  1. Of course, now that Peskov and Zakharova have made statements, the DNC and the Biden Administration will shift from "Trump Is Hitler" to "Trump Is A Russian Agent And Putin's Best Friend." Then the next assassination attempt will probably be from someone who is Pro-Ukrainian and felt the need to stop "Trump Is Putin (who is Hitler and Stalin) before he has a chance to take office and "end the war in Ukraine." I don't expect the Trump-hate-speech to be dialed back very much. And now that the cat is out of the bag I sort of expect another attempt on his life as the US Secret Service seems to have serious security lapses and the "Trump Must Be Stopped At Any Cost" crowd now has a second chance to make a successful hit, especially now that "Trump Is Stalin!" Pretty da*m sad imho.
  2. Russia Blames Biden Administration for Atmosphere Leading to Trump Attack Well, yeah. "Trump Is Hitler; Trump Will End Democracy As We Know It; Trump Will Be A Dictator! Somebody Please!!! Do Something About Trump Before It's Too Late." And all the hatred and vitriol aimed at Trump ended with an assassination attempt on his life. That rhetoric has consequences and the people calling for "someone to do something about Trump" should be held accountable. If you didn't notice, the Biden Administration and the DNC just pulled all their negative "Trump Is Hitler" hate ads as there will no doubt be repercussions coming. Standby!
  3. Good to know. Thanks for the info.
  4. Get an International Driver's License before you leave.
  5. Ethnic cleansing Collateral damage at its finest.
  6. Works for me, but then I am a self-avowed conservative. No - not MAGA. No - not Republican. A conservative in the Classical Liberal sense which put me left of center 50 some-odd years ago.
  7. There are a whole lot of rural land outside of big cities.
  8. Have you ever attempted to find "sleeping pills" in Thailand. Next to impossible to obtain pentobarbital.
  9. Helium or Nitrogen will do the same if you can get an air-tight seal in an enclosed space. CO2 ain't a good way to go - hold your breath and find out. That horrible feeling that urges you to breath is a CO2 over-load in your body, not a lack of oxygen. As long as you can vent CO2 the oxygen deprivation will end a life without pain. So H or N works well.
  10. You can always PM the OP.
  11. A pubescent Kim Darby. I forgot about her. I really did have quite a boy-crush on her back in the late 50s / early 60s. She was about 4 years older than me so I found her budding breasts to be rather interesting when I was around 8 or 9 or 10ish, sorta before I was really aware why I found them so interesting. And I thought she was pretty cute too.
  12. Back a few years ago before they changed the financial requirement rules the IOs talked a lot of us guys married to Thai women to change over to Retirement extensions. After they change the financial rules I changed back and my IO was not a happy camper. "I do it this time but why you change to Retirement? I never do this again, blah blah blah." I loved that - "Why did you change to Retirement extension?" Because you asked me to change to a Retirement extension. Short memory. Yeah - a bit more paperwork but what the heck. It's not that big of a deal and I've done it so many times now that it's just the way I do extensions now. And I'm not tying up any more discretionary funds then I have to.
  13. I wonder how much is siphoned off into the pockets of private entities? Asking for a friend. 🤔
  14. Saw it in Seattle back in the day. Excellent.
  15. He turned his head before the bullet grazed his ear. Had he not turned his head it may have be a "head shot."
  16. Even the Secret Service: "An incident occurred the evening of July 13 at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania. The Secret Service has implemented protective measures and the former President is safe. This is now an active Secret Service investigation and further information will be released when available. — Anthony Guglielmi (@SecretSvcSpox) July 13, 2024" "An incident occurred..." Just an "incident." Nothing special. Move along. Nothing to see here. Um, errr, just speaking as a concerned US citizen - but - It was an ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT! "incident?" Time to fire those in the Secret Service responsible for ignoring the people in the crowd yelling about a "man on the roof with a gun" as well as those within the agency who see this as simply an "incident." As well as to address why the Biden White House has been ignoring the Trump Team's request for additionally Secret Service resources which will hopefully be addressed now.. Obviously there is some lax procedural flaws within the agency which need to be addressed before the next attempt on President Trump's life is successful.
  17. This is how main-stream news frames the assassination attempt on President Trump: CNN : "Trump Injured In Incident at Pennsylvania Rally." MSNBC: "Trump Rushed Offstage at Pennsylvania Rally by Secret Service After Loud Popping Noises Heard." The New York Times: "Trump Rushed Offstage After Chaos at Rally." It's amazing how the media's hatred of President Trump factors into their reporting bias. "Incident." "Loud Popping Noises." No big deal - move along. Nothing to see here. Probably a micro-meteor. Right!
  18. Speaking of Left-Wing Nutters: Lenin, Stalin, Pol Pot, et.al. Why stop at executing a few people - go for millions. "A single death is a tragedy, a million deaths is a statistic." -Joseph Stalin
  19. He loves using the term but he doesn't have a clue what it means other then it's a good term to use against people whom you hate and despise. Here Jingthing. Take 5 minutes and at least educate yourself as to what Fascism actually is as written by Mussolini and co-written by "the father of Fascism" Giovanni Gentile. "Anti-individualistic, the Fascist conception of life stresses the importance of the State and accepts the individual only in so far as his interests coincide with those of the State, which stands for the conscience and the universal, will of man as a historic entity (11). It is opposed to classical liberalism which arose as a reaction to absolutism and exhausted its historical function when the State became the expression of the conscience and will of the people. Liberalism denied the State in the name of the individual."1 Most of those you claim to be "fascist" are individuals whom value natural law and the right of individuals to enjoy "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness" as individuals. Fascism is not a doctrine of individualism. And in the ultimate of ironies, it's those who bandy the term "fascist" and claim to be "anti-fascist" who are themselves more aligned to the tenets of Classical Fascism then any "MAGA' supporter who you refer to as "fascists" or those of us who are classical liberals who value the individual above the State, where those like yourself want the State to intervene and control individuals who express individualism. What does this have to do with the Trump attempted assassination? In your mind and the mind of others like you - and most likely the shooter - Trump and all Trump followers are 'fascist." You are just using a highly charged term as a pejorative, i.e., you are name-calling. But? In reality most MAGA supporters are individualists, conservatives, and are the antithesis of Fascists. Many - especially independents like myself (although I'm not a MAGA supporter), hold to the tenets of Classical Liberalism2 as their guiding philosophy. Do you want to see a fascist? Find people who want the State to repress the rights of individuals. Which by the way is the opposite of what MAGA supporters want. Most MAGA supporters are individuals who want the State to stay out of their affairs. It's those on the Left, especially the progressive Left who want the State to crush those with whom they disagree. So Jingthing - use the term correctly. 1. THE DOCTRINE OF FASCISM, Benito Mussolini, Giovanni Gentile, 1932 2. Classical Liberalism, Encyclolpaedia Britannica, June 2024
  20. Rocky and Bullwinkle. Sky King Tarzan John Carter of Mars
  21. It's gonna be highly inflationary and the government will then turn around and raise taxes to offset the handout. As well it sets a precedent for politicians to promise voters a handout from the Thai treasury for votes. It should be illegal.
  22. I tried to talk my wife into letting me install solar. She wasn't interested. But I'm thinking that the increase in the electric bill might change her mind. At a minimum I'd like to put all the A/Cs on solar as they are the main electric consumers.
  23. Never heard of Go Wholesale.
  24. Not necessarily. I came here on a Non-B and then changed it to a Non-O based on marriage after I quit working. Did I right at the Immigration office.
