  1. I have experimented a bit between 95 gasohol and benzin, but at the end I get no better mileage or HP, so now I just use gasohol.

However, since I leave and park my car 2 month at the time, I do fill the last tank with gasoline, to avoid any corrosion from the water in the gasohol.

you cannot mix water with motor spirit, it is probably condensation from a half empty/fulll tank

Errrr ethanol blended fuels (gasohol) are hygroscopic. If there is any moisture/condensation in the tank it will be absorbed by the fuel.

  2. Getting a CC from K bank was about as much fun as walking across a bed of hot coals what with the 7 or 8 visits to the bank and innumerable calls to the customer service center. I was able to finally get one for both me and the wife without a WP by putting 50K THB in a fixed account.

While I'm OK to leave the fixed deposit with them if I wanted to move it for any reason I think I'd simply try to get an automatic CC payment set up linked to my savings account. I can't imagine why that wouldn't work.

    Really ?

I went twice. first time to drop off the required paperwork and the second to sign for my card, maybe unsecured cards are easier to obtain.

  3. A vibration is a vibration. if your are implying that I interpret a noise for a vibration you really need to start barking up another tree as iam not the idiot you are implying Iam.

the "vibration" was there from the get go and still there after the subsequent book services...... the give a shit factor is low though as it a cheap mode of transport and is considered as such.

the rattles from the front end/head light plastics drives me nuts though.

  4. 125 is a fair bit bigger than the 110.

That's just the fairing; an important structural difference instead is the introduction of a rear axle swing arm, as opposed to transmission casing support only.

No it is not just the fairing.

on the 110 I can sit with both feet flat footed. on the 125 I cannot.

  5. Call Bubi at Thai Hot Rod (he is out on the 36) 0813403184, he will sandblast furniture.

    Hi Spoonman,

Have called Bubi, and he quotes between 1.500 and 2.000 Baht per chair. My wife nearly fainted.

Thanks anyway, and for others that might be interested a good tip.

    Yermanee wai.gif

you are already 1.5 days into sanding a single chair and it is still not done to a suitable level and by your own admission you cannot get into the nooks and crannies.

Spend the coin on getting it blasted or be happy with the <deleted> result from sanding.

    Up to you.

    Wow did I hit a nerve ?

I did thank you and I did say the nooks and crannies slowed the sanding process but I didn't say I couldn't get into them.

Anyway I've just finished the second chair and I can tell you it's not a shit result as a matter of fact they look gorgeous.

    Yermanee wai.gif

    wow you can work quick.

1.5 days to partially finish one chair and then go asking for sandblasters yet a day later you have 2 completely done.

    awesome stuff.

  6. allan. what fuel are you using ?

from my SR thread you know I had issues and purchased new coil/cdi/rectifier but to no avail.

I put 95 benzine in it for the run the Ban Seang on the weekend and it ran fine. Because of small tank I had to fill up to come home and all I could find was gasahol and the "miss" returned.

  7. Yet another fascinating revelation from swissie on yet another subject that

he knows absolutely nothing about, what a jerk.gif

I will try to make it as simple as I possibly can:

"Buy low and sell high". This magic formula goes for currencies. potatoes, Pork-Bellies and cucumbers if you will.

Of course, as rumor has it, some sophisticated Farang Investors have bought "high" and now selling for "low" around Phuket. I am confident, that you are not one of them.

    Cheers.

Buy low sell high, what an interesting concept. Do you have a newsletter I could subscribe to ?

  8. I thought mine @ Bt.3800 to be a reasonable price.

Mine is the same, I paid 3100 baht. Catalogue special. Thai Watsadu do have specials. I bought a 7" Makita angle grind there the other week which was a thousand cheaper than anywhere else. They have 4" Hitachi angle grinders at the mo for 1100 baht. I paid 1990 baht for the same at Thai Watsadu in Phitsanulok 18 months ago. You win some and you loose some!

Hardware House house has 4" Hitachi grinders for Bt.919 at the moment.

  9. I piggy back an outlet from the light circuit as I found an outlet in my box of bits. was quicker than a hard wire and simply plugged fan into it.

What is thai for "Fan Only"...... would hate for someone to plug into a non "Fan Only" GPO and become dead...although they would need a 7 ft ladder to do so after they ignored the 4 other GPO's nearby.
