  1. if OP has been prescribed Amoxi in high dosage, there probably is a reason for it. In this case, reducing dosage is wrong, it will reduce the effectiveness of the treatment a lot and the result will possibly be a longer lasting infection with Amoxi-resistant bacteria. high dosage Amoxi treatments are usually quite short, just about 4-5 days.
  2. okay, I was expecting something like this, many thanks for the info. the muangthai link from above offers 100 million coverage. there is one thing about "expat health insurance" that I strongly dislike though - it's their support for pricing schemes that I personally consider fraudulent, especially regarding medicines. independent pharmacies are not much better in that regard. go to fill a prescription, and boom, pay 15 or 20 times the real cost of the medicine, yes, that's a box of pills procured for 60 baht sold for 1200 baht. I recently contacted April, and their quote for me was nearly 4000 EUR/year for their "essential plan" (cough) but included outpatient, medicines and preventive medicine. Ideally, I would like in-patient and preventive medicine to be covered. In Switzerland for example, the minimum compulsory coverage includes a coloscopy every 5 years plus other exams if the GP prescribes them. I would like to have a yearly check-up plus all the periodic checks that make sense, like a yearly blood test, etc.
  3. it's time for me to review my options regarding health insurance. I want to have a look at Thai options. Who has experience with Thai health insurance companies? Plans such as this one seem attractive: https://www.muangthai.co.th/en/health-insurance/elite-health another hit that turned up on google: https://www.thaihealth.co.th (as a web developer myself, I think their footer notice is a bit scary though: "Powered by WordPress , Theme i-excel by TemplatesNext. ") judging from this page at Bumrungrad, there are many Thai insurance companies: https://www.bumrungrad.com/zh/patient-services/insurance-we-accept#ThaiandExpat
  4. good to know it's possible, but since I rely on this laptop for working, I won't try to upgrade anything unless absolutely necessary.
  5. Well, I can't. Incompatible processor. Only newish machines can install it.
  6. yes... and Windows 10 really is quite similar to Win 7. people who say Windows 10 is worse than Windows 8, haven't tried Windows 10 at all.

  8. you are not wrong. and JT isn't wrong either. I was very "greed is good" until I discovered almost everyone is better at greed than me.
  9. it's ok as long as losses also bring tax breaks in equal amounts.
  10. no, 10 liters is ridiculously low. a household with 3 adults each drinking an average of 2 large bottles a day (not enough to get drunk by a large margin) would need to visit the shop every 3 days to resupply.
  11. Mr. Mayor, the most part of your resort is still closed and under prohibition.
  12. the value of gold has a soft cap because of reserves and production. if aiming for a jackpot, go for BTC. gold is okay for value conservation, especially considering current inflation woes.
  13. here is your full post: I could have included tricycles and yoopalas to demonstrate how nonsensical your post is. Next up: 14 year old children are not supposed to shoot. Shoot what? their Nerf gun? rubber arrows?
  14. I only had problems with my TCL. Their warranty repair service is bad too - they had to come 3 times and didn't properly identify or fix the problem (problem is that their IR controller overheats and then stops working). The TCL TV came with outdated firmware that didn't support the functions advertised on the box.
  15. the problem with good quality Smart TV is that they last too long. I have a Panasonic Smart TV I bought in 2015 which can't do H265, and Panasonic didn't make a newer firmware with the codec. But H265 requires more CPU, so maybe they weren't even able even if they wanted to. Software and processor are anyway the usual weak points of cheaper TV, so my best advice would be to go for a basic 4k model with good connectivity and to use a box for the smart functions. When you choose the TV, it's important to choose one that supports the latest technical standards, both in image quality and connectivity. That means for today's market, your 4k TV should support HDMI 2.1 - especially if you also plan to use it as a computer monitor.
  16. I'm guessing the formulation in the article is inaccurate. It's probably very difficult in a Thai bank to find persons with enough seniority to talk to the press and who also possess enough banking knowledge to correctly pass the information on, and then add the translation of an approximate formulation into English. The gaps between seniority and knowledge have caused big problems in the past such as the 1987 crash and the subprime crash, as well as most larger data management/security issues, as managers make decisions they don't fully understand.
  17. "intentionally engineered" doesn't mean "intentionally released" and is close to being a misleading misrepresentation of potential facts => propaganda. what is meant is that the virus or a precursor virus may have been engineered, possibly within WIV or another lab there, possibly for vaccine research purposes.
  18. My hole in one history is rather crazy. I have been playing for over 35 years. I shot TWO hole in one during the same year in 2007, 2 months apart, on 2 different par 3 of the same course, both during a competitive event.
  19. I have bad news for you: https://www.express.co.uk/life-style/health/211721/Cures-we-discovered-by-chance And there is also off label use: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Off-label_use
