I thought the "granny charger" was just for emergencies? Is there a way to make the "granny charger" safe and you do not need a wall box? (12 h charging time overnight results in approx. 28 kw : 0.200 kw/km = 140 km range ...) -
price list is from february 2022 ... http://www.evat.or.th/attachments/view/?attach_id=259603 you already can buy a tesla in thailand (grey import) ... imho, tesla has the best software, but not the best cars!

i also thought PHEV is the way to go. but today i think BEV is the right decision for me. PHEV: - maintenance costs for 2 engines (ICE and electric) - limited range if driven only electrically - fuel consumption is high when the battery is empty (extra weight) - petrol is more expensive than electricity BEV: + we usually don't drive more than 50-80 km per day + i can charge the car at my home + but we also do every year road trips (up to 4'000 km). planning some charging stops is not an issue for me. we prefer to have a lot of breaks and we have plenty of time! + with a BEV it makes also sense to invest in solar or to install a TOU-meter (time of use-meter)

how many people have been injured after one hour wait? non! what they did after one hour they could do it also after 10 minutes, a controlled evacuation! i do not think, rain or a short walk to the main building would have hurt someone ... -

that is a good point! but how long did it take for leaving the aircraft? 40 min or longer? is there no possibility that after a crash the aircraft can catch fire? understandable, some people got into a "panic mode". i think, to get wet would be no issue for most of the passanger ... after this kind of incident, i personally would prefer to leave the aircraft safe and as soon as possible! -
i don't know what is holding hyundai back to bring more ev-models to thailand ... waiting since months for the ioniq 5! if you are into design, a great video about the very new hyundai ioniq 6:

sorry, i can't help you find a contractor. please note that using shera wood 8mm means additional weight to the construction of 12 kg/m2 ... (eg. 30 m2 = 360 kg) i would replace the old roof with an insulated sandwich roof panel. it looks good and it also helps reduce noise levels in heavy rain.

Is Chiang Rai a good place to live? ... Compared to Chiang Mai?
motdaeng replied to GammaGlobulin's topic in Chiang Rai
sorry to gammaglobulin ... you did not ask about the air quality but you asked about "better quality of life" ... @ lacessit, i agree with khunla, in chiang rai we have bad air for at least a few months. see data from gaia station in chiang rai! -
Is Chiang Rai a good place to live? ... Compared to Chiang Mai?
motdaeng replied to GammaGlobulin's topic in Chiang Rai
about chiang rai: this year the air quality was better compared to previous years. this manly because of the early and regular rain. who knows, next year it can be back to normal, extremely unhealthy air for a few weeks long ... for me personally: the PM2.5 under 10 μg/m3 is good air. All over 25 μg/m3 the air is bad and can be unhealthy. especially for children, older people and people with certain health problems ... @ lacessit: my view of the air quality in chiang rai is not so positive as yours, just because of one better year ...
