  1. This is quite common in Thailand. Nothing writing home about.
  2. Right. Let's hear about it again when flights are scheduled. How long does that usually take from the date the MOU (memory of understanding) to order the planes is signed?
  3. I meant to post something about an IT fiasco in another government agency, too, but refrained because I didn't want to go off topic. AseanNow has a forum dedicated to IT, I believe, and perhaps a member more knowledge than I about this field coud start a topic there where we could relate the good and the bad we hear and see about the execution of Thailand's e-government.
  4. A splendid example of Thai e-government, I should think.
  5. Does Thai law allow class action suits?
  6. As Thailand uses metric measures, I doubt very much that there was ever any law mentioning that "2oz" was legal.
  7. If with gms you mean g (grammes, US English: grams), with my bodyweight of 62 kg (kilogrammes), 5 g of alcohol per kg bodyweight would be 310 g alcohol. With a typical alcohol density of 0.789 g/mL (gramme per millilitre), this is 392 mL. The red wine of which I drank 250 mL with dinner last night contains 14.5% alcohol, ie I consumed 36.25 mL alcohol. If I got the calculation right, that's 9.25% of the potentially lethal dose of 5 g per kg bodyweight you mentioned.
  8. Thank you In what language is sevell elewel?
  9. What do you mean with "not open every time"? Do you sometimes get an error message and if so, what message?
  10. Wrong thinking. Your calling it a pandemic does not make it a pandemic.
  11. You forgot to post the link. Here it is: https://www.standard.co.uk/news/education/toddler-suspended-transphobia-nursery-b1219768.html
  12. I can't understand why a father refers to his child of mixed race as "Lok khreung".
  13. I tried to get a Google translation of that. Google detected that it was in Mizo language but managed to translate only one word: chu = that's
  14. From: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://x.com/juth/status/1826282689252712553%23:~:text%3D%40juth-,Typically%2C%20the%20abbreviation%20%22CF%22%20that%20Thai%20people%20use%20stands,means%20we%20are%20ordering%20it.&ved=2ahUKEwivudDMgfmNAxXJ-AIHHWQaMr4QgMkKegQIGxAE&usg=AOvVaw0oau6g0gFSolglziVYQgW4 «Typically, the abbreviation "CF" that Thai people use stands for "Confirm." It's commonly used in online shopping. For example, if a product is posted, we would comment "CF," which means we are ordering it.»
  15. It's ae pity you didn't add an English translation to "Pom mai dai pen farang, chu Kuhn John"
  16. I see no mask in the photo, but a person, presumably an Islamic woman, clothed in a style that covers the hair and face.
  17. I'd say the lady wearing a nurse's uniform, ie the person in front of the other two people in the photo.
  18. Why do you say guys? This news story is about a woman being scammed by a person presenting itself as another woman.
  19. Consider the possibility that the photo was not taken yesterday, but years or decades ago.
  20. This type of ad always intrigues me. Could you please post a screenshot? I'd like to play around with it.
  21. BBL is the symbol for Bangkok Bank Limited on the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET). It is akin to using MSFT for Microsoft Corporation. Stock symbols, aka ticker symbols, are best avoided outside stock investment forums.
  22. I feel discriminated. Never have I seen a TAT campaign specifically designed to coax heterosexual tourists to visit Thailand.
  23. Both Trump and Musk knew from the outset that Musk could be employed as "an unpaid special government employee" for a maximum of 130 days. Source: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c23vkd57471o Source: https://www.euronews.com/2025/04/03/as-his-employment-limit-nears-elon-musk-could-be-leaving-doge-soon Earlier, I read somewhere — forgot where — that subsequently, part-time employment is allowed for a limited period, forgot how long and can't find a source for it now. Musk was quoted as mentioning the 130-limit only yesterday, https://www.cbsnews.com/news/elon-musk-on-doge-trump-administration-and-responsibility-for-cuts/ Trump apparently never mentioned it.
