  1. I have two sets of lights ("A" and "B" which I would like to control from two different locations in the condo. In each location there should be for each set an on/off switch + a dimmer:

Since there are two sets of controls per set of lights, how do I select which set of switches is the "master", that is, determines the actual light strength?

If I'm sitting at Location 1 I want the controls there ( switch + dimmer ) to be the master. Likewise when I'm at location 2.

I tried explaining what I want to a Thai electrician but he kept saying this isnt viable.

    Would appreciate suggestions.

    Cheers

  2. Why is anyone surprised.

There is a reason that the cash (bill) exchange rate is lower than the TT rate and it is because the world has gone digital and anything that requires handling is going to incur higher charges, whether it be currency bills or Travelers checks

The issue isnt with higher processing fees (if at all), but with the 460% increase. Surely processing costs havent quadrapuled during the last 12 months.

  3. Hi

My condo shower room has no outside window, so it quickly gets hot & steamy in there.

I'm thinking of installing a vent to push the steam outside, but where should it be directed to?

The layout of the condo is as follows:

Option 1: direct the steam back into the condo(kitchen area/living area): this seems like a bad option

Option 2: ask the builder to install a pipe to the outside cavity which houses the water & electricity meters. possibly lots of dusts or insects entering?

Option 3: run a pipe from shower room above the ceiling in the living room to the balcony. that's probably 4m in length. not sure if the vent will be effective in pushing the hot air all that way.

Would appreciate suggestions what's the best solution.

    Cheers

  4. Scorpion Doors near the corner of 3rd Rd and Klang have some quite good ones in many styles. They are metal security doors so you have the added benefit of proper locks etc. http://scorpiondoors.com

I dont think your door is necessarily hollow as my solid wood door also lets in the noise of people passing on occasions. I'm towards the far end of the corridor and it's very rare so I've never bothered actually changing the door. I just put some draft excluding foam from a DIY store around the frame and that was good enough.

    Tnx.

Could you please post a photo of how it looks like? so you've basically glued foam around the door frame?

Is it possible to buy the mentioned rubber seal as an add-on to an existing door?

    Cheers

  5. They have got some good deals in the "extended" moving sale. I bought a big leather L shape sofa 50% off. Our new neighbor completely furnished his house for nearly half his budget.

They seem to just keep bringing more stuff in every day, either from other shops or a warehouse.

So is the "old" store (across suk. road) still open? I thought it was closed down
