The Dell Thailand website doesn't let you customise a build, but if contact Dell they'll put you in contact with the Dell dealer, Atom Worldwide, they will order any of the current models to your specifications. I've had two laptops built to order from them, you can either call or email them details on the Atom Worldwide website.

quiet a bustling nightlife though
Yes I remember the 'Disco' in the Marina Hotel, that and trips to inspect the local 'papaya farms'.

"Sungai Kolok pines for its lost charm"
I used to visit Kolok fairly regularly as a visa run when I worked in Malaysia over 20 years ago, I have little recollection of it having much charm beyond the bicycle rickshaw from the checkpoint into town.

+1 for the Rang Mahal - one of the best Indian restaurants in Bangkok.
Babette's Steakhouse at the top of Hotel Muse on Lang Suan has great food and splendid views.

On each occasion I've been asked to provide 3 months bank statements showing an income of (now) £1400 per month minimum.
I received my Non-O multi from the Embassy in London (by post) in May this year, I didn't supply any evidence of finance, and none was asked for.
All that was required was as follows:
- Passport
- Completed application form
- 2x Recent passport photo
- Copy of ID page of my passport
- Copy of wedding certificate
- Copy of wife's ID
- Postal order for £125 + £10 for return postage made payable to: The Royal Thai Embassy
- Self addressed envelope

As of July 13th there's now a minibus shuttle from Hat Yai airport to Hat Yai, calling at both the big bus and minivan terminals.
Shuttle runs every hour on the hour at a flat fee of Bht60 per person.
We also have Grab Taxi in Hat Yai as of last month.

Good grief, the UK is absolutely one of the US's most important allies.
Not only that, but one of the few countries it has a trading surplus with!!

Nonsense, the khoisan are the indigenous people of South Africa, the whites were there long before the savages migrated down south and ruined everything.

My daughter recently got a Vivo V9, traded in her old iPhone 6, she's happy with it, does all the stuff she needs with a good battery life.

how are prices for dell thailand vs dell usa?
After factoring in shipping costs, insurance and import duty it was still fractionally more expensive to purchase through Dell Thailand.

Strange indeed, I paid 90,000 baht for a high end dell it was shipped using one of the US forwarding companies and passed straight through to my home (insured for full value).
Both my Dell laptops (v. high end) I had built to order through the Dell dealer in Bangkok, no need to order from abroad.

Sounds interesting, I've never been to Songkhla. How do you get there? My nearest airport isKhon Kaen. So I guess fly to BKK, but then?
There's a direct flight from Khon Kaen to Hat Hai with Air Asia, and Thai Lion fly direct Hat Yai - Udon Thani.

Songkhla is an 85 km drive to Padang Besar, at the Malaysian border. That's as far south as you can go, so I think many of us might disagree with you.
It's kind of like saying Chiang Rai is not in the north of Thailand.
Actually to nit-pick, and I'm sure someone will, so it might as well be me, the furthest point south is just beyond Betong, that's about 200km from Songkhla Town. So sure, Songkhla Town isn't in the Pattani States, the 'Deep South', but it is only 40km north of the big army checkpoint that marks the frontline, south of which bad things happen to people on a regular basis.

As pointed out in the post above, saying Songkhla isn't in the south of Thailand is the same as saying Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai aren't in the north, besides which your post adds nothing to the OP's question.

"dark side"
Haven't been through there after dark in an age, most recent was trip in daylight to the Indonesian Consulate. It looks remarkably seedy, but then these areas always do in the harsh light of day. I noted that The Office is still there, it's just by the consulate. The Buzz Stop (Irish Bar) is just round the corner and does a good breakfast, looks like it could be festive in the evening. Don't forget to post some reviews of bars & restaurants after your trip. Have fun.

You even get paperless billing now.
A life saver given the bill to the house often arrived after the bill was due, not sure if it was TOT being tardy or the postman. Whatever, I now get the e-bill on the 20th of the month for payment by the 12th of next month. Easy enough to pay from my Krungsri account via the TOT e-Service website.

Songhkla Town is probably safer than many places in Thailand exactly because of the troubles to the south. Yes the BP Samila is still there, as are the seafood restaurants along the front. They've spruced the town up a bit since you were there last, fancy pavements and many art installations.

Yep, I've had no problems with PureVPN, certainly no deluge of unwanted messages; works fine across my Windows and Linux desktops, Android mobile and TV-Box.

Metered Taxi Cooperatives.
It's a joke! Meter, what meter, they never turn the damn things on, the fare from the airport is fixed at Bht250 into town.
Non-meterered Taxi Uncooperative.
Take the AOT limo service, it's only Bht50 more, better vehicle, less hassle.
