  1. Where in the article did it say 4 youths were killed?
  2. Mr. Annop, the alleged suspect in the murder of the police officer, will be in for a very difficult time while incarcerated.
  3. A very tragic accident. My condolences to the families of those whose loved ones were taken from them.
  4. A very tragic accident that could have been prevented if proper safety precautions were taken. Unfortunately, this is far too often overlooked in Thailand.
  5. The 15-year-olds need to be locked up until they turn 18. Ton, the 18-year-old, should get a much harsher penalty.
  6. These are just a few that I never grow tired of watching. The Killing Fields Heaven & Earth Seven Years in Tibet Forrest Gump Good Fellas The Great Escape
  7. You can use a property management company to handle all of that if you don't want to deal with it. They charge a fee but takes a lot of the headache out of it. You could also invest the money, like a CD or something similar in your home country, and use the interest accumulated from that to finance your stay in Thailand. Lots of options!
  8. Yikes! That's a scary looking group. I'm glad that they are off the coconut beach walk.
  9. You just have to act crazier than them. Come out dressed in all black, with white cream all over your face acting like a Thai ghost. That might scare them off. The opera music someone suggested might be a nice touch too if played quite loudly.
  10. I wonder where the man she was with disappeared to? Perhaps he decided this was the break he needed and took a quick trip down to Soi 6.
  11. Having road signs in Thai............in Thailand. Who would have thought there would be anything different?
  12. First off, don't buy a condo in Thailand. Makes it a lot easier to move once some noisy neighbors move in near you. You would be better off investing the money you would spend on buying a condo in your home country where you get a fairly good return. Then use that money to pay your rent or at least cover a significant portion of the rent. Maybe then you will have more than 20K baht a month to live on.
  13. I wonder if Steve Urkel was the one firing the gun that brought the plane down followed by his signature line, "Did I do that?"
  14. When I read the headline, I initially thought it was a group of Hash House Harriers on the flight. It appears that is not the case.
  15. I bet they were by far, as a group, the worst tippers as well.
  16. All three will be guests of the Thai government for a very long time. Don't drop the soap!
  17. No, I never flaunt even the slightest appearance of wealth in Thailand or in my home country. It can just invite unwanted attention.
  18. I guess he was still young at heart right up to the very end. RIP
  19. She should run for the California Governor position. It's clear that the Democrats didn't want her to be their Democrat choice in 2020 and that the American people rejected her in 2024.
  20. A scary looking group of over the hill slappers. No thanks!
  21. I know of two Thai pilots that are currently employed by a major middle eastern airline company. One had been a Captain with Thai Airways for more than 20 years. Both were educated abroad for both high school and then university prior to attending a commercial pilot school abroad.
  22. Kind of odd that they list the full names of the foreign people that have been arrested but only list the first name of the Thais that have been detained.
  23. Your statement is not 100% correct. For public universities in the US, students, whether they are international students or out of state students, they both pay a much higher rate than students from that state that the university is located in. An example would be a US citizen from New York decides to go to a public university in Colorado. That New York student would have to pay the out of state tuition. The international student, who is obviously out of state, would also pay the same tuition amount as the US citizen from New York to attend the same university in Colorado.
  24. Come to think of it, that is the gate I always enter (Feung Fah Gate 6 ประตู 6 สวนหลวง ร.9) from Chalerm Prakiat Soi 39.
  25. It was probably just crowded because it was a Sunday and the flower show that is going on. The flower show is every year around this time. It will probably end in about another week. I never park a car there as I usually just ride my bike there and cycle a few laps around the area where bikes are permitted. Then over to Nong Bon Park for a few more laps. Nong Bon is nice because there is a lot of shade. I always enter off of Chalerm Prakiat. Whether cycling or just walking in no one has ever asked for a fee to enter nor I have seen anyone paying anywhere. Maybe that is on the other side of the park off of Srinagarindra Rd.?
