Yes. You are right. But usually the new mutation get less and less severe...this is the pattern that has been found with most viruses. There is a very low chance of a more severe mutation happening. I think will backfire on China. As their people have poor quality vaccines and they don't offer imnunity to the New strains of covid. They also haven't been exposed to the New strains from outside China. So when they go to other countries they wi get infected with these covid strains and get very sick.. Perhaps needing to go to hospital. They could also take back the new strains to China on their return, and make people there sick...and with their already overflowing hospitals they are going to get overwhelmed.

The covid strains now are all mild, with or without shots. Not being vaccinated has little to do with this thread. It's the vaccinated people in the magority and they are the ones panicking about the other vaccinated Chinese people coming here. I'm not vaccinated and I have never had covid. I don't care about getting it either any more that I would not wand to catch the flu or a bad cold. But I am very concerned about an I crease in cases here and more lock downs and restriction etc, due to this stupid idea to allow Chinese back here in large numbers.

6-year-old in custody after shooting teacher in Virginia, police chief says
jak2002003 replied to Scott's topic in World News
Solution... Arm all the teachers and other kinder garden children with guns for protection. America hahah -
I mix coconut fibre, rice husks and dry leaves from my garden plants into the soil. Well actually I just chuck it on top, as before the soil was too hard to dig. It breaks down really quickly during the wet season and the soil is now rich and soft after a couple of years. I also don't use any chemicals in the garden so lots of worms and insects moved in and they do a good job improving the soil too. The rice husks and coconut fibre are really cheap and can be found at locally at small garden shops or some pet shops / DIY places. You can spread the mixture over lawns and the grass grows through it. Also when you cut the grass, leave the clippings on top of the lawn to decompose back into the soil. Then you are putting nutrients back into the lawn and don't have to throw aways bags of clippings. Sand is good to use too on areas of poor drainage or very compacted hard clay areas.

Thailand gets ready for return of Chinese tourism
jak2002003 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
So if someone is random tested in their hotel, what will happen if they test positive? Will they be locked in their room for 10 days or shipped off to a covid field hospital. I have not desire to see the return of travel restrictions and lock downs again. Already I see Thai people are all wearing masks everywhere outside again. -
NO amount of alcohol is safe! WHO experts warn
jak2002003 replied to Social Media's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Yes. And I agree. I have many ways to reduce stress too. Only one is a relaxing evening watching a classic film while drinking brandy and eating a good quality imported dark chocolate bar, while my other half gives me a foot massage....heaven. -
NO amount of alcohol is safe! WHO experts warn
jak2002003 replied to Social Media's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I'd rather die not too old and only short time ill rather then live a long time with pain and suffering. Drinking alcohol in excess once in a while or in moderate amount regularly is not going to kill you. I am sure drinking a bit will reduce stress levels and they stress is a major cause of ill health. Actually, if you read all the stuff health experts say, nearly everything is bad for our health, from processed food, meat, sunlight UV radiation, toothpaste, sugar, salt, artificial sweeteners, electricity radiation from your TV or phone, fruit juices, BBQ food, cooked food, fat, vegetable spreads, cheese, milk, and overdone toast, and even sex. -
That's dumb. They obviously prevent infections of they reduce the amount of covid going around. If less covid then less infections.

So why have any vaccines at all?

Thailand Opens to All Visitors, Recommends Health Insurance
jak2002003 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I predict that too. ???? Thai pass, mandatory mask wearing everywhere outsode the house, temperature checks entering places, booster and more vaccines for all the new varients, restricted bar opening times, dirty looks and avoiding anyone who is not Thai for fear they are disease ridden, etc etc. So boring. If this happens again I will leave. I can't stand another round of that stupidity and political <deleted>! -
I used to keep them and they free ranged all day in our mango orchard. I hated them in the end. The noise is soooooo annoying. It's not too loud but it was the constant none stop repetitiveness of it. I had to re home them in the end. They also learnt to peck on the glass windows of our bedroom to wake us up at sun rise. That, coupled with the noise is not a good combination when you have a hangover. They also do not understand fencing or walls. Chickens know to fly up on top and back ovwe to get home. The guinea fowl never worked this out and got trapped often out on the road where dogs would get them. Not as smart as my chickens. If you still want to keep them here are some tips. Feed. I fed mine chicken and duck layer pellets. They also ate chicken chick starter crumbs when young. They got all the grit themselves. If you use some course building sand of mixed sizes in the pen as bedding that will do OK. They like vegetables or all kinds and also catch insects and small animals to eat. You can feed them mashed up hard boiled eggs complete with shells as extra protein when chicks and adults. Oh. They also like to dust bath. One good thing about them is they eat ticks and will clear your land of them. If you get young ones you can train them to free range and come back to the coop at night. If you get adults do not attempt this as they will freak out and fly off never to return. Wait till they have young and them free range the young. Good luck. I likes my pied ones and white ones the best. If only they had a mute button. The bantam chicken eggs are good eating BTW. Look good in salads or as mini poached eggs. Also half the calories of a regular chicken egg haha.

Thailand prepares for influx of Chinese tourists
jak2002003 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
They will choose Chinese over everything else some reason. -
More to this story. If there were other people there watching this why did they not get the snake off him? They could grab snakes tail and unwind it.. If desperate and not knowing what to do they could have easily resorted to getting a knife and cutting the snakes head off. Maybe being new year they were all drunk and messing around with the snake. Did the guy even have anything to put the snake into to take home?

Abused Capybara in Khon Kaen sparks outcry on social media
jak2002003 replied to webfact's topic in Isaan News
Not if they are domesticated well cared for pet birds. The would die if released. So long as the cage is large and they have free time to fly in the house then they have a better life then most wild birds. I agree catching wild birds and caging then is cruel though. I have pet budgies and finches. They live in a large outdoor aviary in my garden and they are very happy. If I let then out they would die of starvation, get killed my wild birds and cats. As for the OP a good zoo that allowed the animals to be in naturalistic large inclosures and care for them well.... Nothing wrong with that. Most zoo animals are actually captive born these days and used to humans. -
Problem is the lock downs, restrictions and extra documents regulations for travel etc, that could happen once the government panic if covid cases start to increase. They already started saying they want travellers from all countries to start getting vaccination certificates etc again now as they don't want China to feel singled out.

I don't know what response that was. I am not 'triggered' and not 'trolling'. I was just trying to help you as I am interesting in wildlife myself. Wish I never bothered now. ????
-
I am not trolling. I have gone out of my way to help you with your question. I told you what it is already. Variable Squirrel. This is the most common one in your area and found in urban areas too. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finlayson's_squirrel
-
OK. No idea how you expect someone to know what it is though if you have no photo, and can't see it with your own eyes clearly. There are many squirrel species found in your area. ????
-
I gave you the Latin name of the species you provided a photograph of. But you can't expect us to know what species you are seeing with no photo and your vague discription of it being as big as a cat. You say you did research yourself.. I suggest you do more. It would be easier for you to find a photo on the net of squirrels negative to Thailand.
