  1. another recognized expert is providing valuable insights into their experience/knowledge! would you please share your negative experiences with the volvo brand? have you ever own or driven a volvo? i believe that people associate volvo as a safe, premium vehicle that has distinguished itself in recent years through its quality, reliability, innovative design, and so on.
  2. if you want to be realistic it's your way to look at it ... other may see it differently ... as i do :-)
  3. a house solar installation is typically sized in such a way that on sunny days, there is an excess of electricity generated that cannot be utilized by appliances or battery, etc. this surplus energy is usually wasted if it cannot be fed back into the grid. instead of wasting this this "excess electricity", it can be used for free to charge eg. an electric vehicle. solar installations, as described above, do have this "excess electricity", whether they owner have an ev car or not. referring to this "excess power" as a free byproduct of the solar installation is certainly accurate in this context, the owner does not need invest anything extra to get this "excess electricity"!
  4. please provide information regarding the cause of the fire. as far as I am aware, the cause of this incident is still under investigation. however, according to the news reports, it appears that the main battery may not have been the cause of the fire. at the moment, you have started with a rather weak case number 1 ...
  5. was this ice car driving ...? https://thethaiger.com/news/central-thailand/nissan-sedan-catches-fire-at-prachin-buri-petrol-station-causing-alarm-2
  6. interesting numbers! how do you get the result 3.3 years? shouldn't it be 33.3 years? thanks for the clarification ...
  7. few months back, i was able to test drive the volvo cx40, and I really liked it. i was very curious about the ex30 but the car unfortunately has some aspects that i don't like so much. i'm aware that i have to accept some compromises ... what i like about the volvo ex30 is the design, quality, safety, performance, etc. however, the following points don't personally suit me: - no driving instrument display - no head-up display - glass roof without shading - performance car with mnc battery (lfp battery ony for the single motor) - small trunk, same frunk - no ventilated seats - no v2l (vehicle-to-load) nevertheless, the ex30 is still on my list, also the byd seal ... maybe a test drive can impress me enough to make a final decision ... i'm also not a fan of tesla, even though their software and fuel efficiency are excellent ...
  8. "Thaksin will be treated like any other regular prisoner ..." so, therefore, the VIP treatment he received in the last few days was just a misunderstanding ...? are other prisoners also allowed to ask for the same treatment ... ?
  9. we have cars that are 10 years old and have had first-class insurance from the beginning. for the past few years, we have been using roojai insurance ...
  10. internal combustion engine ...
  11. if you view it from a different perspective, the king reduced the sentence to 1 year. does that imply that the king also believes thaksin is a guilty criminal?
  12. most premium cars today are equipped with ventilated or air-conditioned seats, as well as heated features. eg: genesis gv70
  13. do the seats in your car have ventilation? on a hot day, after just a short ride with my current car, i already have a damp back! in a country like thailand, having ventilated seats would be a nice thing. relying on blasting the aircon at a very low temperature, which leaves everyone feeling chilly and uncomfortable, is not a very good solution ... when you're purchasing a premium car (2 million baht or more), would you expect having also ventilated (front) seats?
  14. my daughter is still waiting for the tablet that was promised ...
  15. nothing weird ablut that ... i contacted the government hospital because i would like to donate my organs in the event of my passing. unfortunately, there seems to be an age limit (50 ?). therefore, i have decided to donate my body to the medical school. i always carry my donation card with me ...
  16. why do you want to buy a hybrid? do you regularly do long daily road trips (300+ km) without breaks? electric cars aren't suitable for everyone. electric cars have many pros and also some cons. everyone should inform themselves to get basic knowledge before buying an electric car. from how you describe your situation, a battery electric vehicle (BEV) seems to be a perfect fit. assuming you live in a house and can have a wall box installed, your house (out in the village) will be ready for to charge your own BEV in half a day! (no nearby charging station is needed.) member "edwinchester" is a great example using an electric car ...
  17. the house price can vary within a wide range, based on the interior, the quality of materials, etc. i would say that 70k per sqm should be sufficient for a high standard of building quality. however, i would not include the following in this price: furniture, kitchen, bathroom fixtures, air conditioning systems, media systems, architect fees and charges ... and, in 5 years, material prices and labor costs could also be 5 - 10% higher as today ... an estimate of costs from a contractor will provide more specific figures ...
  18. where did i stated "drug dealers should be allowed to go free"? what's wrong with you? i wrote ".... everyone should have the chance of a fair trial ... "
  19. there's something wrong with your way of thinking. don't you believe that everyone should have the chance of a fair trial? do you think it's okay to just shoot so many down like a wild animal? killed also completely innocent people, and as far as I remember, some children and women ... let's say your son was in the wrong place at the wrong time during the war on drugs, and your beloved son was unlawful cold-bloodedly gunned down by the police. would you still give thaksin a medal? in my opinion, people like you are mentally ill ...
  20. how many combustion engine vehicles catch fire per day here in thailand? is every fire hyped up by the media (and by you)? of course not, because it is daily business ... @transam you are not totally against EV's (do you believe yourself?), can you please publish also every ICE vehicle fire? thank you so much!
  21. i'm pretty sure there are several ways to check the real SoH of the ev car battery . one of these ways is by using a tool called the "Aviloo" test kit, which is commonly used in europe. https://aviloo.com/home-en.html The TÜV-certified AVILOO PREMIUM battery test provides you with information about the state of health of the drive battery of your electric or plug-in hybrid car. The state of health shows you which extractable energy (expressed in the so-called State of Health or SoH) you can still use for driving at the time of the test, in relation to the new state of the battery according to the manufacturer.
  22. do you know the investigation results of the outbreak of the fire? could you please provide us with some information? to the best of my knowledge, the cause of the fire outbreak remains unclear! by the way, there was also a plane crash recently ...
  23. anywhere near battery change date ... that is a good one ... since when has an ev car a battery change date? can you tell us more please? you seems to know a lot about ev's ...
  24. as nobody has responded yet, i'll give it a try. however, i only have basic knowledge about solar systems; other forum members are the experts. various projects are well-documented in this forum, and they have been very helpful in my decision-making process regarding a solar system! for references of an installer, please provide your location. why choose a 3-phase system? are there plans for future expansions? 3-phase systems can be more expensive for both house installation and the solar installation. you listed your energy consumption only for during the day. have you decided a hybrid system is out of question? what is your goal with the solar system? do you want to reduce electricity costs only, or do you aim to become more or less self-sufficient? how many hours do your air conditioners run per day? only in the summer or throughout the whole year the same? do you own an electric vehicle, or are you planning to buy one? how is the roof's orientation, slope, surface area? since it's not a DIY project, you should also expect costs in the range of few hundred thousand thb, even for a medium-sized system.
