICE) have no potential anymore and can hardly be the future solution. we all should know, pollution and noise make people sick (or dying) ... if you live in a bigger city (eg. chiang mai etc) you know what i mean .. -
Thailand needs to calm down it's rush to EV !
motdaeng replied to TorquayFan's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
some experienced electric vehicle owners have already explained to you several times that there's hardly a reason for a homeowner in a rural (as you described yourself) area not to own an ev. listing some of the negative points, as you did, makes you appear rather ludicrous. it also indicates that you haven't approached electromobility in a serious manner ... but ev cars aren't for everyone! and certainly not for people who aren't open to receiving arguments from experienced ev users ... -
the car has 2 driver seat memory settings, but as far as I know, it does not have driver mode setting memory, e.g., for temperature, air conditioning, radio, drive mode, regen mode, steering weel settings etc..
-
thank you for sharing the video. there aren't many negative points to find for the byd seal! i would like having one pedal drive and driver setting memories. perhaps this could be add in the future through an over-the-air (OTA) update ...

i am convinced that every electric car user is aware that the car also has some disadvantages. in any case, i have not found anyone who only speaks positively about BEV's. you imply that BEV owners want not acknowledge this and ev owners are blind ... criticism is good and welcome, but if possible, it should be supported by facts!

ERC approves new tariff, reducing Thailand’s electricity costs
motdaeng replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Help is help however it comes. you're correct! in my opinion, a better approach would be to implement a price reduction solely for individuals who consume less than 150 units per month. i think this reduction should not be extended to the middle class, rich people or businesses, as they not need such financial assistance. -
ERC approves new tariff, reducing Thailand’s electricity costs

is it not the industry and large consumers who benefit the most from the reduced electricity prices? the poor people might pay 50 to 100 baht less, which doesn't help the poor much ... i think, the poor people in the country need real support, not the middle class and the wealthy one! or am i mistaken in this view? -
is there no memory setting on the seal for different drivers?

"Car PPF, or Paint Protection Film, is a transparent and thin layer of film applied to the exterior of a vehicle to protect its paint from stone chips, bug splatter, bird droppings, road tar, and other potential damages. PPF is often made of polyurethane or a similar material that is resistant to abrasions and impacts. The primary purpose of PPF is to provide an additional layer of defense for a vehicle's paint, helping maintain its appearance and resale value over time. It can be self-healing to a certain extent, meaning minor scratches and swirl marks can disappear with exposure to heat."

i know how that feels like! eg. when i ask (in thai) a shop staff about the price of an item, i often receive the unhelpful response "it's not expensive" ...
-
the offer in buriram appears quite promising. the cost being under 30k surprises me. however, be aware that paint protection film (PPF) can vary in terms of quality, lifespan, and guarantees. it seems like there's more homework to do ...
-
i'm considering using PPF due to stone chips, minor scratches, tree resin, etc. but choosing the right material / product (e.g. 3M) and finding a quality workshop in my area is a different matter. ceramic coating is not really an option for me ...

@vinny41 waht car are you driving?
-
many electric vehicle (EV) owners drive their vehicles extensively. but you think it is a terrible idea, did you ask one of this owner? who informed you that EVs are only worth 10% after 8 years? perhaps you are one of those people who claim that the battery needs to be replaced after 8 years, are you?
-
it seems that the UK having a lot of problems that other (eg. european) countries don't have! poor UK, EV's worsening the "pothole cricis"
-
people with no knowledge about electric vehicles keep coming up with new arguments against them. is it really too much to ask for them to inform themselves seriously instead of just making baseless claims?

after only 30 min, the housing (in the seeling) was already 60 grad celsius ...

i want to replace existing downlights (e27 led) in my suspended ceiling (with staycool 6 inch). during a brief test, i noticed that the housing (which will be in the ceiling) gets extremely hot. is this normal, are there alternatives? do other brands (eg phillips) have the same issue? thanks, motdaeng

i saw the car in space grey, but only in the showroom and not in daylight. it looks really great! the byd seal (in space grey) is at the top of my list. the car's price-performance ratio is hard to beat. but for now, i will wait with an order, it seems that several new bev will be arriving in the thai market in the next few months ...
