works for me , a simple guy.....

and do you now just say "Seven" even when you are at home ?

  2. is there a name on the machine so we can look it up on other websites ?

what do they cost in Thailand ?

I assume www.biogents-thailand.com. is just an agent and does not make them , are they available in the USA ?

    thanks for the info

  3. When the yellow shirts took over the airport years ago I waited a few days and then had to make a decision.....

No flights were leaving from BKK so I took the Train to Hat Yai and a bus to KL......then got a flight......

so there are other ways , but at that time Thais had no reason to leave BKK , it was only Tourists that were stuck ,

But if "S" hits the fan , everyone including Thais will want to leave and that will be impossible ,

Best bet is have a few days food and water in your room and enough cash in Baht and US$ to get out , expecting ATMs to not work or be empty.

I doubt BKK will ever be Syria so that is not a problem and the last few times the trouble has been in only a few areas.

I would not really worry about it , but if you have to get back to work or else then you might want to plan your trip to give you an extra day or 2 at the end to get home.....

odds are 1000 to 1 that you will have any problems with the Coup.......

  4. I know nothing.....

but its not going to happen , same as all the rest of the corruption they say they want to stop ,

nice to make rules but there is no one to enforce them , and the bride money is much more than the wages,

And if they did enforce ALL laws and not get bribes then no shopping for "brand name" items, no food street stalls , traffic would be much worse if you had to obey all traffic laws etc

    no going to happen.......ever

  5. Hi

    I know nothing about them......

I want to put a couple IP security cameras up that will have motion detection , these will be in my back yard and side yards ,

when they get triggered they send me a text or email ,

But how do I hook them up and power them ?

maybe for a month at a time when I am in BKK !

Do I run a Cat 5 cable from the camera to my router ? Or can I get WiFi ones ?

do they also have audio ? and can I "call back" the camera and YELL at the bad guys ?

or set up an alarm I can trigger from my phone ?

And I need to find a way so that they will not be triggered by the opposums , racoons , cats , squirrels etc

I am a target now as the thieves have hit me a few times and always seem to get something ,

I would love to catch them or at least scare them away ,

It is for my house in the USA if that matters

any ideas what you did that worked or did not work would help

Thanks and stay safe with the Coup,........hopefully will be there in a month

  6. a rice cooker is $10 at Walmart , an Iron $10 and a blender $20.......or a couple bucks each at a yard sale

maybe add a sandwich maker/ toaster and a toaster oven to cook pizzas and you are still less than a $100

if you want to bring anything bring the Thai spices you like , 15 baht spice packs from tesco

  7. thanks for the http://tokaisolidtire.com/wheels-rims/# link

any other companies that make rims ?

if they make a 16 x 6 rim I am sure they can drill it the proper 8 bolt pattern as long as there is enough material to machine

maybe even an alloy rim the correct size,

they are $45 US each to buy them in Texas , but shipping is high if airmail and a long time if by sea ,

yeah if we do another one we will use local made hubs and rims ,

but we are stuck with what we started here so need to get it done ,

    again thanks for your ideas.....

  8. If you get into a brands other than the "big 3" American brands, the spacing between the lugs might be different. So you need to know that your axle is the same as American as are the wheels. Just seeing 8 lugs is not enough.

Do you have your axle yet? ..........

the bolt pattern spacing is 6.5 inches ,

we do have the axles but never thought about the wheel bolt pattern until they arrived and then it was an " ohh SHT" moment ,

So hoping there is something closer than from America !

  9. The unemployment rate in Australia at the moment is 879000 people on new start and 824000 on disability pensions, these are the registered unemployed it does not take into consideration those unregistered ,on youth allowance the single mothers pensions or those who looking for work but do not qualify due to the assets test, so the figure of 5.5% is a furphy and don't believe for a moment it is going to get better any time soon.

in the USA the BS unemployment rate does not include those who are not looking for work that week ,

so if you gave up looking you are not in the official stats , still do not have a job but are not "unemployed"

and then there is the under employed working at fast food jobs with 20 to 30 years at a "real" job before being let go.....

  10. Hi

I need help finding some wheels for a trailer , and I do not see the 8 lug bolt pattern being used in Thailand,

but maybe I missed what they were fitted to in Thailand , or nearby Burma, Malaysia etc

stock take offs would be great, or aluminum rims

    16 x 6 , 8 lug pattern

back spacing is 3 1/2 inches

if you have them or know what pick up or van they would have come on please let me know

I hate to spend the money to bring them from the USA if they are available in Thailand

We need at least 4 now but an extra spare or 2 will also be needed

    thanks for your help

  11. What is work ????

If I go to Bo Bae and have some shirts made to sell at home is that working ?

if I buy them off a street stall is that working ?

the first one is hiring a Thai to do something , the 2nd is just buying something like going to Tesco

I think there is a lot of grey area......

and what about all the exhibitors at trade shows at Bitec etc , do they need a work permit if they work the companies booth at a trade show ?

I have no idea , but I would never admit I "worked" if I was on a tourist visa

  12. no hot water to clean dishes, glasses , knives and spoons etc.....

no place to wash your hands after picking your nose ,

no icebox to put meat and veggies in ,

and on and on and on .......

yeah I do get sick pretty easy and only having a few weeks vacation i am not a adventerous eater....

and just because the Locals do not get sick ( how do you really know ? ) I am not going to chance it

as they say ....Up to You

  13. I think it is hard to find a product that is yours and not everyone can sell cheaply,

If you look at some of the listings from china the price is very low and they also get cheap post office shipping,

We are trying to make some unique items ourselves , but really if they sold well it would only be a matter of time before someone would copy our idea......

So be a moving target , get in, make profit ( do not buy too many) and get out to the next thing.....

have a list of projects that you think will work , hand make some prototypes to sit on your desk and look at , plus work on the sales brochure if you do decide to make them.....

But its not as easy as everyone thinks , and its hard work....but I love it :)
