There is a pedestrian overpass in front of the Morchit 2 bus station. Can you please return and post here, once you have determined the actual length/time of the walk ? I too have wondered about that.

If you have found that they don't know the guesthouse by name, I would simply omit it. Sometimes fewer words provide more success.

1 slight error; you only need 1 photo.

Yes, you will void your visa if you do not get a re-entry permit. Conversely, getting one keeps your visa alive. It doesn't matter when you get the re-entry permit in relation to your departure date. It is only valid for the duration of your current visa. Yes, you can get one at Jomtien; you need 2 photos and B 1000, and your passport of course.

I have no particular opinion on Elon Musk, but think he should be given the benefit of the doubt. He was in China a day or two ago, so thought he would come down to Thailand while he was relatively nearby.

Check with Ramkhamhaeng Univ. in Bangkok. No personal experience, but 10 yrs.ago, a then colleague did something there.

If that question is directed to me....At the risk of stating the obvious;a single entry Re-entry Permit can only be used once. However, there is nothing stopping you from getting an additional single Re-entry Permit (or more than one) if you wish. However, as someone stated above, they do consume pages in your passport.

Most countries likely to have foreign retirees coming here seem to have a tax treaty with Thailand. These normally provide that income is not taxed in both countries.

No problem. You can come and go as often as you like. A multiple Re-entry Permit is available, which saves a little money and paperwork if you expect four or more trips. And it doesn't matter even if you spend most of your time out of Thailand. Note: you can only do your annual renewal In Thailand, so you need to be here then.

My heart is in my throat....
Sorry I can't type Thai-----"3 thoom" is 9:00 p.m. There is no way we will see anyone emerge 3 hrs. from now or even at 3:00 p.m. Let's all hope and pray for a positive outcome this evening.

The usual "grid" style of TV schedule seems to have disappeared. There are boxes you can click on for "Movies" etc.
I have recently moved. My new True remote control has a new feature which my old one did not. Now I can click a "Guide" button which gives me a linear schedule for the channel I am presently watching. It is slow and tedious, but better than nothing.

On the south side of Sirinthorn Road, just east of its intersection with Borom-mara-ratchachan-nani Road, Bang Plat District. (Approx. 400metres east of the former Sai Tai Mai Bus Station, now being used as a van station.)

Yes,you can get a Work Permit with a waiver.

A waiver is an exemption from the licensing requirement, for those who can not qualify for a licence, or who are waiting for their licence application to be processed. Out of curiosity, have you written a TOEIC ?

I have just sent you a Private Mail. Sign in to see it.

Unless she has gone to court, and obtained a judgment against you, you have nothing to worry about. Even if she has done that, I would think she would prefer to have you in Thailand, where she might have some small chance of collecting the money.

What is, or was, "the Nonthaburi project"?

It doesn't matter if your wife is over 50. She can still be your dependent.
The "90 day reporting" referred to on the consulates website is not a requirement that you leave the country. It is not actually part of the visa, and it applies to all foreigners who are here in Thailand for 90 days or more. It is simply a requirement that you confirm your place of residence. Forgetting, or failing, to do it does not void your visa, though there is a fine payable.

I concur with glegolo. Once you have your visas, you can obtain Re-entry Permits to keep your visas alive while you are out of Thailand. Conversely, if you do not obtain these, your visas would be voided when you left Thailand, and you would have to start over.
Shorter term visas are for people who can't meet the qualifications for annual ones (and of course, for those only intending to stay for a shorter period).

Over the years, I have obtained several cashier's cheques (mostly from Bangkok Bank), and paid only B 20.

Which border crossing are you planning to use ?
Applying for a Non-B visa with the new school. A question.

I have never heard of this procedure. I think that the new school should prepare the necessary documents for the Non -B Visa, which he should then take to Lao with him. If there is any reason why the Thai Embassy (Vientienne) or Consulate (Savannakhet) will not issue the Non-B, they will tell him that when he is there. They will surely issue him a Tourist Visa, if he needs it to return to Thailand. (He might be able to return Visa Exempt, if he is unable to get the Non-B Visa.)
