  1. If it is an April fools joke, it is totally irresponsible to post it. A lot of people will read and believe this. No I have not had a sense of humour breakdown.

If anyone reads and believes this, then, they should not be allowed out on their own.

    sad but true.

I think it is great news. I am really not comfortable wearing a helmet and since I lost my car after my sat-nav told me to drive it into a lake I am having to use my motorbike far more often.

Please wear a life jacket when out on bike.

  2. I have dated quite a few Muslim girls, here, Indonesia, and Malaysia. Let me tell you - they are not as innocent as you think. A few were out and out sex maniacs, 1 was a virgin (aged 30) but we soon sorted that out.

Start out respectful to win her trust, after a week or two in every case in my experience, it has been anything goes. All will be strictly hidden from the family, if you want to go on holiday together she will have to lie to them. Some are OK with this, others not.

Meeting the family is a huge deal, and means she is very serious.

Most of the Muslim girls I have dated stuck to only 2 Islamic laws, no pork and praying about 20 times a day. The rest of it is 'up to you'!

Have been in the same position as you and agree, they are no differant sexually from anyone else. What you need to assertain is will you have to convert and get the snip ( ouch (

  3. if true another silly old man who should know better and thought more with his brain than his dick

I am not one to normally jump on the hang em high bandwagon but sexually assaulting a 12 year old girl is a little bit more than silly if, as you qualify, he is actually guilty. Whereas there are certain 'encounters' here which some may call questionable for any number of reasons such as faked ID and the occasional difficulty of identifying the age of some women this is not one of them.

Who placed this child in such a position ? who took her virginity ? there are more people here to persue but I guess that will be forgotten/

  4. The Thai gov can't even get enough blankets to the people who live in the mountains. No way they are going to relocate 2 million of them. And even if they did, those same people would just destroy the new area they are in.

    Dream on.

Why do they need blankets? What did they do before there was a magnanimous government to hand out blankets. Those folks were doing just fine by being left alone.

The blankets were just a scam for stealing money, many being sold on by coorupt officials.

  5. The Dems spent their time in power spreading hatred & vitriol. They stupidly vilified the most popular man in the country to their own detriment. Not one second of their stolen power was used to reconcile differences or make amends for the injustice they played a leading role in creating. Now they are hindering any attempts by the current, elected government to make progress. Even after their narrow minded tactics led to their humiliating trouncing at the polls they continue with their pig-headed, single-mindedness. Their grave is getting mighty deep; keep digging.

So you are saying there should be no resistance from any faction to Thaksin's reemergence?

He should never have been removed. He has been unable to set foot in his own country for several years. He has been slandered and defamed on a daily basis. He has had 46 billion baht confiscated. So the answer to your question is undoubtedly YES.

Just to comment on a few of your facts :-

I wouldn't agree that Thaksin is "the most popular man in the country", there is a far-more-deserving person, isn't there ?

I'd also point out that he was here for some months in 2008, and is only now absent by his own choice, so it's mistaken to try to claim that "he has been unable to set foot in his own country for several years".

Anyway he is allegedly (by his own claims) also a citizen of of Montenegro & Uganda & Nicaragua too, so define "his own country" !

How did the Dems play a leading role "in creating injustice", before even coming to power, do you wish to claim that they were somehow behind the 2006-coup, or the military-appointed interim-government, or the PPP-led coalition in-power when the one court-case was concluded ?

The Dems, whilst in government, were never as effective IMO as the the Red-Shirts, at "spreading hatred and vitriol", and unfortunately the propaganda-machine still rolls on after the election, this cannot help achieve reconciliation, can it ?

Lastly, wouldn't you agree that part of the money previously frozen or confiscated, by the courts has now been returned, rightly or wrongly ?

What a crock bird, do you farm up country by any chance ?

  6. Agree or disagree, the fact remains that this guy speaks for probably the single largest political constituency in the country. Those opposed can denigrate, besmirch and disparage his comments all they want, but they speak from an electoral minority position. Conversely, respecting these perspectives and this political block, would probably be the best starting point to any "reconciliation" process. Easier said then done, when a sense of political inequality by some, is pervasive to their very core. It is just another reason why "Reconciliation" is 'stillborn' as a valid political exercise.

    Go wash your mouth out.

  7. It is sad, of course. But when is Thailand going to grow up regarding passenger and car safety.

I worked in the car industry for 20 years, as a chief designer and safety consultant.

I will advise that these Isuzu pick up trucks, we all know them, are incredibly unsafe in crash situations. The front cab, and rear stowage space are two separate entities, not linked in any structural format way, apart from being seated on a long chassis which will twist and crumple unaccordingly to any impact; front, rear or side impact, and the cab has no strengthening struts whatsoever.

The Toyota vans are made of inferior steels, as are the Isuzus, and have no chance of sustaining impact which pertains to console safety.

Added to that, and until these matters of construction are made illegal, when will Thai authorities realise that 264 people in the back of a truck is a huge safety issue? Would it be seen in the west? - NO WAY! You'd be stopped 100m down the road!

The manufacturers put a big 3.0Ltr engine in these fatal traps, and away you go - no problems..... so they think!

I saw a scrape in a garage, filling station, where at 5mph a Nissan was scraped by an Isuzu 4x4. The Nissan was untouched, but the Isuzu was crumpled to pieces all along one side. It made me shudder, as once the paperwork had been exchanged, 10 got into the Isuzu and off he went, like a cheetah chasing a gazelle.

Until Thailand realises that FMVSS and Euro-Ncap are standards for specific reasons, i.e. passenger safety, we will continue to read about these sad losses.

Thailand needs to create its own crash, safety, and occupant laws to reduce or eliminate such crashes as these. However, they just don't have the knowledge, nor seem to want it - as in most other areas of safety.

    How sad! sad.png

    -mel.

Thailand could not organise a piss up in a brewery.

  8. Hi guys I asked this question once before and now again. I live in Dusit house land 7 hua hin and six months ago the police visited all houses in the area rented by farangs asking to see passport and take a photo of inhabitants they claimed it was so they could idetify us if ever we had a problem, being highly suspicious of the local BIB I doubted this very much, nobody could come up with an answer why they did this. Today they are making their rounds again passport and photo. I suspect it maybe tied in with imigration see if the farangs live where they claim to or maybe for tax reasons from the owners of the propeerties what I do not believe is the BIB want to help us anyone any ideas.?
