A gambling man I see....
Or just a careful driver.
I've been driving for over 40 years, I've been fortunate that apart from a few incidents in my youth I've been lucky. I've not had any sort of accident or damage in the last 35 years. Renting vehicles I have the finances to cover the excess if necessary and over the years the money I've saved will more than cover the costs should the worst happen.
I don't consider it a gamble.

I don't bothered with excess insurance.

I'm here in the UK for five weeks. I have a car from Keddy, part of Europcar, the hire for 36 days works out at £18.95 per day, that's for an economy model Vauxhall Corsa 5 door manual. I booked it via Rental Cars rather than directly through Europcar, the difference in the cost of the hire was significant - about 25% cheaper via Rental Cars. So would strongly recommend you check the consolidator sites in addition to going directly to car hire companies.

I don't have enough knowledge about Kodi to make my own build.
Also wouldn't have the time, or know where to start to find the best addons and keep constantly updating them as they disappear or new ones appear.
You don't need to make your own build, just make use of sites like Wireless Shack and the details of best current working addons
http://www.wirelesshack.org/top-best-working-kodi-video-add-ons.html
It's easy enough to follow the instructions on locating the repositories and installing the addons.

But who in their right minds would want to fly via Paris CDG - the worst airport in the world, and the pre-eminent example of the French pursuit of style over function.

Surley the baggage weight needs to be accurate?
How can I choose a seat?KLM economy baggage allowance is 1 piece checked luggage maximum weight 23kg, 1 piece hand luggage, + 1 accessory (laptop/handbag), maximum total weight 12kg. They weigh your checked baggage but generally only look at the size of your carry on bag.
You can choose seats on-line but there's an additional charge of around Bht650, if you pick a seat at check-in it's free but there's no guarantee you won't find yourself with a choice of the middle seat only. As suggested check-in early to avoid disappointment.

KLM is door 7.
Check-in online for KLM is a complete waste of time, as the baggage drop and check-in counters are one and the same. Check-in is easy enough, there's a single snake queue for the check-in/baggage drop counters.
You'll get a single boarding pass that does for both your Amsterdam and onward UK flight, so don't lose it!!
I flew out with KLM last week, all very quick, nice new 777-300. Food was shocking but it's never been KLM's strong point.

So to conclude,if you want to use Kodi, TOT is certainly not the ISP you want to have, as they very obviously block streaming.
The one thing I do know about TOT is that results vary. Individual experiences across Thailand can be very, very, different. So whilst your connection speeds are slow and you have issues streaming via Kodi, my experience is the opposite.
The important thing when selecting your ISP is to ask around locally, what works fine in one area might not work at all somewhere else. Generalisations aren't greatly helpful, you need to do local research.

Did the public taxi queue get rid of the ticket machines?
The 'Regular' taxi queue leads to 3 of the ticket machines, the 'Large' taxi queue is allocated 1 ticket machine that only dispenses tickets for station wagon/SUV/people carrier vehicles.

No, the ticket machines are there for 'Regular' and 'Large' taxi queues, the 'Local' taxi queue goes to a desk.

It's been like that for a few months now. The line moves quickly enough; Swampy is a well oiled machine compared to Don Quixote!

So many new eating and drinking spots in Hat Yai.
The Barrel - (Phone: 084-6934896) (7.004693, 100.479537)
Beer garden on the soi running parallel to Thamnoonvithi about 400m east of Saengthong Vittaya Catholic School. Pleasant setting, there's a roll on roof if the weather turns nasty. Bar restaurant, mix of western (German meets TexMex) and Thai, wide selection of beers Thai, German & Belgian, plus Brothers Somerset cider. Menu has all the usual Thai favourites, plus steaks, German sausages, ribs, burgers, nachos, even spaghetti & meat balls. Prices are reasonable, Thai dishes from 100 to 250Bht, Western as high as 599 Bht for an Aussy rib-eye steak. Beers are 80-120 for local and up to 250 for the high alcohol Belgian beers. We were only there for the beer, so only had a couple of Thai snacks to go with some weizenbier and a couple of ciders. Will go again and take the family for a meal, nice place.

100/50 Package at 700 Baht
They've changed the packages again. 700 Baht was the rate for 50/20, that has dropped to 590 Baht. The new promo Fibre 2 U - 'Net Revo', whatever that's supposed to mean, is below.
Just requested they upgrade me to 100/50 from my current 50/20 for 700Bht.

I've used Raja's Fashions at 160 Sukhumvit Road. Very happy with the quality of their work and the price is reasonable too.

Well yes, if you have the finances readily available to cover yourself you're laughing.
However, should you opt not to take the insurance, and you don't have money enough to cover yourself, then that would be no laughing matter.
