  1. This is such a subjective question and varies widely for just about everyone. No real "wrong" or "right" answer for this. Therefore, I can only speak for me. I have a house that is paid off in Thailand so that does help a lot. For me, the minimum amount would be 70KTHB a month.
  2. Jomtien might be a good move for you. There is a lot going on there. If you end up not liking it, you can always move to somewhere else.
  3. Yes, this is the "most" correct answer and how things will most likely turn out.
  4. Maybe during this meeting they will form a committee to look further into this problem and formulate some solutions?
  5. That might work well for a few industries, but a lot of people can't really work from home.
  6. Don't worry about it. The level of support from GB is massively dwarfed by that of the USA. Now with Trump in office he will exceed anything Biden ever did in support of Israel. If GB ceases arms shipments to Israel, the USA will merely increase their commitment to Israel's defense.
  7. Yes, there are! There are other places to live on this planet that have much nicer air to breathe. If you choose to remain up north, that's on you. If you are seriously concerned about your health then leave.
  8. A very sad day for the USA and the world. The next four years will be very interesting.
  9. You could opt to move out of Thailand. That might help reduce the worries and frustration. Maybe even the pollution depending upon where you move to.
  10. Poor choice of a place to relieve oneself although Pattaya Bay isn't the cleanest place to begin with.
  11. If the poor air quality like this continues it could really start to affect tourism.
  12. Enjoy the cool temperatures. Summer will be here before you know it!
  13. I wonder if he engages in this same type of behaviour in his home country? I would venture to guess probably not. Yet he feels he can do that while in Thailand. Fine him and send him home.
  14. I would have to say that Thailand is just not as attractive as it used to be. This is keeping many people away and choosing other places to live, work, retire, and vacation at.
  15. I'm glad that they actually had enough flotation devices for all of the people on board. Back in the day you would be hard pressed to find any on the boat.
  16. To appear younger to employers who are looking to discard older employees for younger and cheaper workers. Happens a lot in the west.
  17. Another very sad death on Koh Tao. RIP to the young man and condolences to his mother, family, and friends.
  18. 10 years is a very long time to be kept in detention. I would think the Thai authorities would want to "get rid" of them as easily as possible. If their destination is Turkey, they should assist them in going there provided Turkey is willing to take them in. Why are the Thais refusing the UN to visit them?
  19. Hopefully the girl can live with a relative while her mother and stepdad spend a very long time in prison.
  20. After the age of 50, having a beard will just make you look older as does the four-day stubble look. I used to wear a beard for a number of years but shaved it off when I was about 33.
  21. A couple of knob ends! Give them a hefty fine and hopefully they get blacklisted.
  22. The author of this article seems to be geographically challenged claiming that North Korea is in SE Asia not once but twice. They also quoted the length of the Congo Penis at 7.05 and 6.83 inches on two separate occasions. Such sloppy reporting makes me question the validity of their claims.
  23. Form a committee! Form a Committee!! Which was probably done in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and I'll take a guess and say that they will form a committee in 2025 and probably 2026 as well! Not that anything will be achieved mind you, but it is what they do.
  24. It will take drastic action by the government to make the needed changes. I imagine that Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar also have similar agriculture practices. Would need those countries to get on board with this as well which might be a bit difficult.
