By the sound of it quite possibly considerable

Love the dirty power station spewing clouds of pollution in the background of the OP photo!
I think it's a palm oil processing plant, lots of them in the south, and yes they often produce a lot of nasty black smoke.

But that's just another incompetent muppet who doesn't know how to use a washing machine properly.

And, presumably, you love to have your clothes twisted in knots during each wash cycle.
Ups to you, of course.
My wife does the washing, so I don't really give a hoot - and she's never complained.
On the occasions I've used the machine, I can't say I noticed any "clothes twisted in knots" - so would suspect operator error.

The longer runway is anticipated to allow larger aircraft to land, subsequently increasing the influx of tourists.
I think most tourists to Betong come from Malaysia, and drive or catch the bus. They can enlarge the airport as much as they want but no one's coming.

I just tell them that I'm on a special VIP visa, issued by the Thai government for ex-SAS/Navy Seals etc. And if they dare to gossip about this, then I will have to kill them....
Same visa as me!
No one's ever asked me, but I live in an unfashionable provincial backwater, on the fringes of a war zone.

There is some form you have to fill out online before entering Singapore, but it's quick and easy.
It's online now, you have to complete the e-arrival card 3 days before arrival, no more paper arrivals card.

Yes and no. Wise is a fintech company, not a bank.
As an alternative you can use Monzo, which is a licenced bank in the UK, who partner with Wise for International transfers. You can integrate your Wise account into your Monzo app so International transfers via Wise work seamlessly.
