Pattaya Police Crack Down on Beach Prostitution, Arrest 20 Foreign Women

it's a good job by the police, firstly because there is absolutely no need for these in Thailand and second because removing them from the offer will hopefully also curb arrivals of their potential customer pools. -

thank you so much 🙂 but actually, I'm in the same case as you, my Russian is quite bad, but my Ukrainian is even worse! I learned most of the Ukrainian I know from when we froze our nuts off with cousin Andriy near Vinnytsia, it was negative 30°C (-70°C if including wind chill) and then he brought out a couple of bottles of horilka and salo. Next thing I remember is doing snow angels outside. Cousin Andriy is 58 now, he's been trying to avoid recruiters, but his luck ran out and now he's transporting stuff, maybe horilka, to Ukrainian front line troops to help fight the Russians. I hope he will be okay, his family needs him. Let's hope all these Rashists and Northern-Banzais croak really fast. -

hmm. your concerns are mostly based on the METV, while as I see it, the DTV represents a fundamental change of concept. the METV was for tourists to come and do touristy things, while the "digital nomad" type of DTV is explicitly for working remote. maybe it could be a good thing to come prepared with printouts of Immigration's webpages about DTV. If that fails, I also have my attorney's business card with me. P.S. to directly link to a post, you can hover its date, such as "posted X hours ago" or "posted November 9" and right-click to select "copy link"

the DTV visa itself says "multiple" - theres no way going around that to charge extra.

Heroyam slava! Thank you for your updates. I hope you can preserve your manpower. the map seems to be lagging behind a bit - but seeing that situation it only made sense to pull out of these villages. I hope the men made it out. -

it's not that easy. firstly, Ukraine has no incentive at all to accept such a freeze. secondly, for Russia such a freeze would be very problematic. one of its main problems would be the winding down of the war economy, as many of the more skilled Russians have left and they would face a reflux of unskilled young men from the frontlines who know how to use weapons and who are going to be unemployed. such a freeze would jeopardize Putin's dictatorship. -

French Tourist Warned for Riding Electric Scooter on Koh Phangan Roads
tgw replied to Georgealbert's topic in Koh Samui News
Thai police daring to comment the safety of riding a one-wheeled motorcycle while not acting upon others riding the wrong way, underage driving, 3 or 4 people on motorcycles or without a driving license is pure comedy. -
yes, I got everything set up too. my upcoming DL renewal next year is the only issue I have spotted, I'm on the lookout for more potential issues.
-
Yes. My question is about other potential restrictions a DTV holder could face vs. a Non-Imm visa holder. For example, possibly, opening a bank account ? What important administrative or legal processes require a Non-Imm visa ?

I must say, as much as I am displeased by Trump's election win, I am also amused at the perspective of a spat between Putin and Trump, the latter trying to get a "deal" from Putin, getting humiliated by Putin and as a consequence sending even more firepower into Ukraine than Zelenskyy requests. Trump trying his best (or his worst - it's the same) to end the war in 24h will be amusing. -
I really like the built-in multiple entries. no need to ask for a re-entry permit with a DTV, right ?
-
I own my condo, is this good enough to get a certificate of residence ? I can easily obtain a DTV, but I read somewhere that my current 5 year DL would then become 2 year temporary licences, which isn't great, and I hate going to the DLT, it's a lost day. Also many officials, such as cops, look at the driving license and things get much more relaxed when they see the violet strip. I still have a company in Thailand, just without me on the payroll.

I mean, the DL might not be the only issue. Maybe there are issues for postpaid phone, car lease contracts, etc.
