Just got back from the place now... 2400 for the rope operated blinds or 4100 for the handle with winding mech..
Looks like a good outfit with proper heat presses for doing the joining etc.
Think we will go with clear and a white border !!
Will update on the quality in due course... Fingers crossed
Where did you go?
On the by pass road, heading from Big C to Tesco. It is called P.U and is right after a place selling blue plastic drums (loads of them stacked up). Probably 5km from Big C on the left.

I saw a guy yesterday, weaving down the road because he was trying to keep his helmet from bouncing out of his basket !!!
Maybe the police should hand out free nets to cover baskets

Hello,
I am also looking for these rain blinds..
We are in Surat though.. Just had a rough quote from a local company at 2000-2500 per blind, again about 7.5 SQM..
I haven't seen the material yet but it does seem cheap compared to what you were quoted Peter ??
Just going to check a bigger store out now, so we can compare...

You don't want to have a good idea, your foot will fall off.
My brother had a good idea once to cut his toe nails with a scythe, his foot fell off !!!
Blackadder.. Only scythe connection I could come up with...

And another thread goes off topic
OP, we have 30+ rai in Chaiyaphum that we could rent to you.
It will be available in January. Includes a very large pond on site, not sure exact size as I've only seen pics..
I was out of country when my wife bought the plot but it is very fertile and water is not an issue.
Thanks

Off topic slightly but can someone shed some light on whether keeping chickens for your own eggs isnt allowed in Thailand?
My wife says its something to do with companies that sell eggs have somehow got a law through that stops the public from owning egg laying chickens?
Right or wrong?
Really !!!
I must invest in some camo netting then, just in case 'they' are watching....
To the OP, stop whinging... If you have ever kept any livestock you would realize the very small margins being worked around.
We just keep ducks and they don't even pay for their own food in eggs, but maybe that is because MIL sells them at 3 baht because she thinks they are small.. I need to sell at 4 baht just to cover feed...
But 4 baht for a chemical free, deep orange, tasty as hell duck egg ?? It' really priceless....

I built a duck pen from bamboo.. They love it..
Sh#% just falls straight between the gaps I left and gets hosed out...
If you sh#% a lot, can't beat it

if you like a chocolatey aroma, try Lom Huan coffee from Southern Thailand (Chumphon).
Its quite nice... and you can order by mail.
Do you have any contact details for this producer ?
I plan on visiting another place in Chumphon and might as well try a few..
Thanks

If you have a car, Xanadu is a nicelace with WiFi...
It was for sale though last year so not sure if it has changed ownership since ?

Good for air asia
I find it so anyone when people board planes with 3 4 or 5 bags
So annoying waiting for them to fill the over head bins and not
leaving me any room for my one little carry on bag
+1 recently had my netbook damaged in the overhead locker on an air asia flight when some idiot plonked a heavy case on top of my small backpack
Sounds like only 1 idiot.. The one not making sure their net book was protected..
How would anyone else know it was in your back pack
Next time keep it with you until everyone has jammed their <deleted> in the locker...

I have found a pressure/flow control device, EasyPress 1 in Bangkok, price is 2600.
Does this sound about right ? Still less than half the price quoted on the link about them in the U.K...
Cheers

Well I guess it just depends on pump rating...
We have another that pumps from our river more than twice the distance I require and the same height.
I would like to put the pump at the coffee shop though and not next to the well, so might have problem sucking water 40m horizontal as opposed to pushing it !!

Hi,
I am building an incubator to try to hatch some of our Khaki Campbell eggs.
Does anyone know where to purchase a digital temp/humidity gauge ? Estimate of cost too ?
Thanks

Interesting reading from everyone...
I have a couple of questions to add on the topic but 1st, why can't I upload photos from my IPad on here ? Below this reply box, the 'choose file' tab is not highlighted but the 'clear selection' and 'attach file' are !!
So now I will try to explain my situation without attaching a diagram
We have built a small coffee shop and toilet block. This buildings are on the same level, 25m apart.
Our well is situated 40m from the coffee shop, 3m below and is 7m deep. (water level is at about 4m).
Having read all this info plus other research, I am thinking that our best solution would be a pump and electronic control as Wimpy has, positioned next to the well. Will this provide enough pressure to a head of 4m at a distance of 40m+ ?
Initially I was going to install 2 tanks, pump water from the well to these and then use a Mitsubishi or similar WP type pump, but that seems to costly and complicated plus run the risk of the tanks being emptied and the WP pump running dry.
If I can work out how to upload a diagram, maybe that would explain the set up better, until then hope some advice is forth coming
Thanks

Hi Andy,
How did you get on with the Rhea ?
-
Any updates on this subject ?
I now have a good flock of Khaki Campbells, couple of Muskoveys for incubating and 3 geese for security
Would also like to get a few rarer breeds as we have a small coffee shop/restaurant and it would be nice for our customers to be able to see something different (not to eat)....
The 2 rabbits we had got munched by a dog whilst I was away, my fault for not building the pen walls high enough... Lesson learnt..
Info on different breeds would be good.. Prices/location etc

See Javel is like us, get hungry and go searching or just ask the 1st airport staff you meet
The food court here is much better than the swampy one...
No crowds and good clean outlets..
We will be back there on Thurs.. Not just for the food !

Well I thought a quick report on my WA adventure was needed...
2200 km completed with no major dramas and no kangaroo deaths
Caught a selection of small fishies, whiteing, herring, flatties and lots of big squid...
No massive predators so no pics attached !
Will be back in Donsak next week so will start the hunt for a good spot or 3, flat heads being the target I guess

Why don't they spend a bit more of their time checking out all the other night clubs.
Maybe for once they could do some thing preventative rather than reactive ??
Just a thought
