Just watched episode 7 of the current White Lotus. Whereas the first two seasons were witty and well acted, this, I thought, was utter garbage. Reminded me of those afternoon soap-operas my second ex-wife used to watch, where scene switched to scene monotonously following the latest "development" in someone's "relationship". The only characters who held my interest slightly were the three cougars who had a sexual itch without quite being able to admit it. But perhaps it was their tits (on plentiful show) that made me hesitate to call it quits..

Madame: I was attempting (obviously without success) to be slightly ironic in tone, because "$hithole" is the word Trump used in 2016 to describe these people who think they have the right to enter other countries illegally. A quite apposite word, I think. But also the article contains the phrase "self-deport" which does seem to me hilarious. Can you imagine some poor schmuck toddling off to the local immigration office and saying, "good morning, sir, I'd like to self-deport, if it's ok with you." One further point: most of us on this thread have probably entered Thailand legally and gone through all the necessary legal crapology to both enter and remain in the country. Why should illegals be treated with courtesy when they don't make this minimum legal effort required by most (all?) countries worldwide?
