  1. Making cheap labour unattractive to workers isn't the way to go IMO. It will just cause the middle class to not be able to afford some things anymore, and then it will spiral.
  2. HILARIOUS ! why would Trump pay Daniels even more money now that the scandal has already been made public ? methinks Stormy got more to tell ! I sure hope she does. lol
  3. I would view such a development as a major threat to Thailand as a country of residence and of retirement. Firstly, the handouts would have to come from somewhere, and together with the plans for taxation of expats, it's not hard to see why this is a threat. More taxation of Thais and Thai businesses will cause prices to rise, so living costs will rise too. This type of handout will also cause work to become less attractive, so wages will need to go up, which will cause both unemployment and rise of prices. Because of the above, some services will become unavailable or expensive. It's the first step of a recipe for disaster, really.
  4. Bringing North Korean soldiers really really reeks of desperation

  6. let's ask North Korea for help 🤣
  7. A modern military is 90% about logistics. Warehousing, transports, driving, inventory management, personnel management, intendance, supplies, food, medical .... a large majority of military jobs are not combat roles. I also do believe that a deal should be struck with potential recruits - their family gets well cared for while they serve in the military - with an appropriate compensation that covers their family's future in case of their injury or death. Form reserve bataillons, train them for 6 months and then assign them as reserve/training units to existing fighting units so they can at first fill support roles and learn the ropes and replace losses.
  8. just return it and get your money back ? I did that several times with fake products.
  9. don't worry, peril will still come to them in the form of Ukrainian long range drones. Slava Ukraini !
  10. I despise Trump but I don't have a problem with that. Falls well within the authority of a president and within the scope of official acts.
  11. last update on this I performed the last step and cloned Windows onto the new RAID 1 volume, everything is working well.
  12. update: I'm on track to solving the problem(s) the bluescreens were caused by faulty sata cables. I looked into the connectors and they seemed corroded, so I swapped them out and no more bluescreens. after that, I played around with some BIOS settings and finally I got Intel RST to work. in Intel RST, I noticed one of the NVMe disks had "status: unknown and usage: unknown", while the other had "status: normal and usage: available". so I swapped these drives out for another pair, and all worked as expected, I could create my RAID 1 volume in BIOS and it shows up properly in Intel RST and windows. So all I have to do now is clone the system disk onto the RAID volume and set it as boot disk in the BIOS.
  13. hmm. maybe you can explain why it's a bad idea? this box should become a high availability system. RAID 1 has served me very well in the past against disk failure (the data backup is on other devices). I admit my knowledge about UEFI / NVMe / Windows Secure Boot is limited, I would like to keep things as simple as possible regarding the NVMe RAID disks, ideally they should be readable on another system too.
  14. I need help for configuring my system please, I have been running in circles. Situation: I have a ASUS PRIME H370 Plus motherboard (i7-8700k) with a connected SATA SSD and Windows 10 Pro installed. Settings in BIOS are: - PCH Storage setting SATA controller enabled - PCH Storage setting SATA mode AHCI - SATA SSD on SATA port #3 Boots with CSM disabled, Intel RST was running in Windows. What I want to do: - install 2x NVMe SSD Samsung mzvlq512hblu-000h1 (they are blank, unformatted) - mount as RAID 1 - transfer (clone) Windows 10 onto RAID volume - set RAID volume as boot disk Trying to do that, I have been running into trouble: - after I installed the 2 NVMe on the motherboard, the computer booted, but RST stopped working. I reinstalled RST with the latest version, but then it refuses to start, claiming "unsupported platform". - at that point, I could see both NVMe in BIOS listed under "NVMe device configuration" - I activated Intel RAID optane in PCH storage settings, PCH Storage setting SATA mode Intel RST RAID premium optane, PCH Storage setting M2_1 controlled by RST, PCH Storage setting M2_2 controlled by RST - boot from m2 appeared in boot options, but I still chose to boot from the existing boot disk - with these settings, the PC bluescreened - Secure boot setting had always been on "other OS", I activated CSM and then was able to boot normally as before - in Windows storage manager, both NVMe disks are recognized, visible and formattable - Intel RST still doesn't work - Going back into the BIOS, I thought I would now try to make a RAID 1 volume. - In the RAID configuration, only ONE NVMe disk is available for RAID, so I could not make a RAID volume - Under "NVMe device configuration" it now says "No NVMe devices found" Can someone please help me or point me to some documentation detailing the steps I need to take? I imagine I'm not the only one who tried to do that.
  15. there are many reports of Russian troops pillaging locals. yes, Russian soldiers abuse their own people. that's probably the reason.
  16. I don't know what emoji would have been appropriate to react to your post with - anyway, I wish you all the best. Hopefully you get well supplied and get some reinforcements. Thank you for the updates. Geroyam Slava !
  17. that's also why Putin is changing his nuclear doctrine... probably. right ? right ? because Ukraine is about to lose, right ?

  19. "zmisha" must be a parody account created to amuse the readers. regardless, this is a picture of Russia's Sarmat II test site https://edition.cnn.com/2024/09/24/europe/russia-sarmat-missile-test-failure-intl/index.html Anyway, Russia wanted to flex its nuclear strike capabilities with that new Sarmat II test launch, but instead became the world's laughing stock... again.
  20. In the civilized world, it will be considered trespassing and if forcing sex, it will be rape, regardless if still married or not. Continue with your analogies, you are perfectly explaining why Russia belongs into prison.
  21. delusional abusive violent ex. okay. I like your analogies because they are spot-on, you even roleplay the delusion.
